You need to watch Rebels to understand and to connect more with this story. And Ahsoka is not dead, apparently she is in the World Between Worlds, a "dimension" out of time and space, where you can see past and future. It was introduce in Rebels, too.
I'll remind the dad, when you saw A New Hope for the first time, you knew nothing about The Emperor, Darth Vader, The Force, Hyperspace. The internet, critics and TH-camrs are saying you need to watch Rebels and Clone Wars to know what's happening but that's not true. The same can be said for Game of Thrones. I didn't read the books before I watched the show and still enjoyed it. It's all about story and so far, it's really not that bad. I'm glad you're watching with your kids and I hope they are getting a positive message from this show. Hopefully they can see themselves being Jedi or Mandalorians or both. If they didn't understand Yoda's explanation of the force (which so many forgot), Hopefully Ahsoka's explanation makes sense. We all have the force, if we study, focus, and train then we call gain those skills. Yes, some are stronger in the force than others but that shouldn't stop you from trying. The message reminds me of what we tell kids in the real world. Study and work hard and you'll be successful. You can be whatever you want. Do. Or do not. There is no try.
Was not bad this episode 4, but it's still a rehash. There is still the Vader clone, Tarkin Clone.... There is still plenty of lightsaber dancing (less than the PT, thank the Lord). PLENTY of Mary Sue's

Yes! Now I remember, its been 20 years or so since I watched that show. Hopefully they explain it in the next episode (they will) for the casual fan.
20 years? for a show that premiered 9 years ago? cmon man, if you're gonna hate on something at least try to get the facts right.
Has it only been 9.. man I am getting old. #genxthings@@randomaussie8498
the face is supposed to look glossy and amplified in the World between Worlds, like they did in Rebels.
Star Wars education is important. It’s not for dummies.

How I felt about this reaction? S.I.G.H.

"Females characters know how to fight, my immersion is ruined! ree!"
So any female character is basically a Mary Sue? Bro if you hate women just say it.
