he was my childhood hero. I'm so happy for him when he defeated the lung cancer the first time, but then lost his life from reoccurance. I'm not lying I'm so sad, and was in the middle of watching xros wars at that time.
The original artist for the intros, specifically "Butter-fly", Koji Wada, passed away in 2016 and they dedicated a literal god level digimon Hudiemon, a butterfly angel to immortalize him into the series in the game Cyber Sleuth - Hacker's Memory.
Good to be here. Thanks for having me. I figured the JP versions would be better since anime OG intros are typically better than the English versions, but wow.
@@ReactZones Please watch Tamers. It's definitely a slower burn show than Adventure and 02, but the Head Writer has some serious credentials in the Pychological Thriller genre, having written things like Serial Experiments Lain and Hellsing. He also was the Writter behind the "Dark Ocean" episodes in 02. You are in for a treat story wise with Tamers. :)
YES a Tamers Reaction would be amazing... one of the best Digimon Series. And yes Savers/Data Squad was pretty good, I liked it. Digimon Universe in English was just called Appmon and from what I remember was kinda divisive but has become a bit more accepted over time... Ghost Game was very much the same.
Thank god we did the same in Mexico, I hate the di di di digimon they reuse for all US intros, but the worst offender of all is that card captors og english intro, where is my catch you catch me US?, where is my catch you catch me!!!!???
Also, if you think the Japanese openings are great, listen to the Japanese music they used for Digivolving. You'll never want to listen to the dub music again.
Digimon Ghost Game is absolutely darker, no spoilers but episode 1 sets the tone perfectly for the series Its like taking all the dark pokedex entries and just making a series around exploring those aspects of the pokemon world but for Digimon, Its great
@@ReactZones its not only evil digimon, even some digimon that are nicer have a darker twist to them because they're monsters at the end of the day, but also influenced by the humanity around them, the same way the kids used to influence their partner digimon, the digimon coming to the real world is also subtly changing them too because of how many humans are around them
@@ReactZonesbasically (not a spoiler but an example) imagine a digimon that likes digi-honey coming to the real world and takes the sap from a real tree, only to become obsessed with doing it, killing every tree around them and destroying the ecosystem. That's ghost game in a nutshell
I'm Brazilian, and I'm really glad that here we've got only the first opening in the American model, all the others were translated adaptations of the Japanese ops, and boy they're BANGERS.
as I got older I grew to appreciate Joe, someone in the group needed to be there to remind the others they're kids and can't do everything, but also his level head in situations really helped when the kids got into fights like when he stayed behind to protect Mimi when the group was debating whether to keep moving forward or stay put and get help
@@SBaby everytime I read these type of comments I wonder what the hell did the US dub studios to a lot of animes. I find it actually incredible to see that a lot of US fans have way too different interpretation of older animes.
@@laiofurious6433 In the Japanese version Joe is a character that is both trying to be the adult in the situation, but at the same time he gets severe anxiety whenever he's pulled out of a normal routine. This is why the other characters decide to make him the leader during the Bakemon episode. They're trying to build up his confidence and alleviate that (Seriously Sonic X, why couldn't you just do THIS with your human characters; Digimon did it so perfectly). There are other things that are different. Like for instance, the Japanese version isn't as concerned with saying the word 'death'. Also the episode where they hitch a ride from Sora's 'cousin', nope. In the Japanese version, he's just a random guy they hitch a ride from. Which causes that whole exchange to make way more sense. They censored that because they didn't want to portray our heroes as hitchhikers. Then of course there's all of the music that was changed. If you think the Japanese openings are better than the dub openings, you should go and listen to the Japanese music they use for digivolving. You'll never want to hear the dub music again, guaranteed.
Ghost game never gotten a 2nd opening despite going on long enough for one but they did change the animations in the opening around the end for the latter episodes to add in their further evolutions
Xros Wars main feature is the Digixross fusions, but the 2nd opening starts where the mc and rival's main digimon (Shoutmon and Metalgreymon who was a digixross of Greymon and Mailbirdramon) evolves into Omegashoutmon and Zekegreymon which was considered rare occurence in xros wars entirety. the 3rd season (hunters) has moved beyond the original plot of xros wars and approaching the real world a lot more.
