      @user-wt8bc6mc4j That's partially true, but our school systems don't teach kids how to study. The same goes for parents in the US. The US school system is every kid for themselves, and if you need help studying you have to find a kid of similar abilities to work with. You can't even ask your parents for help since most parents in the US don't even know how to do fractions, lol. And if they place you in a sped class you're even more screwed, they're just going to have you sitting in a segregated room for 5 hours a day, doing nothing but counting to 10 multiple times. Honestly the US would be better off if they cut their sped programs.

    • @Lnxtcc

      like "compounded" or phrases related to time periods and formulas for compound interest, while keywords like "simple interest" or "flat interest rate" typically indicate questions about simple interest.

  • @AjDilorenzo31
    @AjDilorenzo31 3 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

    For the sake of the students. On the last problem for fixed interest the formula you use is incorrect! Fixed interest is A=P(1+rt). The variable n=number of times interest is compounded in a year. You should come to 2=1+.06t. Finalizing at 16.6666667 years.
    Be on the look out for FIXED vs COMPOUND two very similar but different formulas.

    True.But you didn‘t touch continuous compounding unlike in your video 3 years ago. You could have derived „e“ ( Euler‘s number) by the compound interest formula as you of course perfectly know. And I think I‘m not quite conform with the vid from 3 years ago. If A = P ( 1+r)^rt and A =Pe^Rt then with b = 1+r the term e^R has to be equal to b. I don‘t think that r and R will coincide exactly. Suppose b = 1.10 then e^0.0953= 1.100xyz ~ b. So R= .0953 = ln 1.1 and not r= .1. This is not to blame you, on the contrary I think you‘re really great in natural sciences and that many people enjoy your absolutely charming voice and style of educating this stuff. Keep on!

So if a home owner is paying .13 cents per kwh and consumes 2500kwh per year... what would the price per kwh be in 25 years from now? thanks !!!!

      I know your comment is years old but it has multiple likes and no replies. So in case anyone else is wondering you would take the starting amount ( .13 in this case) and multiply it by 1.04 (1.00 represents the original amount and .04 represents the 4% annual increase) raised to the 24th power (^24 and not ^25 because the year 1 starting power is itself).
      So the equation would be .13(1.04)^24=.33 kwh

    • @KXIV3471

      n = how many times it is being compounded per year
      if "n" is being compounded quarterly then it is being compounded 4 times per year, hence it being n=4
      but if "n" is compounded weekly there are 52 weeks in a year which means it will be compounded 52 times so n = 52 since "n" represents how many times it is being compounded per year.
