The youngest kid from the interview held on his coach back to escape the initial deluge of water and finding a safe place kilometers deep not during the "rescue". Kudos to the coach for keeping them safe for 11 days before being discovered
Keeping them safe while inside, yes. But he should have never brought 12 teens in the cave so close to monsoon season in the first place in my opinion.
The monsoon came early,it's amazing how people like this guy who castigates the coach, fail to ever realise that circumstances can create a problem, instead of being negative be positive that the coach found a solution to the problem as best he could,I suppose people like the guy who commented are the same people who blame everything that goes wrong in their lives on someone else.
@@BryBergilicious we humans make mistake , you, me and others, no matter how much you try to evade that. It's human nature. , The future just full of surprises, no one can really predict it perfectly.
@@BryBergiliciousfrom what I've heard the kids would have gone anyway. Some of them had been there before and they knew the way plus they were the ones who wanted to go in. The sign post outside only warned of July - November. It was dry when they entered the cave with no signs of the monsoon and they were only going to be an hour so they could get the youngest home for tutoring. It wouldn't have seemed risky. Plus when they were in the cave they were in the part that flooded last (a few days after they were trapped) so didn't have warning signs until they were already trapped.
When I was in Thailand, and clearly is still apropo, it is a country of smiles. The Thais were always very polite and helpful when I was there, especially in business establishments, no matter how small it was. It was a complete joy to be in Thailand (even during the monsoons).
Please leave them alone from now on. They are not from Bangkok or any big cities, and it can be too overwhelming for them. They will never recover and move on if the press keeps hounding them. If we really care for them, we should call this an end. Thanks.
I am sure this is just one of the last videos for now as the 12 boys and their coach will be ordained as novice monks, they will shun from the media and live a contemplative life for sometime. Adul is the only Christian in the group. But then... watching about their latest update is a guilty pleasure!!!
These kids are very innocent children and I hope they stay that way. Being innocent might help them to overcome the trauma, so the best thing for them is to leave them alone. I love Titan and the boys, and you can see they can be quite uneasy at times facing the press, and that pains my heart. We can't help them to face the PTSD if it happens so please try to lessen the chances.
I agree with you but i really doubt it, if their life will be quiet and simple like before,,people from other countries inviting them ,,this Saga will not end so soon ,,,
Please, I know this is news, but give those boys some time to stabilize and deal with the psychological impact of their ordeal. They may be sending peace signs, but they may not be at peace themselves. Please give them space!
Olga Frias -The two fingered sign in Thailand does not mean peace or victory-it is just a cute and fooling around for a photo thing that Thai people of every age do
Thai officials literally said DONT interview them. DONT bother them. Even if they say its ok like that’s so unhealthy damn yall news channels really do anything for the scoop
They had permission to do these interviews and they had a child psychologist with them during the interview. They reviewed ahead of time what they would talk about. I’m glad they did that. Instead of just exploiting them and subjecting them to more trauma . But you wouldn’t know they did all that by watching this video alone. It’s not explained here. Horrible, he should have left the boy alone as requested by osychologists, psychiatrists and Thai authorities. Really inappropriate of the reporter to touch him like that too-you can see the boy is taken aback and shocked at that overfamiliarity. The boy and his father looked really uncomfortable during this interview. It probably wasn't helped by the reporters over exuberant style, loud voice and the inability of the reporter to speak Thai, so the boy didn't understand what the reporter was saying, and probably couldn't understand why the reporter suddenly grabbed him and was pointing his finger at him seemingly aggressively. Thoroughly cringeworthy. Can't the Thai aithorities eject this man from Thailand before he has the chance to further traumatize these kids
Joy Siohoa Shawol That is like saying the child rapist was gentle with his victim, therefore it wasn't a crime and wouldn't traumatize the victim. The reporters were asked to stay away from the boys for good reason, but this reporter obviously feels that rules and directions don't apply to him or his network. The Thai authorities announced that they had hoped that the Western media would behave more respectfully, maturely and with common sense. But given the way a lot of these western man-babies behaved during the rescue ie flying drones near tbe helicoptors, refusing to stay in the area the media were moved to, trampling through someone's plantation to get exclusive footage and ducking down in the foliage to hide from Thai authorities and generally acting like they were on school camp, the authorities should have anticipated more bad behaviour from them and been more rigorous in expelling jounalists, reporters and camermen to send a message to others

thank you Jams for your delightful. more than that I always see your soft touch . in this drop in, it makes me smile because its not like press media interview or force the boy and his family.
