Great stuff Vinny. Just to let you know, the main camera pointed at Dee and Steve is way out of focus. It's actually focused on the camera pointed at Scott.
Met Dee in front of a Dunkin Donuts.. I was skipping school, he was there in his tour bus when he was on the radio in CT radio 104.1 he had a show, guess they were doing promotion for the show. As soon as I went up and said hi he invited me on the bus and gave me a signed picture. It was the best skip of my school career. Had to be 25 years ago now... Cool guy!! Love the podcast Steve O
Great interview with the legend, Dee Snider! We loved the Count’s Kustoms shout out and working on your rides, brother! Now you got us wondering how we would customize Steve-O's WILD RIDE...
It always blows my mind how down to earth and just a cool guy Dee seems to be. He's one of the very few famous cats that I feel like even I could sit down with him and just have a cool ass conversation.
Dee is THE man. My 5 yr old son has a pink and black Power wheel VW bus that we Painted the Twisted Sister logo on, and SMF on the license plate. It's his favorite band, and when I sent a picture to Their email, they were cool enough to send a photo and guitar pick from their recent HOF induction in Los Angeles. It made his entire year I swear 🤘🏻
Twisted Sister was my daughters first rock band that she became obsessed with. She was 2 when she first heard them. Dee Snider will always be a classic
Seeing a sober Steve-O. Smiling with joy while listening to Dee talk is awesome!!!!! So happy to see this. At one time I would not of thought I'd see this!!
Fellow skater & forever TS fan here, even though the music I make is electronic dance stuff. Thank you Dee & Steve-O & co, this was a super fun & super real episode!
SteveO is such an awesome guy with more life experiences than most of the awesome guests he has on his show. He is totally natural in this setting and a great conversationalist. His crew is pretty cool too. Love your show SteveO! Happy you didnt unalive yourself during all your Jackass years! Glad you're still with us.
Decade or more, ago, I was in a local Long Island metal/hardcore band and played a show at a bar with Dee’s son, who was in another band on the bill. Dee was there, shouting his kid on, he was super awesome and nice! I got to say hello and he dug our band! He has done so much for charities here on Long Island, and elsewhere - oh, and his sons band did a metal/hardcore version of “We’re Not Gonna Take It” LOL
Ironically, I met Dee (and Bam) at a comicon in 2019 and Dee was incredibly nice. There was a line out the door to meet him and he still took the time to have a conversation with me. One that he carried for the most part. I had a copy of Strangeland (his movie) for him to sign and he told me all about it and a colored vinyl pressing of Stay Hungry and even though there was a line out the door he said "I've signed a ton of these but I've actually never seen what the record looks like. Do you mind if I check it out?" And so he pulled the record out and admired it. And I'm sure he did that type of thing with every person in line. It wasn't just a quick hello, sign something, and onto the next. He made it a great experience for everyone.
@whistler1267 imagine writing edge lord poetry, getting kicked out of school for it, then Dee Snyder reads some of it on air and bashes you for it so he can boost his career The dude is a parasite
TWISTED SISTER “ STAY HUNGRY @ got that vinyl at Christmas in 1984 when I was only 10 years old, still got that legendary album and love it, that was the first heavy rock album I got… Thanks for great content Steve O and crew Copenhagen 🇩🇰 supports
I’m feeling so thankful that Dee Snider is a Rocker! Listening to him I’ve been educated so proud when I watched him speaking to congress. New meaning “Never judge a book by its cover” Rock On!
I'm going to continue to call Steveo out for shilling a gambling service even though he's a recovering addict. He doesn't give a shit about others with problems if he can still benefit from them.
Gotta say man, kinda dissapointed to see you promoting gambling sites, especially being so open and honest about your own addictions. Gambling is one of the worst addictions of them all.
Twisted Sister and Motley Crue were the 1st 2 rock bands i ever got into used to have the walls of my room covered in pictures of Dee id cutout of mags like Metal Edge and Hit parader when i was 12 I still rockout to the Sister i saw their documentary and highly recommend it Total respect and well wishes to dee the rest of the band and their families rock on❤
Long time Twisted Sister Dee Snider fan. Haven't heard much about him in years and that was really entertaining. Glad to see he's doing well and great interview Steve-O
Great episode! On a technical point, they need to move that camera in the upper right out of frame. It's why they keep getting blurred out, as it's what's getting "in focus" in the foreground
@steve-o’s wild ride- podcast I remember i was 13 years old and first show I saw in a club was Twisted Sister a club called ‘Rockaway’s’ two Hells Angels that knew me since I was born took me still remember it. Next day brought their single “I’ll Never Grow Up “ still have it that’s the best version of that song they put out of the versions but that one on that 45 is something else since 13 years old I was and shall forever be a SMF !!!!!
Hell yeah! Loved that scene in Pee Wee's Big Adventure. I loved that movie so much & still quote it to this day. I had a twisted sister record or 2 back then. Yeah, I said record. 😂 Vinyl baby. I remember that big old bone on the cover of the record 😂
I finally found the time to watch this weeks episode. Next couple of weeks are going to be hectic with 6 exams, work and possibly moving house. Got my ticket, can't wait!
I am the creator of Tales From The Pit video magazine. While we are more thrash metal oriented (Slayer, Exodus, anthrax, Megadeth, Metallica) I’m a huge Twisted Sister fan. Would love to do an on camera in person interview the next time you’re in the SF Bay Area, Dee. I just recently ran into you a couple of years ago at Craig’s on Melrose when Super Bowl was in LA. We spoke briefly but you were all masked up and covid shy. 😂 Saw Twisted Sister in 1984 with Ratt, Cheap Trick and Lita Ford at Summerjam in Kingston NH. Loved the in between rants and jokes about cows. Been a fan ever since. Also saw you open for Maiden on their Somewhere in Time tour. Worcester centrum. Love your newer stuff as well. Very heavy. I did a documentary on The Mentors and Vio-lence as well. 😂
I had no idea he even went broke, he never fell from grace in the rock world. What makes him a rock star is the way he values his family! We all live and learn if we're given the chance.
I knew Twisted Sister before they made it big. I used to always see them and hang with some of the guys before their gig started…playing pinball with AJ ..not what you think lol I recently found a great pic I took of Dee back then and got him to sign it because I knew they were going to go far. Decades later they played in PA and I held up a sign that got Dee’s attention and he stopped and said “I remember you! How ya doing darlin?” Their families were in the wings at that show. A really cool moment. Love seeing that people who paid their dues go onto great success.
Dee is one of the most arrogant rock stars I’ve ever listened to. He annoyingly toots his own horn. I don’t understand why so many people on here can’t see it.
Love Love Love this podcast. My Dad used to love the Twisted Sister videos when they were on MTV. I was in high school and thought that was pretty cool. Great interview Steve O!!
I remember watching Twisted Sister on MTV back in the mid 80's and my parents would say you like this? I would say hell yeah. Great times back in the early eighties with the start of the popularity of Heavy Metal.