To awnser your question yes Marcus punches digimon to activate his DNA charge to evolve Agumon Data Squad is a darker series, Digimon genocide and alot of other shit
Appmon is probably what I considered to be the best Digimon season. It is even higher than Tamers due to… how it plots out character motivations with their partners early on and how they can fulfill them. Also the villain is probably the most insidious and probably realistic outcome for humanity… so yeah, even though it doesn’t have a dub, watch it!
in Applimonster they weren't exactly called Digimon, but rather Appmon (derived from smartphone app functions) and hence the title Digimon Universe as a sub variant of it.
I would love to see a reaction to Tamers. I personally prefer the English dub as it gives the characters more personality and the Japanese dialogue can get a bit repetitive. My second recommendation would be Ghost Game. It's like a digimon themed Scooby Doo series, with the heroes investigating strange goings on and often having to come up with creative solutions to stop the digimon responsible.
@@ReactZones The Burst Mode evolution theme music in the Japanese version of Savers is the best evolution music in all of Digimon outside of a distant second from the Ancient Spirit Evolution theme in the English version.
I personally love the remake of Digimon Adventure, the one from 2020. It created a retell of the events in such creative way and let's not forget how they develop each digidestined and their relationship with their respective digimon. Not to mention that... they actually make all the eight Digimon reach their Mega level... while also giving alternative digievolution to some of them.
I dont know, early one it felt like that Tai and Agumon show, original Adventure split every up so they'd have their own character focused episodes as well as groups you wouldnt expect like Joe and Matt, TK and Tai, Mimi and Izzy, Joe and TK, and they felt like friends because of that, everyone grew to rely on each other because they each went through trials along side eachother
@@sdbzfan1 I am not saying the original was bad. In fact, the original series is always the best one. I grew up with it and I always use it as a reference when judging the other Digimon series. I am only saying I love the 2020 remake. Yeah, the show started focused on Tai and Agumon... but they are the main charaters, right? But slow and steady, all the digidestined and their digimon were incorporated, having their time to shine and develop. And the digidestined also divide between themselves in smaller groups at some point. Not to mention all the references...
Digimon Universe is actually just a prefix, with the title "Applimonsters" (or Appmon) being the title. All the creatures there aren't technically Digimon, but a different species called Appmon (and this might be why none of them have ever appeared in any Digimon games, or at least that I'm aware of). It's a Digimon-adjacent spin-off with the premise being basically what if instead of computer programs, these creatures originated as mobile apps. I mean, at the end of the day, it's still Digimon, just by another name, and it's still pretty good, but it was also an attempt to really shake things up.
3:40 tamers is considered one of, if not THE, best shows in the franchise. if you wanted to react to any digimon show you can't go wrong with tamers 10:36 that was shoutmon x7, shoutmon and 6 other digimon combined together 18:20 kinda sorta? it certainly has a spooky vibe, and likes to keep hinting a bigger mystery. the problem is it outright refuses to engage with anything it sets up until the last few episodes
You should really check out the other series... especially Digimon Tamers. That one really gets dark as it reaches its climax. That is because, after Digimon 02, each Digimon series reinvents itself, giving a new lore and Digimon to explore. Digimon Tamers was the first to set itself apart from its predecessors and created a great concept and dwelled in many sensitive topics, like grief, depression and obsession. And I got so happy that you noticed Leomon, because... Well, let's just say that will hit you hard on the feals.
When I was little my parents always trick me so that I would wake up early and not be late to school by playing Digimon DVD making me think that day was Sunday and it always work
19:55 The Appmons (the digimons in Digimon Universe: Appli Monsters) are based around phone apps. The main character's appmon is based on a search app (that's why he looks like a miner). Appmons are capable of "applink", meaning that one Appmon can lend its power to another. Certain pairs of Appmon, when they make an applink, fuse together and gain a new form (AppFusion) which is how they evolve this season.
I'm glad my country used the japanese version rather than the english versions. I just prefer these so much more (Savers' second opening and Xros Wars' second and third openings are my faves though really, they're all bangers.)
Appsmon is on another world, but still on Digimon universe. React to episode 45 when Agumon cameo is connect this series to Digimon universe, that is the best episode.
HOnestly if you would ever do a tamers reaction i think it would be really cool! its a very good series thats seen by many to be the BEST digimon season. It also introduces one of the Seven Digisins the digimon you wanna see Bealzabubmon of Gluttony
just gonna say this right now Gulimon in the japanese version is Goku's VA, If that has any influence on what version you watch, i think the japanese version is better personally with far better evolution songs which every japanese digimon had a banger of.