I lived in Chiang Rai at this time. The kids were ALL sedated and were taken out by two divers each over a multi day period of time . No one carried anyone on their back out the cave from where they were stranded. as many portiona of the route out were completely flooded. I have to say that the thai navy seals and the British cae divers along with the two diving physicians were extremely brave and exhibited a true valor in their extremely taxing and complex game plan . My high school students in Samakkhai Wittikhom, Chiang Rai, were extremely concerned and asked me during the days of the rescue if I thought the kids would get out alive. All I could tell them was "prays for the boys and their coach". Beyond amazong that they got everyone out alive
Not only were you incredibly rude to be filming and talking during their religious ceremony but going into the youngest child's home and turning the whole thing around to YOU; "I was waiting outside for you for two weeks!"...🙄 Leave them alone and let them live the life that was saved.
I wish someone greats their coach. Without him encouraging and taking the best decisions after the surprising waters close their way back, may be other end would be it.
They are an inspiration & should tell their stories cuz we all can learn from them.. I complain about the smallest things here & when I think of them I am I am motivated
The government gave a very serious warning to the local media, not sure it would apply to foreign journalists. I believe the hospital staff also said, so much had been put into rescuing these boys and giving them care, they did not want all that risked by exposing them to media too soon. That said, I suppose this was done with permission of parents and if you were a struggling provincial family, the money being offered for interviews could be tempting. Hopefully a lot of it is put aside to help with any future needs and it does not continue.
I think the kids are still a bit confused about their experience. They were starved for days without fresh air, heavily sedated before being taken out. It wasn't even a month ago. But media and politicians - nothing at all surprises me.
These kids look bewildered and really uncomfortable with all this media attention. It is cringeworthy watching that loud and over exuberant reporter grab the boy suddenly in a misguided attempt at jocularity/familiarity and wave his finger seemingly aggressively in the boy's face. But evidently getting an exclusive interview is more important than respecting the child's privacy or any consideration of the children's mental health or psychological recovery
Missy I would suspect middlemen / "interpreters" have offered to set up interviews for the foreign reporters. That will be where the money is, quite possibly none is reaching the boys or their families who are too polite to tell the media to f-ck off and leave us alone
Tagra K. Hardly! Outrageous behaviour by an arrogant and selfish reporter who doesn't give a damn whether he harms these boys by traumatizing them or hampering their recovery. The worst example of an entitled foreigner who thinks rules, directives and reccommendations by psychiatrists, psychologists and Thai authorities don't apply to him
I was sure the boys & coach were advised to only spend time with family & close friends for about a month to rest & recuperate. All this interview questioning can be intrusive for the little one.
I'm curious did the coach get in trouble for taking the boys to the cave? I hope not. If that happened here in the USA that coach together with the boys school would be facing a deluge of lawsuit from the parents. So happy to see they were all rescued.
Total BS... He DIDN'T come out of the cave on his coaches back..Each of the kids parents HAD TO AGREE to their kid to be sedated and knocked when the divers were taking them out... The each were given a wet suit and full face diving masks and they were harnessed to the stomach side of the divers looking at them so they could monitor and make sure they were always breathing because it was the only way. Divers had to avoid hitting their mask so water couldn't get in. Parents were literally told either you agree to them being heavily sedated for the trip out or they stay until the end of monsoon season when the water recedes and they can walk out and they would have brought in supplies if that is what they choose but they couldn't guarantee survival with either choice because they could not know how much more water would go in and they were forced to sign waivers that the rescuers would not be responsible if something went wrong and also agreed to have them knocked out so they would not panic while diving out... So the boys definitely can't describe the point in time that they put the mask on until they were out of the cave because they were drugged... That's the only reason they can't describe it... To them they were inside the cave then woke up in a hospital bed... All of them...
Why are you still following the kids? They already have a press conference. Please leave them alone. Thailand government told the local and foreign journalists that they should leave these kids alone. Let them live a normal life and stop interviewing them
From what i understand is all the press has been asked to leave all the kids alone which I believe included this kid, Titan. Great report expect when you interviewed this kid.
