Had fun at a Delaware park today. Got hawaii and Australia on 10M today, then PR in 17M , 20W, hamstick’s on the roof. It was fun. 29M looked like a zoo. started about 2PM local time
There is the other grey line advantage in that people often play radio when they get up and when they are about to go to bed (leaving the main day and night clear for family things) hence a greater chance of finding someone to contact... In your Australia example even if the band opened the number of hams there on the band at 3am in the morning probably won't be that high restricting your contact chances somewhat.
How do the callsigns get added instantly to the ticker? Is there a way that as soon as you log your contact it's uploaded to dx heat? What logging software do you use for portable and at home? 73.

@@StreakyP very true
Garbage Dumps on the air…. Ha ha ha ha.
Porta Potties on the air would work for me. At 72, I need to visit one every 30 minutes.
Thanks for the laugh! It's great to see everyone finding humor in the hobby. Appreciate your support!
Nice Bu-cee's shirt 😀
Thanks! Glad you noticed the Bu-cee's shirt-it's one of my favorites!
Dx is never my focus. It's a great bonus though and I'm amazed when the 26 gauge wire catches some dx
It's interesting how sometimes the simplest setups can lead to unexpected DX opportunities. Keep experimenting!

DX Heat is not a logging service. It is a DX spotting tool. I just type the information into the system. I use Polo in the field and QRZ at home.
@outnaboot ok, I didn't realize you added your call manually, I assumed it was taken from logging software automatically, thanks!
@ DX heat doesn’t permit self spotting
Buc-ee's!
Right? Buc-ee's is the ultimate road trip vibe! Can't beat those snacks while hunting for DX!
How about Jim in New Jersey ? LOL
Jim in New Jersey is a legend! I love hearing about everyone's experiences. What’s your take on the trick I shared?