@@ReactZones oh well you should at least check out the evolutions of each series from the japanese versions, the songs are bangers. Savers is my personal favorite but Tamers is also really good, Ghost Games is a very close 3rd for me.
For me my top two fav Digimon song intros are the Japanese Digimon Tamers: Biggest dreamer and English Digimon Frontier: A world for us all. Also sadly the final Digimon that was available in America with English dub was Digimon fusion part two xcross wars everything else lost too much popularity and moved into Japanese only as Pokemon was more popular in America over Digimon
People can say what they want about the first 5 seasons openings being nostalgic, but no one can argue that Xros Wars JP openings are way better than the english
My personal favorite protagonist digimon of each season: 01 Gabumon 02 Ankylomon Tamers: Gargomon Frontier: MagnaGarurumon Data squad: BanchoLeomon Xros wars: Dorulumon Hunters: Arrestradramon Universe: Shutmon Ghost game: Angoramon Leomon is a close 2nd in all of the seasons he appears in
Perfect Timing to search for a Reaction like this Just 1 Day old If you react to the Shows: I will absolutely watch it Also absolutely watch in Japanese. The American Dub messed so much up My Luck was I'm from Germany. The Dubs are directly based on the japanese Version and much more accurate. (We only had the Movie and Cross Wars over the American Version)
Fun Fact: Most of the Digimon openings and songs were sung by the late Koji Wada, who is famously know for his talented, moving, and action thrilled singing in every Digimon anime. Sadly, he passed away in 2022. His memories will lived on in all his work. RIP Koji Wada.
If you’re trying to get back into Digimon Start with Savers! Because it has one of the best plots in all of Digimon imo. The first half of the season is pretty good but it gets even better with the second half with the news evolutions and main antagonists.
I'm down for watching a reaction, both for Digimon and Yugioh... As long as they are JP Dub with English subs, I can't force myself to watch them with English dubs XD IMO Xros Wars is the best digimon show, followed by Tamers and Savers. But there's so many digimons in Xros Wars that appear in other series, you really need to watch them to have the full hype, so I'd recommend to start with Tamers and go from there.
Personally, Tamers probably has the best dub of the classic series Guilmon is voiced by Steve Blum (heatblast, vilgax and ghostfreak from ben 10) and is one of the reasons why guilmon is my favourite digimon line
If you're gonna watch Tamers watch it on Japanese, trust me, this is the best Digimon Season, its so nuch worth it! ❤ I'd love to see your reaction! Savers as a season its the one that adapts Digimon concepts more accurate to the lore of the franchise, its also a must watch in japanese. Now that you mention that the Digimon in Frontier looks similar to the Adventure, there used to be a theory back in the day that Frontier was an Adventure prequel, an another reason that theory was so popular its because the english version changed the names of all the Digimon of this seasons from the japanese version to names similar to the adventure season, just because theyve looked similar, another reason of why i prefer to watch digimon in the original language, english version changed names constantly and that creates a chaos on the lore (the TCG had trouble because the English version needs to remind people that digimon types from Frontier doesnt belong in the traits from de Adventure ones)
It's always funny to watch these reactions and see people get to Mervamon. Toei is actually infamous for not replacing the openings of their shows nearly as often as the other companies. While anime by other studios usually change their opening after 12~13 episodes (which is a period of 3 month and the size of most seasonal anime), Toei won't replace their openings for 30, sometimes 50+ episodes, probably to save a few more bucks. There was a period of time where a lot of their shows didn't even have ending themes. Savers was ironically one of the shorter seasons.
In digimom universe the main character digimon is browser app, and the pink hair girl digimon is punch game app, the yellow hair boy digimom is music app, the black hair guy digimon is hack app, and the last guy is offline game app, the evolution is fusion like the main character the fusion to evolve is browser + maps
Xros Wars is great, a lot of people pass on it because of the theme of the show, unlike previous Digimon Seasons where kids get traped in another world and have to find a way home or deal with a great evil along side a digimon partner, with evolution being both a plot point and a sign of literal character development, Xros Was is as the name implies a War in the Digital World is going on, now whether to watch in English or Japanese is up to you, I prefer the show in Japanese because of the sound track and lack of random jokes inserted for the english audience, the old series did this at times but it wasnt as constant as in Xros Wars english Dub called Digimon Fusion, so yea if you want the proper tone of the series its better in japanese, also when Moments hit, they hit super hard thanks to that JP soundtrack my god its so good
Keep in mind that season 3 of Xros Wars was never dubbed, so if you plan on watching all 3 seasons of it, the Japanese version is the way to go for VA consistency.
