This comment may have been 7 years ago but think of it like this. . . you don't get any (or much) choice of the high school that you attend nor the kinds of fellow students that you are forced to go to school with. You are limited to making friends out of a limited group of people but in the real world, you would probably be just acquaintances with these people. So it's understandable that most of your high school friends will gravitate away from you and out of your life after high school.
@@holiday197 Interests change, I don't hang out with any of the dudes from my high school. They all have my number and they never call or text me and vice versa. It just happens and I know there exists people who are depressed because high school came and went and now they have no friends and can't move on from their high school days. I also know some college graduates who have post graduate depression. It's pretty similar to the people who are depressed about high school. So just have fun in life and strive for what you want in life that will benefit you. At the end of the day, it's all about you.

You may pass with flying colors and be academically smart but not real world/street smart... because those are one of the best teachers in life; experiences. Explore more talents or hobbies that will help you throughout in life. And learn to depend on yourself always. Because there are some people (you may or not know personally) that you think that could help you but really not. If you want something done right, better do it yourself.
My previous college fucked me over, hard and badly. Just because of one tiny mistake/misunderstanding. At that moment, I knew they fucked me up and not me. At first they wanna see you succeed then gain your trust then when you want even just a little bit of help from them, they will lowkey bring you down. These are the things I learned from my first college for 2 1/2 years.
I don't wanna bring religion into this but I feel like it's got something to do with what has happened to me in those years. In my 2+ years experience in college, even though God was one of the few people(?) I seek help/answers to, he nothing happened/ I know it doesn't happen in a snap but I was patiently waiting for a sign and he gave me nothing. That's when I realize I wasted some of my precious time praying and attending masses and nothing. Starting that day, I didn't believe in religion or any of those non-sense. They were just things society wants us to believe in but I learned my lesson and I am no longer fooled by "God". I consider myself as a person with no religion, but not an atheist (I don't wanna self-proclaim).
Things change in college because college isn't about being smart it's about being intelligent and forming your own complex theories instead of just understanding someone's else's.
LOL I actually confessed to my crush on the last day of high school and we ended up registered under the same university, on the same course, and the same class for a year. YEAH. But it's okay because I finally found out how much of a jerk and selfish he is. So, thank you, God!
I'm so scared for collage. At the end when he said he's seen kids who just barely graduated high school work hard and do awesome in college made me cry.
I have my last day of school today and felt sort of abandoned because last week all my fellow seniors graduated and i have to wait to graduate in the summer. This video gave me new hope because it makes me realize there really is a fresh start after high school, thank you for this dudes.
The biggest tip I have is to learn how to pay your bills!!! My older brother still doesn't know how, he's 24 living at home, with a wife and kid. He had his own place, but they got kicked out cause they didn't pay rent! Don't be like my brother.
The only thing I miss about high school besides my friends is the cafeteria food. My cafeteria food was the bOMB. I'm talking fresh bubble teas, Chee Cheong Fan, Char Kuey Teow, burgers, tons of snacks, dim sum and friggin chinese cakes. Damn.

Leave with biased sense of Us vs them mentality and almost guarantee to give you PTSD that will cause a burden on everyone else in your life. Not to mention the actual dangers of being in military. Fighting for a cause thats not clear to people in the military. Military breaks it all down to objectives, and uses authority figures to keep you from questioning. When things become little objectives/missions, its hard to know whats going on in the big picture. If military is your thing, do it, but i would suggest thinking long and hard before committing.
Alex Nomichit There's a lot more than just combat. We have doctors, drivers, pilots, engineers, mechanics, police & logistics. Just to name a few. And yes, as an E1, you don't get paid much. Your pay is based on a number of different things.
I just graduated highschool and I just turned 18 as well. I didn't start college yet but I'm starting soon if not now then in January and its freaking me out cause I don't know what to major in. I'll figure it out but it already seems like I'm a failure smh there's so much pressure at this point in life
+Corymadeit Don't give up! You'll be surprised to find that 3/5 people changed their majors at least 3 times during college. I changed my major from Elementary Education to Computer Science and then to Journalism. But now Im back at Elementary Education. Gonna graduate this May to become a teacher! Super excited. You have time to figure this whole thing out. But remember to declare your REAL major in your Junior Year. That way you won't be held back. But staying a year behind is okay if financial is not your problem. Good luck kiddo!

Middle school is 3 years in the US an extra year of high school wont account for that. I never claimed to now anything about your foreign education so don't try to say something like that about ours..