Thany Jirarat - I didn't think it was a great report, rude to be filming and speaking in the temple during the ceremony (no way would he do that in a western country in a church) , intrusive and inappropriate to be filming the boy's home coming and exploitative and disrespectful to defy the directives of the Thai authorities and the psychiatrists and psychologists reccommendations. This reporter has no ethics and believes that rules and directives don't apply to him. Totally arrogant and disrespectful
you know now Thai media are jealous of James Longman for this report. but almost all Thai support him in his work. he's an apple of their eyes. some call him "Mr. Pineapple". 😘💖
omg wth I think they called him Mr. Pineapple because when he was so excited to see the pineapple field for the first time and he took a pic and posted in his ig account. He also excited to see some of the fan to cool them off in the rescue camp in pink color. He is very positive guy and not just only there to report the news, he also made friend with local people and of course he's cute. That's why they love him and called him Mr. Pineapple :-)
I think he is disgusting, arrogant, thinks that rules and directives don't apply to him because his need to get exclusive footage at the expense of the mental health of the boys is more important. Doesn't care whether he traumatises them or intrudes upon their privacy. Thinks because he is American he is allowed to do whatever he wants at the expense of the children's health. He may be pretty on the outside and easy to look at, but he is very ugly on the inside.
Vicara Vitakka -And how do you know he didn't ask any probing questions. Oh right, because he said so! Issuing that disclainer saying that he didn't ask probing questions is particularly manipulative. Obviously he was aware that what he was doing was unethical and wrong. So he issues this disclaimer so that his supporters will say "But it's OK, because he didn't ask any probing questions" Unless you were there you don't know what he asked. This report could be a heavily edited version of the questions he asked, he knew he'd be widely condemned if he broadcast questions that obviously crossed the line. But that doesn't mean he didn't ask them, possibly with the view of releasing the footage later. Also you don't know how bluntly or carelessly the interpreter put the questions to the boy. This was why the mental health experts advised against the media interviewing the boys to prevent blundering idiots re-traumatising the boys . Also it is the cummulative effect of the press attention/harrassment that is the issue. Who is to say that the shoulder grabbing, finger waggling foreigner is not going to appear in this boys nightmares down the track
I am not going to watch it. I don't know why Titan keeps being interviewed by US media. Maybe they don't understand what the doctor said at the press conference. Maybe the boy's father, who appears in all these videos actually invites them. Maybe a financial issue. But I just wish someone close to the kid will look out for the boy's best interests and put a stop to it.
You mean there are more? The worse thing that could happen is that the parents start to use the kids to gain financial income. These people are very poor, and might do things without giving proper thoughts. I hope the hospital is keeping a close watch on their mental development.
I wonder if it is middle men/interpreters who offered foreign journalists the opportunity to set up meetings with the boys and their families for a fee and then pressured the parents to agree. There may not be any money going to the boys or their parents. Titan and his Dad look really uncomfortable. It is cringeworthy watching this over exuberant reporter acting like a dick
All the Thai medias have been asked with understanding that they won't go to interview the children and the coach at homes. If anyone does, they have to ask a permission from the District Chief, not know why the international press could break the rules and this news are being a topic talk of the town at this moment. We all Thais understand that we should let them live their lives privately. Anyway, everyone thinks different but the rule is the rule that needed to be followed.
Then it is up to the moral values and ethics of a New Station and News Reporter to decide when to stop. Even if we cast aside the professional duties of a journalist, we as a human should respect their privacy. Even their classmates were advised not to ask them questions, let alone strangers.
Adul, the boy who love KFC get your wishes come true at last! KFC may appoint you as life time ambassador for them and unlimited supply of KFC for you to eat! LOL
Handsome on the outside, ugly on the inside. Doesn't give a damn about the children, their recovery or their mental health as long as he gets an exclusive interview. You can tell what sort of person he is by his disrespectful behaviour. Talking and filming in the temple during the Buddhist ceremony-the height of rudeness
James Clendon -I agree ABC and this reporter are so arrogant, they think that those requests and directives from psychologists and psychistrists don't apply to them. Obviously they think an exclusive interview is more important than the mental health or psychological recovery of these children. Just shows what ugly individuals they are in this network
June Jung -unethical reporter with no concern for the mental health and psychological recovery of these children. Followed this child and his family home after the press conference despite directives from Thai authorities and the psychologists and psychiatrists who requested that the media not approach the families for the first 30 days. This reporter obviously felt that rules and directives don't apply to him and that getting an exclusive interview was more important that the recovery of the children. He is a rude, selfish and entitled Westerner
pure truth63 I don't think that's true. Kids are resilient. Also, a young woman who's car plunged off a cliff in Northern California, survived 7 days stranded with broken bones. Never doubt a person's will to survive.