A few points for Savers: 1 Marcus punches Digimon to activate his 'DNA Charge' which is used to digivolve his agumon. He's the only one with this requirement, the others can call it up at will. He is a street fighter who basically gets drafted into DATS, the Digital Accidents Tactical Squad or something to that effect. This is all ep 1 stuff, so I wouldn't call it spoilers. 2. Yes, commander Sampson is kind of bad ass when he isn't being the rules and regs stick in the mud. 3. I never finished it, but from what I remember, the second half takes a much darker turn, though the season in general is a bit of a darker one if you pay attention to the background info. 4. The greymon is called Geogreymon and is described as 'A more aggressive member of the greymon family'. The rest of his line is different moving up as well.
So, ghost game. Super episodic, so there is not continual story from episode to episode, but it's called fun monster of the week watch. Each episode is effectively a kid-friendly horror story, usually inspired by Japanese Yokai. The white Digimon is named Gammamon, Gamma like light. He has three champions, each color codes to a type of light, Red, Green, and Blue, or RGB. Super fun, I liked it. It takes place almost exclusively in the real world (kind of), and was basically an advertisement for the Digimon Vital Bracelet, as that is their digivices.
Before tamers If you remember adventure and 02 you should definitely react to the last two movies, they are set in the adventure continuity and they are direct sequels. Digimon adventure Last Evolution Kizuna Digimon Adventure 02 The Beginning. About tamer, please watch it subbed and not dubbed
Great that you enjoyed the intros, in regards to the shows asked: Savers (Data Squad) is a decent show but many fans were uncertain due to the slightly older cast, Xros Wars Season 3 has a lot of returning cast because it was a big anniversary (whether it's a good season or not fans have never reached a conclusion), Appli Monsters was an attempt to make spin offs that so far has beared fruit yet however it's of the best writing the franchise has produced... sadly pulled back by too much filler but otherwise it's in my top 3
You should ABSOLUTELY check out Tamers. It's, in my opinion, the best season and the writer has a great track record. As for Ghost Game, it's got a darker vibe and a horror theme. It's very episodic, with the occasional plot scattered along the monster of the weeks. Ending kinda isn't all that great, but that's like 5 episodes verses 60 absolute bangers. If you want some spooky stuff (which will be pretty appropriate with Halloween approaching), then I can recommend Ghost Game. Especially since it has two halloween specials for it's YEAR LONG run.
I started watching Digmon over a year ago now, currently in 2020 reboot. Tamers is one of the best, Rika is the greatest characters ever. Tied with Velvet from RWBY. Hunter who leapt through time arc, title was inspired from the movie "The Girl who leapt through time", and never got English. I want it dubbed, Melissa Fahn who voiced one character from each show starting with Rika in Tamers. Universe never got English release. I've seen upto 25 episodes in 2020 Reboot of 67 plus 1 special and Ghost game has equal as many episodes. All other shows have range of 50, but Fusion/Xros wars is the longest of all at 78. All shows after Adventures 1 and 2 are their own universe.
Oh dang, welcome to Digimon. And I do enjoy the JP versions more than the English ops. I grew up with the english openings but I like the Japanese ones more. A month I watched the last movie of the original adventure universe (Digimon Adventure 02: The Beginning), it was nice having the 02 gang get their own movie as we all needed it. Tamers gets dark later on. I binged this one about 10 times in 1 year. Frontiers is creative & a great show. Savers/Data Squad is an awesome one with a human able to punch & hurt digimon. If you plan on watching tri and recent digimon movies, go ahead and rewatch the OG & 02 seasons to recap.
I don't want to rewatch the OGs again. I don't have time for that. I'd rather just jump into the sequels for those. I'll be checking out Tamers before any of that, though.
Im so glad I grew up watching the Latin American spanish versions of digimon, we kept all the Japanese tunes just translated or reintrepreted in spanish, cannot believe the US missed on Butterfly and freaking brave heart (this one we kept the same)
Following up from the previous video, my favourite humans and digimon from each series. Adventure: Kari and Angewomon Adventure 02: Kari and BlackWarGreymon Tamers: Rika and Megidramon Frontier: Kouichi/Duskmon Savers (where I watched the sub first): Masaru and Kudamon Fusion/Xross Wars onward: I kinda fell off watching Digimon here. I might go back and watch them someday.
