Ikr?!? I could feel her soul going ‘aw frick, we were supposed to be friends in this life! Longtail had to mess it up!’ (Even though she may not have known they would be close, but you know it’s fine)
As near as I can tell, this is what the credits are depicting: Graypaw tries to get Rustpaw to come back to ThunderClan, but he refuses. Graypaw is then later killed by Brokenstar. With no one to oppose him, Tigerclaw is able to kill Bluestar and become Tigerstar. Princess still gives Cloudkit to ThunderClan for some reason? Tigerstar saves his son Bramblekit from the fire. The dog attack is directed at ShadowClan and ends up with Brokenstar dead. Blackfoot becomes leader with Rustheart as his deputy. They seek BloodClan's help against the aggressive Tigerstar-led ThunderClan. Scourge kills Tigerstar and takes over ThunderClan's territory. In secret, Spottedleaf leads a cat, maybe Whitestorm, to the Moonstone to become ThunderClan's new leader. Whitestar(?) then kills Scourge, reclaiming ThunderClan, but Bramblepaw dies in the battle. Somehow, Rustheart is eventually ShadowClan's leader, Ruststar, continuing his predecessors' campaign against ThunderClan and Whitestar(?). That's my guess, anyway.
The revised version: Graypaw tries to convince Rustpaw to come back to ThunderClan, but he refuses. Brokenstar drives WindClan away. At some point, Ravenpaw is murdered by Tigerclaw, but it's made to look like ShadowClan did it. With no witnesses left to stop him, Tigerclaw is then free to kill Bluestar. Princess, desperate to decide at least one of her kits' fates, takes Cloudkit into the forest and presumably to her brother. The fire in ThunderClan territory happens and Tigerstar is the one to rescue his son Bramblekit. Later, the dog plot is set into motion, directed towards ShadowClan, and takes out Brokenstar. Blackfoot becomes leader with Rustclaw as his deputy. Afterwards, Blackstar seeks BloodClan's help in getting revenge on ThunderClan. Scourge obliges, resulting in a great battle where he kills Tigerstar and takes ThunderClan over. In secret, Spottedleaf leads Longtail to the Moonstone so he can receive nine lives. Meanwhile, Scourge and Rustclaw battle it out, ending with Scourge dead; and at some point after this, Bramblepaw is mysteriously murdered. Now leader, Longstar presides smugly over a weakened, pieced-back-together ThunderClan.
@@BlueSkyBirdiesLongstar would be a cool idea. Maybe it could also be DarkStar (darkstripe) but that would require a lot more speculation At the end of Ep. 2, Darkstripe appears to be jealous. Perhaps during the battle with bloodclan, either Longtail dies to a BC cat or perhaps darkstripe secretly kills him? Maybe then, spottedleaf leads him to the moonstone and he becomes Darkstar. Like i said, lots of speculation, but it’s certainly possible since the silhouettes only show fragments of the story and not all of the details
Since it shows that Yellowfang died after being driven out, I'm guessing her wound got infected? Also the part where it shows her decomposing is bone chilling. I'm guessing in the canon that Tigerclaw doesn't get exiled, and that he's the one who saves Bramblekit in the fire. Also I'm going to guess that his dog attack is successful at killing Bluestar making Tigerclaw leader, and when he gets Scourge to take over the rest of the forest, Scourge takes over just ThunderClan instead
@@flyingwolves81woof19 You’re wrong. He’d definitely need help. Rustpaw is part of shadowclan now and Tigerclaw wants to take over ALL the clans. Thunderclan alone doesn’t have enough cats to take over the other 3 clans without assistance
@CanineArtFanatic Well you’ve got to realize that WindClan’s out of the picture. With no Fireheart, he and Graystripe never brought WindClan back. Tigerstar probably would’ve merged RiverClan with ThunderClan instead of ShadowClan, since he took over ThunderClan. This would’ve been a 2v1, with ShadowClan heavily outnumbered. So no, he really wouldn’t need BloodClan’s help
I just can't get over how such a simple thing of Rusty losing his fight with Longtail, would just change so much! This was an amazing map! I really enjoyed seeing Rustpaw struggle with acceptance ever since losing and him doing literally anything he could to get acceptance! And near the end whenever his collar was taken off and he was finally accepted, the joy he had was too great! The piano bit killed me!
Its pretty far fetched that in canon he DIDNT lose. Longtail is a full grown, fully trained warrior, and Rusty is literally a 6 moon old pampered kittypet.
