Such lovely birds. My experience as a young teenager raising a male chick, they are loyal to their person. After initially training mine to come using treats, I never needed to use treats when he was an adult to get him to come to me. He could be hundreds of yards away, and he would fly to me when I blew a whistle.
@@rocketraccoon9898 yep, actually one aftican owl and one Siberian. No regrets, I think they are better than hawks for amateur falconry. My first owl was named Soren..
I also think its a good idea to use a glove from the beginningon. So the bird is focused more on the glove instead of a hand, now its hard for me to touch him without he wanting to eat something from my hand. ''A lot'' of people breed them, so by searching via google and facebook it won't be hard to find kestrels

wow this is a great video! thanks for taking the time to share
This reminds me of a book I read called "A kestrel for a knave". Great book. Its about the bond of the boy and the kestrel, the training and journey.
Kadeen Dallas you can get the film
When you were swinging that sack attached to string I thought it was the Kestrel 😂😂😂
Hahaha, I only do that when he isn't listening😂😂

pro trick: watch movies at flixzone. Me and my gf have been using it for watching a lot of movies recently.
@Adrian Eden Yea, been using flixzone} for years myself =)

Do they normally catch on so quickly?
What kind of whistle are you using here? I have sports whistles but don't like them as much as the one you are using here.
How much do you feed him per day?
He's very pretty. Do you ever take him out to big feilds to do releases?

I would have thought he’d be using a glove.
Indeed grip is rather soft. Although it hurts when one of its nails go under your cuticle.
