It seems like a good game. The main problem is that people keep expecting this to be the new Arkham game instead of expecting it to be something it's own. Kinda funny how the game is in the shadow of its predecessors much like how the Knights are coming out of the shadow of Batman.
That’s exactly what I’ve been saying! Everyone keeps thinking this is Arkham 2.0 and if they keep thinking that they’re gonna be majorly disappointed.
It's a beat em up game open world game. Kinda like Yakuza/Judgement game.

Even in reviews I've watched they literally say it's not even part of the arkham universe yet in the same sentence rate it badly because of how it doesn't play like an arkham game.
I really like this game so far. It is really different than Arkham. Once I was able to accept that it became so much better. The overall vibe is a lot of fun.

@@ChubiceOfChunckle20 yea, they decided to make it a grindy rpg game which i love but its hit or miss for some fans, most people were expecting it to play like arkham but its not even in the same genre, maybe ur just not an rpg kinda guy, hopefully youll enjoy the story tho

so far my only complaint is that the combos aren't fast enough. like the individual combat animations are great, but there's this really weird delay in between strikes that makes combat feel slower than it could. if they could just reduce that delay by like 15%, combat would feel a lot more fluid. it's still fun tho, Red Hood main for life
Yeah the combos are way too slow.
If you use timed strikes there isn't a delay
I think it's like that because of how the combat is., If you move too fast you won't be open to get hit often enough. I think they did that so that you can have your combos interrupted. Nightwing does have a knighthood skill that does speed up his combat movement, haven't got it yet but looks cool an basically what ppl want for every character.
Red hood is a BEAST in this game... It's like playing a futuristic John wick...toxin ranged with ice melee is disgusting in combat 🫠

Got the game yesterday and when I heard the dodge system wasn’t like Arkham City (best feature in the game), I was worried it’s be just a controller button mashing type of game . I LOVE THIS GAME. Co-op is so much fun . My friends were skeptical of it until I streamed it for them and now I have a full team of four when it comes out . Great refresh before COD comes out .
They cut it off at 2 player co-op, no teams of four unfortunately.

I actually really love the game. I was a little concerned when everyone was saying how bad it was, but personally I thought it was great. The only criticism I agree with is the framerate thing; I wouldn't mind 30 but it keeps dipping down to like 20 FPS. It gets better as the game goes on, or maybe I just got used to it.

To get a boss fight follow through on your case files in the batcomputer, I personally got clayface and Harley done early once I realised how the quest chains worked lol

Only issue with the combat to me is the removal of a counter button but that’s fine. The real issue is that nothing you do feels like it has weight behind it. I mean still a good though

played it with my bf, co-op is great! it's very fun together. the only thing I hate is how slow/delayed my character movement is. feels like I don't have control of my character's navigation sometimes
I ran into the same meditation glitch lmao you started all the villain story line but didn't play till the end, that why you missed out on boss fights. You can literally stick to one villain and be fighting them a hour or so into the game.

Bought it on offer just before Xmas and spent about 70 hours on it. I can see past the negatives so I am really enjoying the game.

It’s a really good game but the god damn mr freeze boss fight is a huge pain in my ass I was playing it at level 9 when the recommended was lvl 12-23
My main problem that made me refund this game on Steam was the poor performance in the open world. I have a 12gb RTX 3060 so by no means should I get an average 30-40 fps with 1080p and medium settings.
My only problems with this game are the takedown bonus objectives when there's no dedicated takedown button in combat (it's completely random) and the 30 fps cap. This game would 100% feel and look better if it were running 60.
A little late since I just recently got into this game, but I think the takedowns are available when you’re in a stealth position; it gives you the option for a stealth takedown and an ambush takedown. Hope that helps!

I have my own reservations about the game...I actually like the game too (ive played it) and in as much as i feel the game should not be an arkham clone and should strive to be its new things
And despite respect the decisions as those made of integrity i actually feel some of the choices on the game were actually bad choices
I feel the combat moveset should of been way more fluid and expansive rather than more emphasis on special abilities and power ups allowing for players to be more creative with the use of the moveset and where they move in the field rather than only using the dodging function
The game should not keep holding your hand in so many areas UI beacons and points that dont really do much other than tell you where to go but in of itself break immersion. Like for example When parking the batmobile it gives you this yellow circle if your going to the belfry or another destination thats prioritized but its like. BRO I CAN GO ANYWHERE I CAN PARK ANYWHERE WHAT DO YOU MEAN... or You are leaving the mission area ....or when i do a silent take down it puts me in auto crouch state and not just that in slow walk + auto crouch state when i was walking before which removes my damn swagger and freedom to sneak how i want like im not a baby i know how to stealth....
Mobility i feel the way the game tracks movement is clunky but thats fine my issue is they chose the simpler route due to alot of modern trends in video gaming culture which i respect alot because i do not believe any of the choices made were that out of ignorance or carelessness but i feel this game had an overthinking hind sight problem
Like mystical leap i dont hate the reason behind it even in the comics yeah there is magick shit with Jason getting enhanced by the lazarus pit for a time. but it like. DOUBLE JUMP?! it's so unique that i know its not a negative choice or choice made on bad mind but at the same time i feel they missed the core aspect of why people like the bat familly and its the fact that they control their enviorment to the fullest leaping on rooftops using gadgets to their advantage... It breaks immersion by a sense of going against the core tenants of the narrative
Its left me feeling like loving half of the game and not liking the other half but i feel hate is a strong word
Yeah the tutorial thing on screen cause they need to really make sure we understand (When you will find out if you play long enough anyway trial and error or otherwise)

why? its not a batman game, the whole purpose of the story is that the knights are coming in to their own, learning to be able to protect gotham without him, adding a batman skin would just negate dicks whole character progression of not wanting to be him, the story ends with them saying theyre now gothams protector so dick wouldnt need impersonate bats
Comparing this game to the Arkham games is not fair cause they really are games in different leagues and thinking it's gonna be like those games is gonna kill it for you, if you don't compare them it's a pretty good game, does it have problems, yes but don't let that stop you from having fun