@@Stormwolf4 Well, think about it. If Firepaw had lost, he could have humbly accepted defeat and gone through training. Then when hes fully grown, he and Longtail could have a rematch and hed win, proving his worth once and for all.
@@Clooover BUT, that would be actual competent writing and characterizing. It may have been the first series, but I still don't see them doing something that well thought out
Alternate title: “Brokenstar and Blackfoot adopt a child”. Though I’m seriously curious as to what the silhouettes mean. I think Tigerstar becomes leader of TC, Scourge kills him and then takes over TC and then Rustpaw kills Scourge and takes over TC? Idk. I’m excited for the next map tho.
Honestly, it feels JUST like Bluestar to let Longtail beat up a child. I mean- Lostface? Actually letting cats in her clan reject Goldenflower’s litter? She had some. Issues. Towards the end.
Have you read Bluestars Prophecy? She had a VERY hard life also Lostface and Tigerstars kits getting harassed was all after she snapped and went insane. In this AU she thinks that Rusty man destroy her clan so in an attempt to save her clan she makes him prove himself. He fails so she let's Longtail drive him out for the clans safety
@@mcytfan1415 Annnnnd how does her hard life make any of what she did ok? Heck, she didn’t even know about Thistle training on the dark forest- heck, he didn’t do that until AFTER she became deputy. It doesn’t matter if she was depressed or had a hard life, her acting like she did was just wrong, and it’s even treated as such in the books. Fireheart even expresses how horrible a leader she is in the books. Bluestar was a good character till that arch, and it’s frankly sad that’s how the authors decided to write her in the end. But still. Letting a kitten get beat up by a warrior definitely seems like something she’d do- since she actually did it in canon. Only difference is Rusty almost choked to death on his collar while she watched. Edit: Also, insane is a bit far. She was paranoid and depressed, but not insane. She clearly could comprehend what was going on- else Brightpaw wouldn’t have become Lostface and she wouldn’t have blamed her and the clan for both the dog attack and everything she went through
@JaelyyyMar I mean yeah but I don't see a problem with they wrote her! I actually found it very interesting how she spiraled, it made her character interesting and when she decides to (Spoilers!) sacrifice herself for the clan at the end? It honestly made me surprised because she seemed to not care about her clan but she still did she just didnt express it. Also! Depression and paranoia can make people (and in this case cats) do things they regret! Dont forget that, it's the depression and paranoia that caused her to act like this, you stated that "it doesnt matter if she was depressed or had a hard life", it actually does! People (and cats in this case lmao) with trauma and depression make them see the world through a different mindset! She was brought up with violence and betrayal! Because of that, of course she's gonna think that letting a young cat try to fight a warrior is valid, even if its not. I suggest you do some research on what depression and trauma can harm in the mindset of anyone (Sorry if my english is a bit messy too)
@@noaho8138 Lmao, I’m more than aware of what depression could do to a person. I’m going to use an example Puzzli did. If the Priest started refusing to see people, renamed a pope a horrific insult, and threatened other countries for little to no reason using depression and/or trauma as an excuse? (WindClan dog attack thingy) He would have been kicked and shunned for being a horrible leader. And Bluestar’s redemption arc doesn’t make that better, cuz again, she actually kept with her character from her novella and Spotted’s, too. It doesn’t matter if a person has depression or trauma, those kind of actions are inexcusable, especially in a children’s book. (Also, the depression excuse low key reminds me of the literal Nazi forgiveness show Steven Ubermench, lmao)
Insane or depressed bluestar is still bluestar, she did terrible shit and made people suffer, all while firestar tried to care for her and make her feel safe, just like Whitestorm. Yet somehow the fan base decides to defend her, the only problem there was her.
you could see him hesitating after he stole the kittens, but the reassurance from the rest of shadowclan changed that. i love this and all the artists are so talented ✨
LongTail: Oh cool, ShadowClan will take care of that kittypet dork. ShadowClan: *Take good care of the 'kittpet dork' LongTail at the gathering: OH- Rusty: *Blinds a cat that had a full warrior's training. Also steals four kits with ease.* All of ThunderClan: .... All of ThunderClan: LongTail..?
@Just a Piranha Plant with Internet Access His pelt is like fire, that will never change. His name later given had nothing to do with the prophecy, it was his coat color.