Gotta understand that back when Digimon first came out outside of Japanese, it was pretty much tradition for shows meant for little kids to have a lot of music dubbed into english, usually resulting in entirely new music being created. A good example of this was Sailor Moon, which had all new music created for it and while i definitely wouldn''t say they were better than the original songs, they were great in their own right for what the show was
Tamers and Ghost game are way darker than the others seasons. Meanwhile Ghost game has more messed up and unsettling scenes because was conceived as a horror inspired series. But Tamers is better in storytelling, and also has some disturbing and nightmare fuel scenes. If you want to see Tamers, you should watch it in japanese with english sub, the dub has censorship and change most of the dialogues.
Digimon Xros wars, or fusion as the dub is called, can be summed up as this. The bad guys broke the digital world, and our hero Taiki, or Mikey in the dub, ends up getting pulled over there, which means he ends up trying to fix the world, by helping new friends, and fighting the bad guys. The reason the second opening is a bit more mellow, is that the big bad guy just got a big win against the heroes, which changed the digital world, which I guess could be a in-universe reason why, they got a new opening. I have never watched the third part of Xros wars, so I can't really say anything about that one, but until I get to that one, I'm gonna see it as a 'what if', like with Dragon ball GT, you can see it, but the main story could also be seen as over before that point.
As someone who has seen the third part. It's worth watching every show prior to Fusion/Xros wars. I had my mind BLOWN half way through and in the final battle.
@@frederiog AnimeHub is an option?, but BE WARNED, porn pops up! Episode 13 of phase three is broken, but Dailymotion has it. I will not provide a link for those who are too innocent or young to be exposed.
I really recommend watching Digimon Universe Appli Monsters, probably my personal top 5, this show is really underrated, people hated it just because its trying to be different, the characters are so much fun, and the story by the end is really heart warming, so please dont skip this gem (also Haru is my third favourite protagonist right after Taiki and Taichi)
Tamers was the ending I wish they stuck with. Amazing story, emotional ending. Recommend that...then digimon tri...there's even a card game now for it by bandai
In my opinion the English Digimon frontier opening is way better than the Japanese one. But you should totally check out Digimon tamers and Digimon frontier.
I'd be down for a jump into Tamers again. It's probably one of the best of the Digimon shows. Never been to big into Frontier or Savers myself. Xros Wars sadly never got to the best part in the dub with the 3rd season. And honestly it's just near the end of the series. Never watched Applimonsters myself. Adventure 2020..... it devolves into the Tai and Agumon and friends show to the point they have to shove Tai and Agumon into every episode and steal the focus from the others. It has some awesome moments, but I got annoyed near the end when they are trying to have focus episodes on the other kids and Tai and Agumon just show up to help save the day everytime stealing the thunder from the others. Ghost Game... So it's a show where the Digimon become the stuff of urban legends. They come into the real world and their shenanigans are often creating trouble for people who don't know they are even there most of the time as most still don't fully manifest in the real world. And it goes weird and sometimes super dark. Previous series delved into some dark topics but honestly I'd be surprised if Ghost Game ever got picked up for a dub on TV. Maybe streaming, but there are things that would definitely give some kids nightmares. Though it also has fun bringing back previous Digimon into new roles or ideas we hadn't seen before. As far as the Adventure continuation movies like the Tri series, Last Evolution Kizuna, and 02: The Beginning.... They are interesting in the fact we get to see the kids grow up and how being a Digidestined affects their lives, but honestly to me outside of the cool new evolution moments, they kinda suck the fun out of the series. Overly dramatic, and Digimon is serious business kinda vibes.
In my opinion, there isn't a single bad digimon anime per say, it's all either decent or great, you should really check all of them out. Tamers has a great storyline, Frontiers is very unique, Savers is really underrated, and Xros Wars has amazing quality, they're all great and worth a watch
For me Digimon Xros Wars got that little Pokemon anime vibes, because of how many Digimon they have, unlike their other series that just have 1 partner Digimon, but Xros Wars is really fun and their characters development are amazing
This is everyone's reminder that Frontier would have been wildly popular if it didn't come right after Tamers. Which, technically, is kid-friendly horror.

