I changed so many thoughts about the Exo album from the day it came out. I also agree that it wasn't bad, and that they are also allowed to have a "nonamazing" album once in their lifetime. Even if it didn't make everyones jaw drop, it's still an okay album. Although it makes me nervous about the next years one, because I really really don't want it to be similar to this one. One thing that I realised over time, because I listened to NCT continuosly this year, is that it really is true, as some people already said, that the songs were NCT leftovers. Even Shinee this year only got to get those NCT leftovers. If you listen closely, you'll see that Shinee's Hard, then Exist, and then Perfume, as well as a lot of NCT rnb from for example Favorite album, sound very very similar. Which of course is a tad disappointing. I don't know if SM does this all the time though, as I'm not that knowledgable. As for Let me in, that's still a different story because not many groups can pull off stuff like that. It doesn't belong to Shinee's soundscape and NCT simply can't do it. So it was these crazy people who got to do such a song. Sorry for this long ass essay.
shinee’s hard was very nct coded which is why i didn’t include it in the main vid cause i don’t like that sound for them. idk what sm is trying to do but shinee definitely has their own sound and style so why are we trying to become another nct unit? sm has just giving up in the past few years ig cause to me, exo shinee and nct all sounded different and unique to their own so idk what’s happening nowadays in that building. lol i totally get what you mean
