BTW RM, guy that came out of the ambulance, has worked with Warren G and others. They don’t fall under Boy Band and they are unique in the K Pop world because of all they went through to get where they are. Plus their music, the majority they write and produce, speaks about things that other bands don’t. The fans, Army, go from the very young to people in their 90’s and are all different sexes and ethnic backroads. Thank you for your reaction 💜.
The views are so high because they are killing it! The talent, the attention to detail, and the editing in BTS/KPOP is not being done in the west. The interaction between the artist through live streaming and reality shows also builds connections. Lastly the humility of BTS (and other KPOP groups) is real and definitely not something we see too much of here. So glad you enjoyed MIC DROP, it's one of my favorites.
Mic Drop has 1.3 billion views. Thanks for the reaction guys. If you guys like Mic Drop, check out ON Kinetic Manifesto Film and you can go from there.
BTS deffinatly outgrew the "boyband" genre. They are artist, all 7 can hold their own. 3 rappers, 4 vocalist the potential and diversaty is outmatched. All of them have solo stuff and albums, mixtapes, variaty shows, behind the scènes, dance practises. Plus they are hilarious AF and thats why we love them 🔥🔥🔥💜💜💜
There has always been 7 members. 3 rappers, two of which used to be underground rappers (Suga and RM). One is a champion hip hop street dancer who learned how to rap after joining bts (J-hope). having 7 members in a group is actually not a big one. Some KPop group even have 13 to 23 members. They are all songwriters, composers and producers. They have been involved in writing, composing and producing most of their songs from their first album in 2013 until their 2022. Due to mandatory military enlistment, BTS are now on hiatus. One member already entered the military last December and just yesterday, another one announced that he will soon enter the military. The other 5 members are now focusing on their solo career but soon will also enlist before the end of this year. They will be back as a group in 2025. Their music genres include Pop, Hip Hop, Latin Pop, EDM, R&B, Ballad. Name it, they have it. Their fans ARMY are not just screaming teenage girls but people who are in their 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s even 60s and 70s. I'm 48 and I'm an ARMY. Based on the other reactions these two have done, I would add "More" for j-hope's "songs to watch/listen to" list. And I recommend watching the live versions from his Lollapalooza performance last summer for both "More" and "Arson." At some point, I would recommend j-hope's entire Lolla performance, as well as RM's live from Rolling Hall performance (and his Tiny Desk concert as well).
70 year old BTS Army here. These young men were encouraged to be hands on with the writing and composing of a lot of their music and all of them are songwriters/composers and most are producers. There are 3 rappers and 4 vocalists and they debuted as a hip hop group in 2013. Most were still teenagers. The rap line are the most prolific songwriters/producers of the group and all are now full members of the South Korea Copyright Association. Most other Kpop music labels hand their groups songs and tell them to sing it. BTS lyrics speak to many social topics and very little boy/girl love. Their music has been known to heal people and actually save lives. That is why they are so big. They address social injustices, depression, bullying, self love and many other topics in their deep lyrics. They have won 11 American Music Awards, including Artist of the year, a record setting 12 Billboard Awards, and have been nominated for 5 Grammys. Globally, they have won over 800 awards. They all have solo projects as well. They do many genres of music. If you want more rap, I recommend their Cyphers - 1,2,3,4,5, Ugh!, Daeng! Do not do the lyric videos, just the live performances! Army will be right there for it! Here is a link to my fave Cypher 3 "Killer" but it's not a newer one. I did not want to give you a wobbly fancam. Would have loved to find a non-fancam of "UGH!and "Cypher pt 3 Killer" at their most recent concert "Yet to Come in Busan" but couldn't find it. Turn on the captions please! th-cam.com/video/pxW3r_txgzs/w-d-xo.html Welcome to BTS! 💜
One of the many things about BTS that make them different from "boy bands" in the west is that all 7 of them are established soloists as well as being members of BTS. All 7 members have had their own solo songs/albums separate from BTS and have also had solo songs on BTS albums. Earlier this year BTS became the first kpop group to have all its members chart on the billboard hot 100 as soloists. While most of BTS songs are with all 7 members they also have subunit songs with 2-4 members on them. Sometimes it's a rap line songs with just the 3 rappers, sometimes it's a vocal line song with just the 4 vocalists, and other times they will mix the vocalists and rappers for a subunit. All I will say is when it comes to BTS people need to forget all their preconceived notions about "boy bands".
Mic Drop is BTS' response to their haters with a little flexing on the side spitting facts...lol. wuth Suga's epic lines "tasteless ratatouille" & "sue it". I recommend you check their latest live performance of Mic Drop from their Yet To Come Busan concert last Octobet where it was attended by 70k live audience and was livestreamed by over 50M worldwide causing the apps to crash from time to time You will feel the same energy. 🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯 Another recommendation is BTS dance practice videos so you can see the whole dance and appreciate the choreograpghy. That is what they usually performed on live performances. Thanks for reacting to BTS.