Okay okay okay. What if Blackfoot starts to feel guilty and convinces Rustpaw to start protesting against Brokenstar and they drive him out with the help of ThunderClan under Tigerstar on the condition that ThunderClan be allowed to hunt on their territory. Obviously nobody in ShadowClan is happy about this development, but they don't have a choice. Tigerstar starts trying to convince Blackstar that he isn't suited for leadership and to let him take over. Tigerstar gets BloodClan to help him but obviously Scourge kills him instead. And nobody wants Darkstripe/Longtail to be leader so now ThunderClan is having a leadership crisis and idk what from there
I like to think the starclan prophecy was something like "beware the light in the shadows" or something like that instead of "fire alone will save our clan"
And instead of fireheart, the name that would have symbolized bravery and drive, he gets Rustheart- with horrid rust forming over the rain of old wounds. Deeper explanation: The name "Fire" would give him a good reason to fight, a good reason to live, and a will- an urge to set things right. When you describe someone say as with "fire in their eyes" or "a fire within their soul", it means they are driven to do something until their fire burns out. The prefix "rust" however, has an opposite meaning. Rust forms on iron after rain, and is hard to scrape off. Meaning that the name "Rustheart" would say that rust has formed over the wounds of rain, in which what happened in Thunderclan. Its like saying there is "rust over his heart" covering up who he once was.
@Alyssa Gross I wrote this before part two for your information, your friends must love being around someone who corrects everything they say. I did not know it was going to be 'claw' those months ago, and was merely theorizing the possibility of the name and hidden meaning. Didn't think I would have to, since most would see the time it was posted and realize that.
a similar thing happened to scourge when he wandered into thunderclan territory as a kit compared to what happened to rusty in this au. very unlikely, but it would be interesting if scourge ended up being the one to save thunderclan.
So here’s what I think the “about the AU” is about: I think tigerclaw is talking to Rustpaw about combining shadowclan with thunderclan or chasing out shadowclan so they can take their territory, showing that the shadowclan symbol is cut in two and showing the thunderclan symbol. Rustpaw does not look happy at all. The next scene shows a attack, most likely against thunderclan, but I’m not sure because I can’t tell who is who by the person’s art style except for the leader, which looks like brokenstar. A cat dies and for the front leg markings, it looks like tigerclaw killed the cat. The next scene looks like tigerclaw about to kill bluestar, making him the leader of thunderclan. After showing all the thumbnails, the next scene looks like princess giving CloudKit to Rustpaw, who probably has a warrior name at this point, and CloudKit is possibly going to be a shadowclan warrior now. After that, it seems to be that it’s tigerstar that saves bramblekit in the fire instead of fireheart, or that’s twannypelt he’s saving, not sure but one of them and it’s most likely bramblekit. And to people who think the dogs killed most of thunderclan, look at the tail of the last cat to appear in view. That cat has a crooked tail. That cat, is brokenstar. Brokenstar was the one that died from the dogs, and probably other shadowclan and possibly riverclan and thunderclan cats to. And then Blackfoot is most likely the new leader of shadowclan, probably making Rustpaw deputy. The next scene, i think the cat going to scourge isn’t tigerstar, but blackstar. Bloodclan attacks thunderclan and wins after scourge kills tigerstar the same way he did in the original books, taking over thunderclan. Then spottedleaf? finds a cat to bring thunderclan back, unsure of who the cat is, it’s probably Rustpaw but it’s more likely a different cat that takes the role of defeating scourge after getting their 9 lives from StarClan. Edit: now that I look at the cat’s tail, I think the mystery cat that took down scourge was longtail
I completely agree with this. Also, i think the cat that died in the shadowclan raid was Lionheart, who was deputy of Thunderclan that time. That also makes Tigerclaw deputy, on what gives him a reason to kill Bluestar.
You guys have to remember her past animals have the same feelings as humans I've had some stuff happen to me to make me do stuff that doesn't seem like me anymore
@@brianaandamythebffs6917 It's still her fault, just because Bluestar meant well when she moved her kits doesn't mean it isn't her fault Mosskit died and Mistystar became immortal lmao
I love that Thornkit is just like *Stewie Grifin voice* "I hate it here." lol Also I just really love that Brokenstar lip sync of "everybody let's go." It's so well done.