'Some/Many kids could not hav survived the ordeal' would hav been an appropriate words.... Lets not b racist...dis incident had taught us beautiful lesson, universal love n brotherhood, by the very fact that experienced people from different part of the world came together to save the boys putting their own life in risk...so lets respect n love everyone wherever they may be from...✌✌✌✌✌
I really hope ABC News did not...how shall I put it...offered any 'incentives' to the family of Titan for this interview. I quote Pink Floyd 'Leave them kids alone'.
Peter Sean -So wrong of this reporter to follow this child home from the press conference after Thai authorities and the psychologists and psychiatrists had issued directives and requested no interviews with the boys or their families for the next 30 days. This reporter has no ethics. He obviously feels that rules and directives don't apply to him. And getting an exclusive interview is more important than the mental health or psychological recovery of these boys. You can tell the character of this reporter from his rude and disrespectful behaviour. Disgusting
Ekkaphon Phaladorn -this reporter has no ethics and no respect for Thailand or these boys. He obviously doesn't care whether he traumatizes them or hampers their psychological recovery. He doesn't believe that rules or directives from Thai authorities or psychiatrists and psychologists apply to him. He wouldn't film and speak during a service in a Christian church in a Western country but thinks it's OK to do that in Thailand. He is obvioysly a selfish and disrespectful individual

Thank you for every body from Thailand 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼❤️❤️❤️🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭
Thanks James
Thank you James
Its too early for him to get interview. You should be concerned of his mental.
I wish someone greats their coach. Without him encouraging and taking the best decisions after the surprising waters close their way back, may be other end would be it.
ABC did very well on this rescue
Hope they have a happy life.
They are an inspiration & should tell their stories cuz we all can learn from them.. I complain about the smallest things here & when I think of them I am I am motivated
Thai Govt. insisted to leave those boys alone, why did your reporter broke that rule? For your own sensational news reporting? Come on!
Missy It should apply even to foreign journalists, we should respect their privacy. This reporter just want sensational reporting!
This kid really has the most beautiful smile🙂
All of you are welcome to Thailand any time.
GOOD JOBS. THANK YOU JAMES. FROM THAILAND
Tagra K.
Total hero
ABC should stop interfering with all the boys life.
Leave them alone.
มันเป็นปรากฏการณ์โลกนะคะ ภูมิใจมากค่ะ ที่อยู่ประเทศไทย
fuck you,
you understand her post
(google translate....hahaha)
Thai police not doing their job. Why are these reporters talking to them?
amazing! absolutely amazing!
wow. what a name Titan. i bet a lot of new baby boys will be named Titan. He has a hart of a Titan
Thank you
God bless the rescuers !!
Let them live a normal life and stop interviewing them
Leave them alone ! Y’all milk 🥛 anything y’all can
Amazing coach, keep the kudos alive without food for 10 days, respect.
Thanks for reporting this News watching with tear in my eyes very delightful
Welcome back home !! And enjoy with KFC!!
ninejack1 yeah XD
The kids are the heroes.
I love this boys... thank you god and to all who helf them ❤️❤️❤️
From what i understand is all the press has been asked to leave all the kids alone which I believe included this kid, Titan.
Dianne Lee, he's not American. And as he said, he held back from asking probing questions. That is pretty clear in this video.
Hannah Forsythe -I stand corrected, he is not American, he works for an American News Network
with the shameless plugging of KFC, the kid/s should at least receive royalties from the company!
LifeIsGreat best comment!
Could anyone know where can I wath the vdo of the other boy that James went to his home and talk to him and his mom?
WaenPloy Chen : They had Instagram, I follow to see their picture everyday, those boy are going to school and back in normal life now!