With their 7 members, these guys have songs with just the 3 rappers - RM, JHope, and Suga (shoogah) - like Ugh, Daeng and Cyphers 1-4...songs with the 4 vocalists - Jungkook, V, Jimin and Jin - like Truth Untold, House of Cards...and songs with all 7 members that mix their incredible talents together seemlessly. With well over 300 titles in just about every genre, not to mention solo works from each member, you would be hard pressed to not find something you loved to listen to over and over. Plus they have dance practice videos, 'making of' videos, their own variety show, vlives, fan made content, lyric videos and explanation videos for some of their deep and meaningful MVs...there are introduction to BTS videos, too. A few MVs like this one have recently hit a billion views as well. They are classy, smart, funny and extremely humble.
The love of BTS is actually based on they’re lyrics and the connection they have with Army. The first 3 members are Rap/Hip Hop. You should check out the intro by Taylor.
What BTS has that no others artist has is variety - literally NO one western music can do what BTS does. They have zero egos and support each other wholeheartedly, so they can make songs with all seven members, have solo songs and even solo albums, have songs with just the 3 rappers, songs with just the 4 vocalists, or a multitude of combos of 2, 3, 4 members....I never experience the ear fatigue I get with other groups or solo artists where you always hear the same voice(s) on every. single. song.... Plus they don't stick with only one genre of music either - they give us hard raps and hip-hop, ballads, neo-R&B, sometimes a hint of jazz, Latin-pop, western pop, EDM, anthems..... Plus wrap that kaleidoscope of music with pro-level dancing skills! Who else in the world is doing all that?!?
BTS write, compose, produce, dance, rap and act. They are compound of all elements in one package that separate from so called common boybands. They've been singing and producing over 300 songs in all genres of music and the most of their lyric are deep and meaningful. Their musics are inspired by books, arts, philosophers, psychologist and movies. They make fans to read, study and aware & appreciate arts. They even have story lines called Bantan Universe (BU, Bantan is Bulletproof in Korean) that connect from one album to another. By the way this Steve remix is not much different than the original Mic Drop. From a 65 yrs old Army (the fandom name).
Watch Taylor's introduction to BTS if you want to know why truly we love them. It's more than surface things or even just the music. 💜 🙂 RM & suga were underground rappers before they became idols. Glad you liked it
@@aidegarcia7461 can you expand on that pls? Admittedly I'm pretty high right now so maybe that's why but why are ARMYs shit? I know there's toxicity and solo Stan's out there but I don't think the majority of us are shit 😭. What didn't you like about Taylor's intro?
Thanks for your reac, if you interested with their rapline, you can check their live perform, like ugh, chyper, killer, tear, d daeng, etc, but their vocal line are the best too,
I always watched your reaction to the heavy metal side of music and I can't believe you guys are actually doing BTS. I myself was a metal head and loved rap and hip hop so much. Just learning that the three rappers grew up listening to past rap artist that I also loved made me respect them instantly. All in all, they just make amazing music. I can't wait to see yall react to more!💜
The reason that BTS is SO big is how they present themselves. They had a very hard time getting to where they are. The KPOP industry is a cut throat business. Big hit was a small fish in a huge pond. They often were bumped from shows and performances. Bighit came up with their own way to promote them. They recorded everything. They started a show called "Run BTS". These guys put themselves out there in a way that their fans got to actually know them. It's grown and grown and grown. They are just 7 guys that have the same problems and issues regular people have. They have talked about a lot of social issues like depression and anxiety, prejudice..... They promote self love and have a great message. Their fans are called Army and we are all ages, colors, religions, countries, genders. These guys have spoken at the United Nations twice. So there is a reason why they are so big. And talent! Nobody can top what they do.💜
You also have to look back to the Korean war. Our troops were on South Korea side of that conflict. We brought a lot of our culture over and took home some of theirs. Remember the TV show "M*A*S*H"? That takes place in South Korea. So there is a big influence and a long time relationship with s Korea from the west. North Korea has a stronger relationship with Russia. So it's a really interesting history lesson as well. Please keep watching BTS.
They put a lot of English lyrics into their music because English is the most spoken language in the world. Their music can reach more people. Most KPOP groups use this with that in mind.
highly recommend their song "Run BTS" live and the dance practice, Outro: Tear live, Black Swan, On Kinetic Manifesto Film and if you want some other rap stuff or vocal stuff just ask! (They are not a boy band haha we like to call them a group because they are not like any other boyband!) Also a guide to BTS by Taylor Nakamato is highly recoommended if you wanna know more about our boys!: th-cam.com/video/huV_yIdxZPY/w-d-xo.html
If you guys really want to know why, check out a guide (like Taylor’s or Rice Squad’s). There’s such a unique connection they’ve formed with their fans that we can’t help but go along for the ride. When I’m asked why I like them, I tell people it’s because I paid attention to them. Lyrics, beats, personalities. It’s all a plus.