I’ve been waiting for this map since you and Icecyclone hosted it, and man I did not end disappointed, it was worth the waiting! All the artists did a good job! I love Rustpaw design and how his stripe and color palette give the illusion of his pelt was rusting. But what I think that I love the more about this AU is that I find it believable, let me explain: my problem about many “evil” characters AU is that in many of this AUs exaggerate the actions and personality of the character to the point were I don’t think that even if the character had lived the way it did in the AU It still wouldn’t end up doing what they did in the AU, so it doesn’t feel like I am seeing an alternate universe were the character make different decisions and take another path it feels more like I am seeing another character. This is fine people make this AUs not with the intention of writing the next: “Paradise Lost” but for the sake of having fun and it’s fine, it’s fun, it doesn’t harm anyone, many artists enjoy drawing their favorite characters as the villains and many other people (myself included) enjoy seeing it. But it’s always refreshing and welcome an AU were the characters act according to their personality. I find believable that Rusty would act this way if he was rejected and kicked out of Thunderclan, in fact his actions can be interpreted as he does this not because “he’s evil and wants to make suffer the cats who wronged him” but because he wants to prove his loyalty to the clan and the leader that accepted him with open arms when others had previously rejected him.
:0 I actually have a theory did spottedleaf get the sign but didn’t believe starclan and she realized she was wrong to when the scene of her running into rust paw stealing the kits because of the light shining on him like he’s fire but then he goes of into the shadows Sorry this is long
*HIGH PITCHED SCREAMING* LET ME INNNNNNNNN PL E A S E D: GOD ITS GONNA BE AMAZING I CANT WAIT- EDIT: FFFFFFFFFFFFF I MISSED IT- THIS MAP WAS AMAZING THOUGH YA’LL 🥺
Okay throwing in an idea I had and yes I know this is very late: at 2:44 where Rusty/Rustpaw ran past Spottedleaf, I think she saw the prophecy that shown in Rusty's fur that shown like fire in the rising sun. Only it was not Fire Alone Will Save Our Clan, rather, her look of shock and fear says it, and it isn't just because of the stolen kits but the new prophecy: Fire Will Destroy The Clan. She realizes that Bluestar made a mistake of not helping Rusty or stopping the very one sided fight with Longtail and that the consequences of one mistake will have a snowball affect. Again I am sure I'm very off and it's just the fact Shadowclan and Rusty stealing the kits, but it was just the look Spottedleaf gave that made me think she saw something horrible in Rustpaw's future. Great animation, everyone did amazing!
Let's goooo, I've seen a bunch of the parts (This is one of those maps whose parts are so gorgeous you almost watch the whole map without it being made), and this gonna be absolutely amazingg!! Plus that thumbnail is well deserved, I'm happy they won. But yes this map is gonna be fantastic. It's a creative au (Shadowclan is underrated), it's got fabulous parts and the host has a stellar taste in music, seriously this song is wild. I can't wait to see Rustpaw get slapped by Longtail.
This is one of the coolest MAPs I've seen in a while. Everyone did a fantastic job and there was so much love and care put into everything regarding the project. Awesome work
I could see Brokenstar taking in a kittypet like Rusty. He had no problem taking in Boulder before the series began so clearly Shadowclan is a bit more open to strangers than the other clans.
All the parts, while beautiful in their own right, look down right stunning when put together. This map was an absolute joy to work on and see it's progression. I look forward to more like this along with more content from the people involved. Amazing job everyone!!