I also him being a freaking straight up hero during the prmc court battles, people have no clue heavy metal was actually on trial at one point and dee stood strong and tall, articulate like a professor , was awesome to see that on the news nightly .
He also played in a pretty wild movie called strangeland i believe, pretty good movie, been awhile since seeing it but i remember he played the role really well.
I concur, Davis was great on this show. He is a man who has seen some shit and lived a interesting life, I think he might have some mk ultra background being that his family were entertainers.
I absolutely love Dee Snider ... He's a legend that takes no shit...Ive seen him and his wife Suzette many times riding their bikes around Venice Beach... Twisted Sister forever.....Wake up the Sleeping Giant
I had that censored Kid Rock album. It was really funny. I do remember people really liked the sticker. It was a label of authenticity that a lot of really mediocre bands profited off of. My friend down the road had the uncensored version and it had a whole extra song and the disc art had his middle finger on it.
Great interview..!,....i watched most of it in one sitting,too.....Dee's music still resinate's to this day...(radio, movies.sporting events,etc)...i was about 19 when that hit song came-out (W-N-G-T-IT!)..back in 83....lotta great memories...!
You know I've spoken with d a few times at various fangoria conventions and things like that, and he's such a down-to-earth dude for a guy who's LED such an extraordinary life. He's very approachable as long as you are respectful and he's always good to talk some shop, he likes Tech questions and he's quite knowledgeable in a lot of different areas so it's always a good conversation. I was there as a film composer at the time, so we talked a bit about Strange Land and some of his other endeavors cinematically. But one of the things you come away from with a conversation with him is what an incredible work ethic the dude has. At the time he was doing the radio show with Debbie Rashawn whom I also find to be a remarkably talented and insightful person.... and I don't know when do you found time to sleep but for a guy who's never done drugs he really is quite a mental athlete. Nothing but respect for this guy this guy plus he's written one of the greatest love songs in the history of Music which is suzanne.... I think it holds up as a Burt Bacharach level valid and the world should know about it. Now that he's sold his catalog perhaps someone else will figure out what a great idea would be to put that song out in rotation again
I was so stoked for Dee to come in the van! I hope ya'll enjoy this one as much as we did.
🤘🏻💀🤘🏻
i’m sober & i love when you guys talk recovery, helps me out. just sayin. 🖤
Bruh.. your questions were on point. Right on

wow what an unexpected coincidence,.
Yes❤
Dee is a great guy. I met him randomly in NYC and he couldn't be any more genuine.