I hope the hospital is keeping a close watch on their mental development.
christiano choo Good thing that the Thai media is now slamming ABC for following the kid home. th-cam.com/video/tSk58nA44cY/w-d-xo.html
thanks for sharing. here's another report.
th-cam.com/video/ybCVPW9Nk8E/w-d-xo.html
Suzanne Stoffels -that's good to hear that ABC is being slammed. So arrogant and disrespectful
Totally, Trying to gain viewership is sick.
Then it is up to the moral values and ethics of a New Station and News Reporter to decide when to stop. Even if we cast aside the professional duties of a journalist, we as a human should respect their privacy. Even their classmates were advised not to ask them questions, let alone strangers.
Awesome reporter.
I hope they all get trust funds out of this, to pay for their future education.
To
Titan's smile is priceless
Handsome James. All most thai people love you and ABC news.
Peter Sean Maybe he is handsome on the outside (I don't think so) but he is ugly and selfish on the inside
Adul, the boy who love KFC get your wishes come true at last! KFC may appoint you as life time ambassador for them and unlimited supply of KFC for you to eat! LOL
Then he will be dead before old age. fried food is a big killer.
handsome reporter
Handsome reporter
David Koenig handsome reporter
Handsome on the outside, ugly on the inside. Doesn't give a damn about the children, their recovery or their mental health as long as he gets an exclusive interview. You can tell what sort of person he is by his disrespectful behaviour. Talking and filming in the temple during the Buddhist ceremony-the height of rudeness
Lovely boy
Now James seems to be a superstar in Thailand because of this mission too:)
Great how you're honoring the Thais' request for the media to leave the boys and their families alone for at least 30 days.
James Clendon -I agree ABC and this reporter are so arrogant, they think that those requests and directives from psychologists and psychistrists don't apply to them. Obviously they think an exclusive interview is more important than the mental health or psychological recovery of these children. Just shows what ugly individuals they are in this network
You should be ashamed to break the rules the people in Thailand gave to the press. This is cheapest journalism.
James, thanks for your good job.
All sedated he never knew how he got out.
The only thing curious about this rescue was the seeming unnecessary evasiveness as to how they got them out..
good reporter , so happy
June Jung -unethical reporter with no concern for the mental health and psychological recovery of these children. Followed this child and his family home after the press conference despite directives from Thai authorities and the psychologists and psychiatrists who requested that the media not approach the families for the first 30 days. This reporter obviously felt that rules and directives don't apply to him and that getting an exclusive interview was more important that the recovery of the children. He is a rude, selfish and entitled Westerner
No spoiled Western kid could have survived this ordeal. From the land of smile with incredible people.
pure truth63 .... shut up
Eileen LeValley
Why shut up? What do you know about southeast Asia?
pure truth63 I don't think that's true. Kids are resilient. Also, a young woman who's car plunged off a cliff in Northern California, survived 7 days stranded with broken bones. Never doubt a person's will to survive.
pure truth63
There’s a lot of idiots and spoiled brats but
I think they’ll survive
I won’t survive a day tho cause
Food is life and I am thankful
'Some/Many kids could not hav survived the ordeal' would hav been an appropriate words.... Lets not b racist...dis incident had taught us beautiful lesson, universal love n brotherhood, by the very fact that experienced people from different part of the world came together to save the boys putting their own life in risk...so lets respect n love everyone wherever they may be from...✌✌✌✌✌
Do not interview them ABC!! I hate you for doing it. How much did you bribe the parents ? Leave them alone!
Watched this tv I am so happy for coach families god bless them all heroes divers kids
I really hope ABC News did not...how shall I put it...offered any 'incentives' to the family of Titan for this interview. I quote Pink Floyd 'Leave them kids alone'.
I’m Thai. I think You did a good job.
Thanks alot James and ABC. news. I love you from Thailand. I always follow your chanel. Interesting news everytime. Thank you very much.
Disgusting
I love this your report.Thank from Thailand.
Such Beautiful boys. So happy for them. 13 rescued and today the sad news of 23 babies being massacred in a child care centre. May Buddha bless their souls and have them at peace. We are so saddened & heart broken for their families. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻❤️❤️❤️
Sehr schön 😍 👏🏻
They were sedated knocked out with ketamine. For the rescue. Great idea.
So whens the next game ?????