Wow this AU slaps I love it and everyone did a really good job at keeping the story consistent and easy to follow and of course the animation is lovely I actually think the psychology of Rusty in this is really realistic. Rusty is brought to Thunderclan as a six moon old kit after hearing Thunderclan being all talked up by Greypaw (and Shadowclan talked down). He is completely untrained and has no knowledge of how to survive beside his very basic instincts and yet he faces Longtail as a trial for entry, a fully trained warrior. Longtail essentially tears him to shreds as Rusty looks around at all of these other warriors for help but none come to his aid at all. He develops the impression that clan cats are ruthless and the way they interact with kits to be barbaric, especially when Longtail then even chases him off while he's injured. Encountering the Shadowclan cats, Rusty is instantly weary of them, but the Shadowclan cats invite him in kindly, even if they mock him for his kittypet roots they at least see something worthwhile in him, even if it's just as another soldier in essence. Here Rusty would come to the conclusion that it's specifically Thunderclan cats who are terrible. Newly named Rustpaw develops a grudge, as well as a feeling of self-resentment most likely towards his kittypet roots which he believes made him weak. He wants to become strong enough to prevent what happened to him from ever happening to anyone else, and sees Brokenstar as a cat who can help him achieve this. When Brokenstar kills the kits and blames it on Yellowfang, this would incite a trauma response in Rustpaw as he remembers how he was brutalized as a kit and how that felt, so he feels it morally justified to attack Yellowfang so harshly - he holds no sympathy whatsoever to any cat who would abuse a kit. This would then explain why Rustpaw has no concerns over stealing kits from Thunderclan as well if he believes that Thunderclan cats are not equipped to raise their kittens. He genuinely believes they will be better cared for in Shadowclan as he has been manipulated by Brokenstar and doesn't realize that what Brokenstar has done is so much worse. Rustpaw sees Brokenstar as the cat that kindly took him in and gave him a chance to make something of himself, even if Brokenstar was truly just using him. That's why I like this AU so much if the way I interpret it holds any weight, because Rustpaw is still an inherently good cat who seeks out justice for others - he's not even aware at all that what he is doing is bad, he believes he is fully in the right. This is represented when Rustpaw is stealing the kits and turning into the light as Spottedleaf watches in horror like DAMN I had to replay that several times... it's like an homage to the cat that Rustpaw could have been. In the end, Rustpaw has finally accomplished his goal and become a protector of the weak. Brokenstar symbolically rips off his collar and welcomes him as a true Shadowclan cat - he's proven his loyalty and strength. It's really just utterly tragic all around because he's being manipulated by the cat embodiment of everything he stands against. I'd love to see his reaction to learning what Brokenstar has done and in what ways it would affect Rustpaw's moral compass. Would he go off on his own believing that all clan cats are terrible and their society needs to be purged? Would he kill Brokenstar himself and go on to be leader, reforming the ways of the clans from the inside out? He could become a villain figure who believes he's doing entirely the right thing and man I just wanna know more now. I don't usually comment (especially not to share theories) but I haven't seen anyone else talk about Rustpaw's internal motivations so here I am making a clown of myself in public but yeah I like this story, good job to everyone who made this come together! :)
@@Nutellacat Well from my memory I think Longtail challenged him and Bluestar was like "okay I guess" and then he kind of won but I'm not sure if Bluestar would've actually not let him join in the main series if he didn't win lol
One thing I immensely enjoy doing when seeing an AU is to try and figure out the smallest traceable event which would lead to the timeline split. For Rustpaw, the split takes place in a pet shop somewhere in Great Britain, where a twoleg finds themselves in a deep internal discourse as they debate between spending 15 on the normal collar, or 20 on the premium... And then also the fur dye incident but we don’t talk about that-
i love that even though shadowclan is the "evil" clan in the books in this au they welcomed Rusty even though he was a kittypet unlike thunderclan who made him fight a warrior like, it's a 6-month-old domestic kitten against an already trained warrior wildcat
POV: You have been waiting for this MAP forever. You see this in your recommendations before the premiere, and you set a reminder. Next day, you are doing MAP testing for school and you get the notification. You scream inwardly
I love the symbolism in this! Especially how since he lost his tag he lost who he was then was held back by his past, this was amazing everyone did beautiful!
Brokenstar: *"Hey, Legally Adopted Child, I Would Be Most Grateful If You Murder My Mother."* Rustpaw: " What Do I Get? " Brokenstar: " I'll Drive You To MCDonalds. " Rustpaw: *" We Have A Deal. "*
Can't wait! I'm sure its going to be amazing :] Edit: watched it during the premier!! It was better than i thought it was going to be! Good job to everyone who worked on it! It all looks absolutely gorgeous.