One of many BTS AWESOME songs!!! This one is one of the first ones that really got me, for sure! I so enjoy their music, choreography, their messages, they are just simply INCREDIBLE! Thank you for sharing and hope to see another reaction!
My 7yr old discovered BTS in the summer. Me and her dad are metalheads, but one night at a bowling alley, she heard Dynamite and we (of course) searched up the song. She got absolutely hooked. Before that, she really loved bands like Delain, Nightwish, Abbath (his solo stuff), and Borknagar. My husband and I like black metal and symphonic metal, so that's what she's been exposed to all her life. I gotta say, I started watching bts videos with my 7yr old and I started to enjoy them a lot and even started listening to them and other K-pop bands in my freetime and I've really enjoyed it. My kiddo had watched this with me and she tells me that you must listen to Beomhan: ASHES or BTS Cypher 1-4. I must agree, they're great songs! I'm personally still learning who is who but I think Jin is very funny and sweet. My kiddo absolutely loves Jimin andshe cant tellme why but she just says she loves him so much..
BTS started out as a hiphop group in 2010 and debuted in 2013. Their inspirations go from Nas, eminem, jcole, epik high, Micheal jackson, usher and so on. There are 3 rappers and 4 vocalists. 2 of the rappers were underground rappers pre2010 and the third rapper started out with street dancing. The rappers were the first 3 members. Th 4 vocalists can sing any genre they want. They are extreamley versatile. Also bts are extremely different from kpop. Bts is more like the trendsetter for the kpop industry... but they themselves don't fit into that mould cus they did things differently from hehe industry standards from the beginning. They write and produce their own music. Most of their songs are about themselves and they don't have that manufactured boy band vibe. They are real people. I would consider bts as a musical team consisting of 7 different artists. All of them have their solo works too.
a talented "boyband" that consists of 3 legit rappers and 4 legit vocalist, who not only create music (each member contributes to songwriting /producing and can easily be huge solo artists), delving into multiple genres, multi-lingually, while performing/dancing hard, who also do solo projects AND their group projects...? nope. sorry guys, one would be hard pressed to find an American group willing to break those kind of boundaries and expectations these days (and yes, i'm American). that's partly why BTS is so huge. sure, they look like models (they're all brand ambassadors; Louis Vuitton, Dior, Valentino, etc.) and have their own popular variety shows and series (made popular via youtube, coming up from nothing, before they got famous), webtoons, animated series (characters they themselves created)...it's an endless rabbit hole of content to delve into. but their albums also have thought-provoking story lines attached to them within their lyrics and movie quality vids (kind of a hook all in itself). anyway, i'm into a band that's not afraid to mix genres and languages with meaningful lyrics/messages (globally relatable) - like addressing social anxiety, depression; philosophy, etc., as BTS is known for within their fandom. they weren't some highly funded, manufactured boyband either ("Big Hit" was once a near-broke label when BTS debuted; BTS's artistic success fundamentally grew the company to be THE biggest in the industry today), they are a group of respectable, talented guys true to their individual selves, who found a way to vibe (complicated and layered as that is for a group of 7), who became loyal bros in the process, while always staying connected with their fans. they grew organically through genuine hard work, good natured character, perseverance, integrity, humility and gratitude... and their music slaps! thanks for reacting to BTS. I grew up on punk, metal, r&B, alternative, classical, swing, latin - you name it! - and i love BTS's music and what they're about!
Since you like hip hop just know BTS LOVES HIP HOP AND ARE HIP HOP INFLUENCED. Check out their song "Hip Hop Lover/phile" where they pay homage to their artistic influnces. Also back in 2013 during their debut, they made an adaptation of JColes "Born Sinner" and named it "BORN SINGER". 9 Years later, they are more famous than ever and for their anniversay/anthology album, with the permission of JCole, they put it as the first track of the album. There's color coded lyric videos available on youtube and live performances as well
BTS is not a typical boyband, once you go into the rabbithole you will understand why ...I enjoy your reaction, Stay safe and healty...Borahaeee 💜🙏. Hope see another reaction about our Amazing Bantang boys.
Check out Rice Squad’s “Most Beautiful Life Goes On Story (2023)” video for an audio visual documentary and Taylor’s “7 Members of BTS” for text based visual documentary. Both are great; if you have time I’d recommend watching both of them.