@@ReactZones to be more precise about Digimon censorship, Im not talking just about blood or some female digimon, Im also talking dialogues and plot points. For example, if in the japanese version a character says something deep and with a lot of meaning behind it, the English version changes it to "You smell like Tofu because I just sliced you".
@@ReactZones Maybe its a lil more accurate than the rest , but not a single one is accurate to the source material as it deserves, music is changed, plot changes, a lot of heavy messages are literally dumbed down, and thats just the tip of the icerberg, it happens in all the dubs of digimon. The English dubs for this series are just not good. Which contributed to Digimon in the end not sticking as much as Pokemon in the English speaking countries. I know there are other countries that did correct dubs without censoring anything and it made Digimon in those countries have more fans and last more, just because the stories were maintained intact.
My favorite Digimon seasons in order are: Tamers > Adventure > Savers/Data Squad > Adventure 02 > Frontier (I do like the Super Sentai/Power Rangers style of it and as someone who prefers Digimon in Japanese, I also like its English Op Theme) > Xros Wars/Fusion 1&2 > Xros Wars/Fusion 3. I only saw like 6 or 7 episodes of Digimon Universe: Appli Monsters but I remember not liking it (my least favorite from what I seen) and I seen only like half or less than half of Digimon Adventure: (reboot) and did enjoy that quite a bit but I forgot to keep myself up-to-date on it. I'll put that above Adventure 02 for now. Also enjoyed the Digimon Adventure tri. film series even though some didn't like it. Haven't seen Digimon: Ghost Files.
Digimon Savers/Data Squad is my current favorite as a teenager nostalgic series. The dub one ups the sub for its score and acting in certain climaxes. Trust me, want it dubbed for the most epic of brawls with Marcus Daimon and Agumon.

Hi first time watcher to your channel and I have to tell you I was born in South America and the openings there are hymns of your childhood, they were sooo good that I who just turned 30 still sing them from time to time. When I came to the United States I was hugely disappointed by the English openings, and after comparing the Japanese openings, I realized that the Japanese versions were faithfully translated and tried to fit with the Spanish openings and here in the United States if they had the chance to be raised with the same songs there might have been a huge shift in the debate of digimon v Pokémon

Digimon Universe in English was just called Appmon and from what I remember was kinda divisive but has become a bit more accepted over time... Ghost Game was very much the same.
I'm still waiting the Appmon to appear in the TCG, I want a Gatchmon deck :'v
So in the German Version, they Adapted the Japanese Intros in German language and its absolutely beautiful!
Greeting from Swizzerland
Thank god we did the same in Mexico, I hate the di di di digimon they reuse for all US intros, but the worst offender of all is that card captors og english intro, where is my catch you catch me US?, where is my catch you catch me!!!!???
Also, if you think the Japanese openings are great, listen to the Japanese music they used for Digivolving. You'll never want to listen to the dub music again.
Digimon Ghost Game is absolutely darker, no spoilers but episode 1 sets the tone perfectly for the series
Its like taking all the dark pokedex entries and just making a series around exploring those aspects of the pokemon world but for Digimon,
Its great
That's amazing. So, it's a lot of the darker entry Digimon? That's definitely intriguing.
@@ReactZones its not only evil digimon, even some digimon that are nicer have a darker twist to them because they're monsters at the end of the day, but also influenced by the humanity around them, the same way the kids used to influence their partner digimon, the digimon coming to the real world is also subtly changing them too because of how many humans are around them
Oh yeah. I didnt think they were all evil. Plenty of Pokémon with dark entries that are nice. ;) @sdbzfan1
And we see actually people die on screen every now and then
@@ReactZonesbasically (not a spoiler but an example) imagine a digimon that likes digi-honey coming to the real world and takes the sap from a real tree, only to become obsessed with doing it, killing every tree around them and destroying the ecosystem.
That's ghost game in a nutshell
I'm Brazilian, and I'm really glad that here we've got only the first opening in the American model, all the others were translated adaptations of the Japanese ops, and boy they're BANGERS.
Quero ser o maior de todos, o lendário sonhador!
No presente, no futuro, indo aonde for!
Reactions to Digimon Tamers would be wicked and sick, a phenomenal series in general that deserves more love
as I got older I grew to appreciate Joe, someone in the group needed to be there to remind the others they're kids and can't do everything, but also his level head in situations really helped when the kids got into fights like when he stayed behind to protect Mimi when the group was debating whether to keep moving forward or stay put and get help
Joe is actually a little better in the Japanese version, because it's clear that he's trying to be the adult in the situation since he's the oldest.