Seeing this I wish the books had taken this route instead. After the ending where he's apprenticed as Rustpaw, Rustpaw starts training in ernest and maybe he sees just how dangerous the training is. If he becomes a warrior he could've still mentored Cinderpaw, but she wouldn't just be injured at the thunderpath, Brokenstar would have killed her in a "training" session. Rustpelt (generic warrior ending word) might have seen this and either gone after Brokenstar himself, or ran off and teamed up with Scourge and Bloodclan, leading them to the clans and straight to Brokenstar. Tigerstar would be in Thunderclan now, making life hell for the cats there, and Rustpelt would be either deputy to Blackstar, Scourge as Scourgestar or something, maybe Bloodstar? or maybe Rustpelt became leader himself as Ruststar and lead the clans with Tigerclan vs Lionclan as Thunder and River with Tiger and Shadow and Wind as Lion. Lionclan disowns Bloodclan on the battlefield leading to a three-way war... God why did they have to make the book so generically good vs evil in comparison
Super pumped, I adore bastardization arcs. No more hero good guy properganda, this is the stuff I'm here for! 6:57 is sorta reminiscent of Scourge sitting with Bone and Brick. Dunno if that was on purpose, or just me looking too much into it
Theory for the rest of the first arc; Rustpaw becomes Blackfoots apprentice, and Thunderclan searches for the kits. But Shadowclan's elders/those that don't agree with Brokenstar can't come forward because Yellowfang died. Shadowclan keeps them. They forget they were ever Thunderclan, and become Shadowclan apprentices. Rustpaw helps Shadowclan drive out Windclan, and tries to force Thunder and Riverclan to give up hunting space. Bluestar tries to make a claim about how horrible Shadowclan is for stealing kits, but Brokenstar has Rustpaw come forward and tell basically Riverclan that he himself was barely six moons old when Bluestar almost allowed Longtail to kill him in their camp. Riverclan doesn't trust either remaining clan at this point, and ask for a moon to think about it. Thunderclan refuses the offer, and Shadowclan plots to take down Thunderclan. Rustpaw could meet Ravenpaw by accident and get the news that Redtail was killed by Tigerclaw, and allows Brokenstar to use this information to promise Tigerclaw Leadership if he helps take down Bluestar. And so they plan an attack on Thunderclan camp, and as they steal more kits, Rustpaw helps Tigerclaw kill Bluestar, and maybe gets his revenge on Longtail in the same fight. Tigerstar is now leader and Rustpaw gets his warrior name. But Tigerstar wants more power, and teams up with Riverclan to find Windclan so they can drive out Brokenstar, so he can then take control of both clans and territory's and force Crookedstar to join him. They find Windclan, but they are very weak, and Shadowclan fights them again, with Rust(heart?) stopping Mudclaw from getting help. Windclan is slaughtered aside from Gorsekit, who is now Shadowclan, who might become Rust's apprentice later on. Not too sure what I think will happen after that though, but it is interesting!
to be honest, I wouldn't mind if Rusty joined ShadowClan. In his perspective, Brokenstar was the good guy. Which I totally understand because he just got kicked out of ThunderClan. This MAP is so amazing. Keep up the good work *Proceeds to add MAP to my Warrior cats playlist*

I DIDNT GET THE NOTIF WHEN IT WAS PREMIERING IM SO MAD >:0 Thank you guys so much for having me in this map it was so fun and I adore everything about this au. Lmao it was funny seeing everyone react to my part in the chat too.
This is such a brilliant, creative AU! I am thinking of all the ways "Rustpaw" would have developed differently. His character would have been so interesting to read (in a different way)! The kit-stealing scene was fantastic. Spottedleaf staring as "Rustpaw" ran and the light covered him... amazing artistic choice! I also love how "Rustpaw" is drawn noticeably smaller compared to the full-grown cats. It's a nice detail that reminds you how young he is in context of this AU (after reading the series and watching him grow up.)
Rust paw:*Points at Thunder clan* I thought you were bae but I guess you're just fam Black foot before Rust paw joined: a potato flew around my room before you came
Ahhh! So the main things I caught about the ‘about the au parts’ There’s no one to save Bluestar when Tigerclaw attacks her Tigerclaw does not defect to Shadowclan The dogs end up killing way more cats than in the books Thunderclan was wiped out and taken over by bloodclan
Ugh this is such a good map I love how well I can understand the story even without reading into what the AU was about, I especially love the way rustpaw chasing out yellowfang mirrored how longtail chased him out, and those credits were just the cherry on top
8:01 Something about those two dancing enthusiastically to Fire's piano is just so wholesome. The memes really sell a friendship that I want to see more of honestly
I like how Spottedleaf survives the Clawface scene. It goes to show that if Clawface had help from someone slightly less open to killing, like Rustpaw, it would be a stealth mission rather than a "hey let's kill everyone in our vicinity" mission.
I am so anxious to see that!!! A lot of people have a Evil FireStar AU, but this one is much more original, specially because uses BrokenStar and ShadowClan (both are not much used in AUs and people usually prefer TigerStar/Mapleshade). Good job everyone, your parts are awesome and this thumbnail is wonderful!!!!