Dee Snider, the man that stood up to the man. I’ve always had mad respect for him. 🎸
A true martyr for the people in that point in time. Hell yeh🤘
If he really stood up for the man, he’d be standing up against these vaxxeens, not against the unvaxxed.
Dee's a fucking legend. Spiritually he hasn't aged a bit in a great way. He still gets that the system is working against us. That's metal.💯
Rapper Stitches made a song about putting cocaine up Dees arse
Yet he pushes the vaxxeens, and mocks the unvaxxed. What a rebel.
@skylesco5397 Dee keeps his glasses on so you can't read his eyes
I had no idea Dee was this down to earth intelligent articulate guy . He is awesome
Uhh….The dude spoke in front of congress. Google it.
Yep. He STUCK IT to Nancy Reagan! That shit was hilarious! @@billybee3423
Wouldn’t he be one of the coolest grandpa’s ?
Seeing a sober Steve-O. Smiling with joy while listening to Dee talk is awesome!!!!! So happy to see this. At one time I would not of thought I'd see this!!
Get over it, he's been sober nearly 20 years.
Dee is a legend, guy never touched drugs or booze either, like gene and paul, still very sharp mentally.
Awesome! One of my favorites. Wish show was longer! Certain guests like Dee should be on like 2 or 3 hours

Hearing how D talked about his wife was such a beautiful thing to hear. 🖤
I can’t believe this video has only 60k views! This was one of my favorites so far! Legendary.
So happy for you Steveo
So exciting you get to hang with someone that means so much to you. Great episode!

This was circa 2000/2001 btw
Pre 9/11 but pretty close to it
Dee's a legend and smart dude.
Dee also fought hard against people trying to censor Rock music. He testified a couple times for the cause! He’s legit!!!
Such a cool down to earth guy. He was the first celebrity I ever met in my life, and was so cool. Can't say enough good things about him.

Right on steveo I remember a while ago commenting for you to get Dee Snider and now ya did! What a great episode!!!
I've met cannibal corpse so many times they hang out with fans after shows great dudes
Just bring Corpsegrinder to the show, but not a word about World of Warcraft, otherwise he won't drop the mic.
YES, Steve o, get corpsegrinder on your show, the guy is such an average person despite the band he's in.
Ask George if he has any luck finding good Lego sets at his local Target
I grew up listening to twisted sister
This was a great one so nostalgic for me ❤

"they expect you to be a thing" - this is why i love steveo's podcast so much because it's a reminder that they're human just like us!
His film he made back in the late 90s is one of the most underrated gems in suspense….its aged pretty damn well too.
Love metal and Dee is an absolute legend, genius, and champion.

He is the only reason I listen to the song ”On The Night Of Halloween” by VOITH. Dee Snider is awesome, I met him, he was super nice 👍
One of the first TH-cam videos I ever watched was the we’re gonna take it music video. Changed my life
This is an AMAZING conversation.
I never knew the difference between a Rat-Rod and a Hot-Rod. Loved the Howard Stern talk too. Great interview.
Man stood up to Al Gore in Congress and checked him and his stupid wife live it was the most epic video I’ve ever seen long live Dee Snyder!!!!!
That was a long time ago, I guarantee you he wouldn't do that now. Now he's totally on board with the political elite and their anti-America agenda.
Thats so cool youve got Dee Snider on and great interview! Only thing is the main camera is out of focus and/or low res compared to the other cams

#35:46 gonna have to disagree with ya there dee. First amendment is free speech of any kind. Whether it's lying or horrible. It has to go both ways
The TS appearance on Pee Wee's movie was my favorite part! That whole scene was gut-busting!
PLEASE have Jonathan Davis back in person! Korn is my fave!
I concur, Davis was great on this show. He is a man who has seen some shit and lived a interesting life, I think he might have some mk ultra background being that his family were entertainers.
I BEGGED my mom to drive me in a SNOW STORM to buy a twisted sister tape. Best mom ever.
Without Dee, we wouldn't have had a Howard Stern, even if current Howard Stern hates his past self.
I went to American School of London a few years before, in the late 70's. Rainbow at the Hammersmith Odeon was my first show. Ears rang for 2 days...
I love Stevo's voice.. its so distinct
Dee loves himself 😂
Exactly. Everyone on here is saying how great and down to earth he is. All I see is an arrogant man who can’t stop tooting his own horn. 🤷🏼♀️
Watch Neil DeGrasse Tyson. This is nothing.
Rad guest, great questions as always, and I think I'm gonna check out the book. Keep it up brotendos.
