Thanks I need to put a longer belt on my gold . I installed a bigger trans drive pully to slow the thing down. The speed is now correct , But there is to much tension on the belt when the bale is let loose. Again Thanks !
On the one I'm working on, i see the belt running inside those 2 bushings on that keeper. I need to understand which is correct. My instinct says this video is not correct on that.
Good vid Rick..... I would have suggested while the motor was off the base plate to inspect the lower crank seal and replace it if it was showing any signs of wear. Thanks
Nope. The engine mount points surround the shaft. If you look at it for a minute, you realize that engine removal is the way to go. It seems like a big job, but with a 15/16", 1/2", 3/8", and 5/16" scckets you can get this done in 5 min. Takes me 30 because I like to check the crank seal and clean the deck and exhaust ports, if necessary while it's apart. Use the Taryl Fixes All trick of taking off the gas cap and putting a plastic grocery bag over the filler neck and replace the cap. No fuel leak when you tip it on its side.

Could the belt if it's long enough come off from the top after removing the flywheel gas tank cover.

Looks like it has lower crankshaft seal leaking I'd thrown new one in while engine was off the oil leak probably damaged the old belt