Woah, this is amazing! It makes me think of the nature vs. nurture argument. Rusty is a good cat at heart but wasn’t welcomed properly into the clans and broken star nurtured him to be a not so great cat. It will be VERY interesting to see how this plays out in the future (if there are future videos of course) Edit: I I know I just left this comment but I wanted to say good job to all the animators aswell!
2:15 I like how they drew the scars parting the fur on yellowfang. I really do! Ans how on 2:17 we can see how much more confident rustclaw was with jumping, his paws tucked in, his back straighter then yellowfang and a confident facial expression while Yellowfang is running for her life. Horrifying! 2:26 This scene freaked me out though… the idea that of fire star hadn’t found yellowfang she would have just been left to rot…
ABHHHHHH I LOVE THIS AU!! the plot of revenge, and power is so fluid and matching. this is an incredible map!! all the animators did absolutely amazing!!
Ok, so: First, WOW. That was a-maz-ing! I'd seen some of the individual parts, but even so, I didn't expect it to be quite this good! 11/10! Second: That ending was actually really wholesome. Brokenstar knowing how much Rustpaw's collar bothered him, and ripping it off, then him touching noses with Blackfoot, and just... wow.
So rusty is made to prove his worth before he is allowed to be apprenticed. He becomes an apprentice to blackfoot around the same time he became a warrior in cannon
Oh my god the part where he’s running away with the kits is BEAUTIFUL Tumblingdarkling did an incredible job, and so did everyone else this MAP is fantastic and y’all should be proud, wow!

Brokenstar: "Its free apprentice and estate"
Nice spin on the *"it's free relestate"* meme 😂
im late but I imagined him saying that in a Russian accent because of bokbokchoy's wca epsiodes 😹
lol technically what bluestar did in the books
As near as I can tell, this is what the credits are depicting:
Graypaw tries to get Rustpaw to come back to ThunderClan, but he refuses.
I think princes gives cloudkit to rustypaw so, cloudtail is probably a shadowclan warrior?
The revised version:
Graypaw tries to convince Rustpaw to come back to ThunderClan, but he refuses.
Maybe it could also be DarkStar (darkstripe) but that would require a lot more speculation
At the end of Ep.
Yellowing probably starved without Firepaw to give her food
@@flyingwolves81woof19 You’re wrong. He’d definitely need help. Rustpaw is part of shadowclan now and Tigerclaw wants to take over ALL the clans. Thunderclan alone doesn’t have enough cats to take over the other 3 clans without assistance
@@canineartfanatic but wind clan will probably be out of the picture without anyone to come back and save it
it was bone chilling for yellow fang too.
@@Clooover I mean, the main character HAS to win every fight lol
@@Stormwolf4 Well, think about it. If Firepaw had lost, he could have humbly accepted defeat and gone through training. Then when hes fully grown, he and Longtail could have a rematch and hed win, proving his worth once and for all.
@@Clooover BUT, that would be actual competent writing and characterizing. It may have been the first series, but I still don't see them doing something that well thought out

Or
"Fire alone will kill our clan"

Brokenstar just being like: NO WAIT! Don’t kill him, he’s fluffy
Lol
I legit could never even imagine firestar as a villan. He was just the definition of good and righteousness. This was such a good what if senerio.
And instead of fireheart, the name that would have symbolized bravery and drive, he gets Rustheart- with horrid rust forming over the rain of old wounds.
Deeper explanation:
The name "Fire" would give him a good reason to fight, a good reason to live, and a will- an urge to set things right.
@Alyssa Gross
I wrote this before part two for your information, your friends must love being around someone who corrects everything they say. I did not know it was going to be 'claw' those months ago, and was merely theorizing the possibility of the name and hidden meaning. Didn't think I would have to, since most would see the time it was posted and realize that.
The part that really hit me was when Brokenstar ripped off Rusty’s/Firestar’s collar. Dang, that was so cool and gave me the chills!
a similar thing happened to scourge when he wandered into thunderclan territory as a kit compared to what happened to rusty in this au. very unlikely, but it would be interesting if scourge ended up being the one to save thunderclan.
I doubt that was what happened in this au, but yeah, it'd be a cool plot twist
"dark emo boy alone will save our clan"
"emo boy? but emo boys are feared by all clans!"
Rusty: *gets beat up by full grown warrior and is chased down by him*
Everyone:Guess he'll die
Rusty: *NO*
So here’s what I think the “about the AU” is about:
I think tigerclaw is talking to Rustpaw about combining shadowclan with thunderclan or chasing out shadowclan so they can take their territory, showing that the shadowclan symbol is cut in two and showing the thunderclan symbol.
