- We're back with more Street Fighter 3: Third Strike combo trials! Today we're trying combos for Necro, Sean, 12, Ryu, and Remy! There are some really hard links in these challenges, so wish me luck getting through them all!

i think it's cool that even the charge characters use double quarter circle inputs for super. def easier (for me) than holding a charge and going back and forth in a direction.
You also can use charge partition so you dont need to hold a dircection before doing a charge move,you precharge it . Watch some videos on it youll enjoy it
agreed charge supers are yyyuck
I think charge motion supers are pushing it too far with the charge. Granted, I'm the idiot who thinks every charge character should have at least 1 motion special (for scenarios where they don't have charge), but still, all motion supers is really good for everyone.
@@paulblankenship6737 no one in the right mind will ever enjoy charge partitioning or charge characters, if they do they are probably mentally unstable persons, I know a few xD , they are so hard its fucked up, like Tackle Tackle Headbutt is ridiculous hard and almost a bread and butter for Urien Players.
@@DrunkDudley its not that hard when you understand how to do it but then again ive trained with some of the best in the world in a small town in NJ. 8 on the break,look it up if you ever get a chance.

Sf4 had some crazy links, i kinda miss it but i understand why they stopped having so many 1 frame links and all that
@@MCTAP I truly miss one frame links. I felt so proud when I was able to do them. Like you, I understand why they did away with them but for me personally, I like having 1 frame links

I have never played 3rd strike, I actually only play Tekken. One of the few games you don’t play much. But you have a great personality and I love that you bring a community together to share fighting games. It makes me feel like I have friends, even though I don’t

The ryu sa2 otg with dudley isnt really that practical unless the person you're playing doesnt know how to quick rise, because throws arent a hard knockdown, but the fact you can hit him otg is kinda nutty to be honest
It can be useful in the case someone doesn't quickrise in at attempt to timer scam you!

The element of visible progress throughout the video and being able to watch them without having to watch any of the previous one's are a big draw of these trial videos.
We know that execution is optional for these combos since they're only 1.33 frame links, not 1 frame links. It's totally fine.

Fun fact: Sean says "TORNEI!!", which does exist in Portuguese, but it doesn't mean "tornado", it means "came back". As in: "I came back because I forgot my keys".

I, personally like to watching your combo trials, because I always finding some neat execution tricks. And the way you explain your thought process, some kind make it for me easier to remember them. This and it's, as you said it's actually nice "snack video" for quick entertain 👍

the OG name for 2MK is "crouching forward" afaik, so there's no ambiguity with "down forward"
I've also heard low forward. Never heard down forward in reference to c.MK tbh, but I'm a yungin

I think the reason the buttons are called that is because those explain most of Ryus combos (ex: Ryus standing hard kick is a roundhouse kick)
Oh man I forgot about these trials, and as a Necro main, that 6 shoulder cannon hit is nuts. I've only done it once (not in a real match) but players like Sugiyama make it look piss easy !

You're probably correct. Those are the names of the buttons on the old Street Fighter arcade cabinet - and that predates Street Fighter II: World Warrior. At least, that's what was on the version that had buttons. Early versions had just one giant kick and punch button and, depending on how hard you hit, you got either 3 different versions of the attack: th-cam.com/video/_xCYsySPG-g/w-d-xo.html
Those were gone pretty quickly because they broke constantly.
So lame that the combo trials are not in the 30th Anniversary Collection.
The Anniversary Version is sadly just an emulator. They sould´ve really put this one on PC.

My favorite Street Fighter (characters design-music-stages gameplay ) enjoyed with cousin at the arcades and in college (now occasionally online PS4), would be coo to have a video of you having some online matches in the original 30th Anniversary version (online version is different) I use Gouki , Amazing how you can do the combos on all players , true Fighting gamer ! Saluttt !

I've seen Magno Storm be used in the Hugo matchup over at a-cho game but otherwise I see Necro players use Electric Snake nearly exclusively
Justin Wong uses Mag Storm it's a great anti air apparently.

My hypothesis about the face-in-thumbnail issue is that every video has someone's face in it, so *not* having a face in it actually makes your video stand out. Plus, how can I not click on a video that features Necro's big ass elbow?? Haha.

He is absolutely right about Ryu's supers.
SA1 is used on necro occasionally, a bit rare but I think it might be used against certain match ups- maybe Dudley if I recall correctly but I might be wrong on that one.

2:35 honestly think that they use Killer Instinct Arcade cabinets for Street Fighter back in the day because that's how I identified Ki moves
For the Twelve combo, can't you just do qcb + p, then hcf +p for the super? I don't remember having to do qcb then qcf x2 for those kinds of combos.

a friend that plays Necro uses Magnetic Storm alot since he says he is not good enough to do the stun combos yet, but you shall also mash buttons to get more or less hits out of that super.

21:05 Other youtubers do this and I've noticed it. It's a weird kind of deja vu thing, like, "Wait isn't that the same video that was posted earlier and in my recommended earlier with a different title and thumbnail?"
I tried the 5th necro combo against Urien for myself (not in online edition), but I couldn't get past the third hit. Even testing in frame advance, doing every other hit as soon as possible, the 4th hit just won't connect. Is this an online edition exclusive combo, or is there something else I'm missing?
There’s a revision of 3rd strike (rev. 990608) that only allows 3 elbow cannons in that combo, try checking what revision it is

It was Sean 5, I murdered all these but Sean 5. I commented last vid, and yeah, that damn sweep would not hit, took days. Sean 5 was my kryptonite.