Im so glad that here in latín América they actually did spanish versions of this songs, and here are iconic
Ghost game never gotten a 2nd opening despite going on long enough for one but they did change the animations in the opening around the end for the latter episodes to add in their further evolutions
It's got 6 endings tho.
And they're all underrated imo
Xros Wars main feature is the Digixross fusions, but the 2nd opening starts where the mc and rival's main digimon (Shoutmon and Metalgreymon who was a digixross of Greymon and Mailbirdramon) evolves into Omegashoutmon and Zekegreymon which was considered rare occurence in xros wars entirety. the 3rd season (hunters) has moved beyond the original plot of xros wars and approaching the real world a lot more.
To awnser your question yes Marcus punches digimon to activate his DNA charge to evolve Agumon
Data Squad is a darker series, Digimon genocide and alot of other shit
Marcus is awesome
The man legit punched the final boss to death
Savers was awesome, and so is marcus
@@BlueBlazeKing he punched god
Data squad show matter who your, everyone get punch cuz these hand rate E for everyone.
God Tamers intro is one of the best anime intros ever.
Appmon is probably what I considered to be the best Digimon season. It is even higher than Tamers due to… how it plots out character motivations with their partners early on and how they can fulfill them. Also the villain is probably the most insidious and probably realistic outcome for humanity… so yeah, even though it doesn’t have a dub, watch it!
its so underrated
in Applimonster they weren't exactly called Digimon, but rather Appmon (derived from smartphone app functions) and hence the title Digimon Universe as a sub variant of it.
Savers is sooo good it gets so much better in the second half
I might as well react to every series.
Rip wada Koji his voice kept digimon on his back
Digimon Universe is actually just a prefix, with the title "Applimonsters" (or Appmon) being the title.
The Frontier opening for the Dub is great and I will not tolerate slander.
You must have misheard what I said.
tbh the only opening they seem to put effort and time in. definitely the only good one among the eng openings.
Facts
3:40 tamers is considered one of, if not THE, best shows in the franchise. if you wanted to react to any digimon show you can't go wrong with tamers
10:36 that was shoutmon x7, shoutmon and 6 other digimon combined together
18:20 kinda sorta? it certainly has a spooky vibe, and likes to keep hinting a bigger mystery. the problem is it outright refuses to engage with anything it sets up until the last few episodes
I'll be starting Tamers sometime soon.
@@ReactZones i hope you enjoy it, just make sure to pace yourself
Ty. 🙏
If you solely reason is to watch Tamers for Beelzemon totally acceptable, because Beelzemon also my favourite

Thanks for subbing! Coming in the next few weeks if everything goes well. So, the near future.
The greymon 8n data sqoud/ saveds is geo greymon it evolves into shine greymon
Its a ofbranch evelution line for argumon
So glad that germany (where I live) kept the original intros and just translated the lyrics
Definitely check out Digimon Tamers, by far the most adult and dark version of any of the Digimon shows
just gonna say this right now Gulimon in the japanese version is Goku's VA, If that has any influence on what version you watch, i think the japanese version is better personally with far better evolution songs which every japanese digimon had a banger of.
That's amazing. I'll be sticking with the English dub, probably.
@@ReactZones oh well you should at least check out the evolutions of each series from the japanese versions, the songs are bangers. Savers is my personal favorite but Tamers is also really good, Ghost Games is a very close 3rd for me.
@ReactZones Steve Blum voices guilmon and we live him
For me my top two fav Digimon song intros are the Japanese Digimon Tamers: Biggest dreamer and English Digimon Frontier: A world for us all. Also sadly the final Digimon that was available in America with English dub was Digimon fusion part two xcross wars everything else lost too much popularity and moved into Japanese only as Pokemon was more popular in America over Digimon
My favorite from Adventure is MegaKabuterimon, i loved beetles when i was a child
People can say what they want about the first 5 seasons openings being nostalgic, but no one can argue that Xros Wars JP openings are way better than the english
My personal favorite protagonist digimon of each season:
01 Gabumon
02 Ankylomon
Tamers: Gargomon
Frontier: MagnaGarurumon
Data squad: BanchoLeomon
Xros wars: Dorulumon
Hunters: Arrestradramon
Universe: Shutmon
Ghost game: Angoramon
Leomon is a close 2nd in all of the seasons he appears in

Also absolutely watch in Japanese. The American Dub messed so much up
My Luck was I'm from Germany. The Dubs are directly based on the japanese Version and much more accurate. (We only had the Movie and Cross Wars over the American Version)
Would love to see you react to ghost game
Personally, Tamers probably has the best dub of the classic series
Guilmon is voiced by Steve Blum (heatblast, vilgax and ghostfreak from ben 10) and is one of the reasons why guilmon is my favourite digimon line
I'd say outside of the original Adventure
Must watches would be
#1. Tamers
#2. Appmon
#3. Savers
You should also look up the digivolution music
I started Tamers on Patreon. ;) Once I get a nice lead there, it'll start releasing here.