@@evelanch360 that makes a lot of sense, since with lionheart dead he can kill bluestar with no problem since rustpaw is in ShadowClan
@@Moonfire_18 Yeah, he had no one to stop him.

Okay throwing in an idea I had and yes I know this is very late:
at 2:44 where Rusty/Rustpaw ran past Spottedleaf, I think she saw the prophecy that shown in Rusty's fur that shown like fire in the rising sun.

IKR
Wait there's literally a whole community dedicated to this au O-O
Wow this AU slaps I love it and everyone did a really good job at keeping the story consistent and easy to follow and of course the animation is lovely
I actually think the psychology of Rusty in this is really realistic.

And then also the fur dye incident but we don’t talk about that-
I like that Rusty driving out Yellowfang parallels how Longtail drove Rusty out. A very nice detail uwu

@@trash752 yeah... Shadowclan did some pretty sucky stuff. Wish they were better in a way sometimes :/
That one dislike is from buff Longtail
Bluestar: Go fight that fully trained warrior Rusty!
Rusty in Shadowclan: *I'm about to end this mans whole clan*
Rusty joining Shadowclan instead changes *everything*
Nothing in modern Warrior Cats would be the same and that’s why I love AUs like this. So cool!
I'd love a part two that reveals how RustPaw reacts for the rest of the series 👀
This was amazing!
LET’S GOOOOO! THIS MAP IS GONNA BE *THE* MAP OF THE YEAR, CAN’T WAIT OMFG
Imo it really is. At least the AU map of the year
to be honest, I rather like Rusty in this AU-
to be honest, I wouldn't mind if Rusty joined ShadowClan. In his perspective, Brokenstar was the good guy. Which I totally understand because he just got kicked out of ThunderClan. This MAP is so amazing. Keep up the good work
*Proceeds to add MAP to my Warrior cats playlist*

Nobody:
Not the creator themself:
The kit always nervous:●-●
The kit who's always confused: tha heaven?
The kit that never cares: can I just sleep? (Who can tell which is which)
I DIDNT GET THE NOTIF WHEN IT WAS PREMIERING IM SO MAD >:0
Thank you guys so much for having me in this map it was so fun and I adore everything about this au.
My favorite part is when Rustpaw passes Spottedleaf, it's so well done and so dramatic! The lighting is great, Tumbling Darkling did a great job!
Rust paw:*Points at Thunder clan* I thought you were bae but I guess you're just fam
Black foot before Rust paw joined: a potato flew around my room before you came
The vine with Rust sadly playing piano and the other joining him making him happy is the cutest thing.
Ahhh! So the main things I caught about the ‘about the au parts’
There’s no one to save Bluestar when Tigerclaw attacks her
Tigerclaw does not defect to Shadowclan
The dogs end up killing way more cats than in the books
Thunderclan was wiped out and taken over by bloodclan
Brokenstar, holding up Rustpaw: is this my *new son?*
"What would you do if there were a child right in front of you"....
Longtail: D E S T R O Y
Holy- the scene with yellowfang getting eaten by maggots and bugs was disturbing
Augh yeah-- i had to rewind to make sure I hadn't misseen it
Woah, this is amazing! It makes me think of the nature vs. nurture argument. Rusty is a good cat at heart but wasn’t welcomed properly into the clans and broken star nurtured him to be a not so great cat. It will be VERY interesting to see how this plays out in the future (if there are future videos of course)
Edit: I I know I just left this comment but I wanted to say good job to all the animators aswell!
I like how my man just *jumped over the inteir thunder path* ( 1:11 )
Me: Let's watch this MAP I've been looking forward to while I eat my breakfast
Yellowfang's Maggot-Ridden Corpse: You sure about that?

Not even a soul:
Rusty's Tail: *Broken*

It is not broken it curves behide the fence

Everyone did an amazing job!!! TYSM for letting me participate on this! it meant a LOT for me!
Ok, so:
First, WOW.
Oh my god the part where he’s running away with the kits is BEAUTIFUL
Tumblingdarkling did an incredible job, and so did everyone else this MAP is fantastic and y’all should be proud, wow!
This AU is so smart and cool! I love the scene where he runs past spottedleaf and instantly shes like "well, shit. weve fucked up!"
