Hi Mijae, Excellent video. Just wanted to say - Once you have the 4set bonus (pvp) you do not need glyph of lightning shield in PVP as damage taken increases your stacks. The original 4set bonus did not allow this to happen in S9 - But it was changed in S10. As we are running on the final patch you wont need the glyph. Didn't come here to bash you, I found your channel randomly and you seem like a super lovely & well informed bloke!

Awesome video thanks for the effort! Would you ever just have a macro for lightning bolt and elemental mastery as default so you're always using it? Does it stack with bloodlust or any reason to hold it?
Great video! I noticed your macro had on use trinket and gloves in the same cast. Am I crazy or did they change it to where there's a 15 second ICD between being able to use gloves and on use trinkets at the same time? Lemme know!

I’ve heard clipping isn’t a thing in cata but would like some confirmation on that.. does flame shock not clip anymore?
Small addition about flame shock. You can refresh it on like 6 seconds (don`t remember exact number) left and you will not waste those seconds, so you don`t have to wait till 0 seconds left on flame shock debuff.
You should be trying to refresh at the very last second when possible, less flame shock casts means more earth shock casts, RNG dependant of course.

I play Ele on the live Cata classic servers, and i noticed my fire ele doesn't deal nearly as much damage as yours does in this video. Obv you got Firelands gear so there is a spellpower difference, but yours hit for 17k non crit, mine hits for 6k, 9k with trinket, tailor, orc racial, engi snapshots. So with my calculations you should have around 16-17k SP to get it this high.
Do you think they fucked it up on Classic, or is that Pserver scaling wrong?
Strange, i'll do some testing today, but its been like that on multiple pservers so i'd have to presume its blizz scaling

Hey Mijae, if the Engi Gloves work how they do in WOTLK then it will be a separate CD from one use trinkets. Which will be nice.
They will move to the Cata system unfortunatley
Do you know if searing totem is bugged in pre-patch? It only activates if i flame shock the target first, but it wont shoot if i put down my totems before the fight like you did in the rotation. Lovely and informative video btw!
It is currently bugged, you have to place it down once youve engaged combat

The 6% fire totem is stacking with totemic wrath 10% atm on live. Does this make searing totem redundant then?
If you are the only 6% sp bringer its better to use Flametongue

2 questions: 1. Any thoughts on the Totemic Force build? 2. Using El Mastery on a lava burst instead of a bolt? Seems like a bolt would be the preferred cast given cast time.
Its only using El Mastery on the Lava burst on the pull to get it on cd, and get as many GCDs out before Fele for trinket procs

I'm a relatively new shaman and I can't find anything on that totems need to go into my 4 spots. I'm not sure so I'm trying my best to group them in a way that makes sense, but if you could go over what you think might be the best groups for each, that would be sooo helpful! thank you!!
Earth - Strength of Earth or Stoneskin depending on buffs your group is missing, i tend to always run Strength of Earth though.
Water - Healing Stream Totem, never really anything else
Air - As ele i'd almost always be running Wrath of Air unless i specifically need to run Windfury for group buffs.
Fire you will want to be using Fire Elemental with a snapshot, or Searing Totem / Flametongue depending if your group has the 6% SP buff.

At least this morning flametongue actually was stacking with totemic wrath still on live servers; pretty sure this will be fixed because it can’t be intended, but with the state of things it’s hard to say when. Great video, though!

We almost never do, its useless as Ele
Maybe a dumb question, but when you drop fele at Max cast range, does it go to attack or just stand there as it has a tendency to do in earlier expacs?
It has uses Flame Shock as a priority target now, if thats active it "Should" always run to that

Totemic reach could also be an alternative to the Damage reduce talents. In larger rooms that can be a life safer.
Also, what do we pay the Healers for anyway ?!?!?!

do you ever snapshot your flameshock? I'm told the buffed flameshock carries over when refreshed as long as you don't let the original flameshock fall off.
I dont actively worry about it as its a very minor increase. It should recalculate when you reapply it anyway
@@mijae1146 I'm told that it doesn't recalculate, it works like warlock dots that when you overwrite it it stays buffed as long as it doesn't fall off

Super rare, you'd have to LvB and Flame Shock at the same global for unleash to be worth, its very pointless for ele

You want haste to like 20/25% or something for the extra ticks for flame shock. Idk the exact breakpoint
Flame shock is something thst doesnt do massive dps, i wouldnt worry about the extra breakpoint personally

So during your burst right after dropping fire ele do you not want to pop unleash elements for the biggest possible lava burst? I noticed you didnt use it at all in your 1 min rotation
Unleash Elements is only really worth if you can use LvB and FS at max range to both land together

aye thank you! i was a 90+ parser in WOTLK but first raid night in Cata i was not producing a lot of dps, thank you for the clarificaiton on unleash elements and a side note you can use this to buff your fire ele
