Unlike other bags you guys review, the Timbuk2 have a lot of variations inside and out, mine has a laptop holder, tablet sleeve and cushioned handle. Also they have customizable options. But overall it’s mainly no frills but durable and highly customizable.
I have three timbuk2 classic mess bags I have 2 med bags with I don't get because one is bigger than the other ? Ive taken one to work throw all my gear in it it work fine and dandy the other medium one I used it to deliver stuff and I had to deliver some school supplies to a student and some folder's didn't fit easily ? The Xtra small one I gave it to my daughter and she takes it all over and all the things she can put in there is amazing. I love how light the bag is and when I load it up its still light where other bags are light with some wight and when you load them up there heavy.
I had a TIMBUK2 MESSENGER BAG, a medium size back in 1999 and it has changed a lot over the years. There was no key chain, no dedicated for laptops/tablets, no bottle holder, no stationary and no handle on top of messenger bag. The only things it came where a small zip pocket, a small on the inside from one end to the other end divider to separate from books, magazines or newspapers and that’s it.
One thing that I have done to the strap of my (small) Classic messenger was buying a Greenroom136 shoulder strap pad made for the Metrodrifter bag. The shoulder strap made it way more comfortable with heavier loads (I ended up buying 2 more of those pads for my gym and travel duffle bag). Also, gonna drop a video on the Chrome Hondo? Looking to pick it up
My personal opinion is this bag is not ambidextrous, regardless if you are carrying a light or weighted load your shoulder will hurt if you wear it for a period of time so its nice to have an option to switch sides when you need it
This pack is 21L and is the medium size. Plus, it's also available in 3 other sizes. You can also find all of the technical details over on our site here: packhacker.com/travel-gear/timbuk2/classic-messenger-bag/ 😊 - Rebecca
I have the this and the large one, my complaints were no paddings (sides, below and on the back especially for laptop) and holder at all. I got many dents on my mac or other laptops just because accidentally bumped on doors or walls or other things...

Do you have any experience with the Custom features?
It would be nice if you mention the price at the start, middle and end. For most young 'student' backpackers, the price is the most important.

Hey Celal! According to their site, the small fits up to a 13" laptop. Thanks for the comment!

I bought all my Timbuk2s on eBay for less than $40.

Is the strap removeable?
no it isn't
No but why would u want to remove it ?? It’s designed to be cross body hands free
@@jaredharris1970 Because it is set up for right-handed use and some people aren't right-handed.

Man… the review it’s on point but kinda hard not to hear you sucking your teeth every other sentence. Great if you can work that out…