Savers is good
very good
So underrated
I'll keep that in mind.
You can see the evolution themes, they are really popular, I get goosebumps just looking at them!
Yes i would love Digimon reactions from you.

I love the Japanese openings so much. Kouji Wada is deeply missed.
Xros Wars is great, a lot of people pass on it because of the theme of the show, unlike previous Digimon Seasons where kids get traped in another world and have to find a way home or deal with a great evil along side a digimon partner, with evolution being both a plot point and a sign of literal character development, Xros Was is as the name implies a War in the Digital World is going on, now whether to watch in English or Japanese is up to you, I prefer the show in Japanese because of the sound track and lack of random jokes inserted for the english audience, the old series did this at times but it wasnt as constant as in Xros Wars english Dub called Digimon Fusion, so yea if you want the proper tone of the series its better in japanese, also when Moments hit, they hit super hard thanks to that JP soundtrack my god its so good
Keep in mind that season 3 of Xros Wars was never dubbed, so if you plan on watching all 3 seasons of it, the Japanese version is the way to go for VA consistency.
yep
A few points for Savers:
1 Marcus punches Digimon to activate his 'DNA Charge' which is used to digivolve his agumon.
Digimon adventure Last Evolution Kizuna
Digimon Adventure 02 The Beginning.
About tamer, please watch it subbed and not dubbed
Yeah, but before watching Last Kizuna he should watch TRI first.
All shows after Adventures 1 and 2 are their own universe.
i always liked the german openings for these
Butterly is always the the goat

Adventure: Kari and Angewomon
Adventure 02: Kari and BlackWarGreymon
Tamers: Rika and Megidramon
Frontier: Kouichi/Duskmon
Savers (where I watched the sub first): Masaru and Kudamon
Fusion/Xross Wars onward: I kinda fell off watching Digimon here. I might go back and watch them someday.
BlackWarGreymon was so baddass when I was kid. Great choice.
You have to watch Tamers, best season ever! Also Xros Wars, is in my top 3. Great video!
Xros Wars is one of my favorite Digimon series, and well worth a watch. Honestly, there's no Digimon series that I'd call truly bad.
you should really check out tamers, its a nice tone shift from the first two seasons and the storylines are great
Digimon OP hits hard 😂

Digimon 1 - Gomamon
Digimon 2 - Stingmon
Tamers - Impmon
@@RhysGamingPro Then maybe you can tell me, where I can go see all three parts?

I really recommend watching Digimon Universe Appli Monsters, probably my personal top 5, this show is really underrated, people hated it just because its trying to be different, the characters are so much fun, and the story by the end is really heart warming, so please dont skip this gem (also Haru is my third favourite protagonist right after Taiki and Taichi)
Tamers was the ending I wish they stuck with. Amazing story, emotional ending. Recommend that...then digimon tri...there's even a card game now for it by bandai
Oh I would absolutely love a tamers reaction
In my opinion the English Digimon frontier opening is way better than the Japanese one. But you should totally check out Digimon tamers and Digimon frontier.
I have agree their the fronteir opening hits me so much its emotional
Xros Wars is amazing I really recommend it.
I feel like people don't like it cuz they never gave it a shot.
I think its by far the best one
You should watch xros wars❤❤
Which, technically, is kid-friendly horror.

a Tamers in Japanese reaction series would be grrreeat
If I do it, it'll more than likely be the English dub. I just prefer it for this channel.
@@ReactZones Oh.... Well thats dissapointing, all of digimon in English is heavily censored...
I'm told Tamers is the most accurate dub out of all the Digimon dubs.
