I kinda dig the obi strip, when I picked up Tokyo Decadence I was delighted by its inclusion and will probably double dip on this movie since I already have the unearthed version. Great video!

Does the 88 films release have the same issue with the subtitles as the Unearthed blu ray? Subs were noticably out of sync in a number of scenes on the US release.
Not that I noticed, but they always add new subs anyway :)

Do you just stick the disc on for 5 minutes to check out the transfer? You definitely didn’t watch the Unearthed Disc of EDT from start to finish or you would have realised there was a major issue with that release whereby the subtitles were drastically out of sync in later scenes.
I definitely didn't watch it the whole way through this time, but I did when I first purchased it. I don't remember any problems, but then again I've watched hundreds since. Must check it out thanks!
is the transfer the same as the unearthed version?
I don't think so - although I felt it was slightly better. Hard to tell any major differences :S

Pass. Not a fan of what they are doing with the Obi Strip instead of a slip.
Yeah, I would have preferred the slip :)