If you watch their live performance of Mic Drop at the 2017 MAMA (award show) or when they performed on SNL, the drop comes where they do a dance break which is awesome. They definitely do it during the Speak Yourself Tour, so video or fancams of Mic Drop in concert they do it.
It’s really so fun to watch people really enjoy BTS song that catch them off guard. And just so you know, BTS is not a cultural fascination. Their artistry, their performance, their personalities, their values…..everything draws people to them and to each other. That’s what BTS ARMY is made up. We are a community supporting BTS messages and values and showing the world how amazing the 7 boys from S. Korea are. They impact our lives across the world in a positive, wonderful way. Check them out and you will understand.
You should totally check out some of their other songs for range. I highly recommend Black Swan, Airplane part 2, Serendipity, Ugh, Singularity, Blue and Grey, Daechwita, Persona and so many others. You'll be blown away.
This is the song that made me a die hard BTS fan!! I wouldn't consider myself an Army yet,as im still fairly new to their catalogue of music, but BTS was the group that introduced me to KPOP.its because of them I became A HUGE FAN of KPOP in general and Stray Kids,ATEEZ,and OOO...I love this group!!! This Steve Sooo mix is 🔥PURE FIRE!!!!😄thanks for the reaction! 🎶✌
Thanks for your reaction! If you are interested in knowing about what makes kpop different (and similar) from the West vs BTS being different from Kpop, I recommend watching The Rise of Bangtan- a docu series.
Do you guys want to know more about BTS? There's 2 fan made intro documentary :The most beautiful life Goes On a story of BTS, by rice squad; and A guide to BTS members: The Bangtan 7, by Taylor Mari. If you guys decide to fall into this rabbit hole we lovingly call BTS you are not going to regret it. They have a wide variety of genre like rap, ballads, pop, rnb Latin pop and more. If you meet them because of Dynamite and Butter well, you are in for a big surprise. They're songs talk about society issues, mental health, self love , social pressure and of course clap back to haters. 🇲🇽💜💜💜💜💜💜💜🤟
Please check out ON KINETIC MANIFESTO FILM, DOPE, IDOL, NOT TODAY and many more. Thanks for checking out BTS. The7 members have 3 rappers and 4 vocalists. They have 3 English songs- DYNAMITE, BUTTER AND PERMISSION TO DANCE.
The original Mic Drop has a lot less English in the lyrics, but the Steve Aoki mix translated more of the lyrics for the collab. BTS have a lot of songs that are more or less entirely in Korean, but RM (the leader and one of the lead rappers) is fluent in English and has an unparallelled ability to weave Korean and English lyrics together seamlessly to deliver MORE rhymes and punch. The rapline (three members) have all got stellar solo songs and MVs out there, as well as rapline songs like Cypher 1-4, the vocal line have their own purely vocal line songs (House of Cards, Truth untold, Zero o'clock) and their OWN solo songs - and then you have the ones where they all come together and produce pure excellence with vocals and rap intermixed and used to harmonize and ad-lib for each other.
Next... Fire as it is literally 🔥🔥🔥 Dope...is literally dope 💯💯💯💯 No More Dreams (debut song) No Danger We Are Bulletproof Pt. 2 Boy N Luv Just One Day Attack on Bangtan Jump and a lot m9re.
Sincerely i don’t think having a fascination with the culture made BTS as big as they are. Blackpink not my thing but many like them too. But BTS is popular because they are amazing . They write, compose and produce their own music. And k pop isnt a type of music but an industry . And im a metal head who doesn’t like k pop but loves BTS
The love for BTS that ARMY has is mostly because of the lyrics and for them. They sing and rap about topics like mental health, social anxiety, and even depression. I truly believe they are loved because they are truly genuine. When they were created it was because the founder wanted something different. Artists that are authentic. They write and produce their own music so it talks about how they feel and their struggles. It’s different from what you hear now. The motto before was music and arts for healing. I truly hope you guys dive deeper. My song recommendations would be fake love, black swan, and some of their slower songs like magic shop, bulletproof the eternal. Their dance practices are truly phenomenal. I also would recommend doing the guide to bangtan to get a better understanding of where they came from even about ARMY. They even write songs for the fans. It’s simply beautiful. Hope you folks do more I loved the reactions.
BTS was started as a rap /hip hop group and their agency switched them to a k-pop idol group. Two of the group were underground rappers since they were 13 years old. They write most of their music themselves. The second rapper to appear, Suga is also a producer. He produces for performers both in the US and Korea.
Regarding your UGH reaction 4 months ago that you turned off the comments (idk why), the song needs an explanation by DKDKTV to fully understand and appreciate the Korean culture and wordplays. We hope you can react to the explanation video.
Koreans are geniuses at taking anything they find and mixing it up to turn it into something new and creative and and interesting. They do it with food (look up Korean hot dogs and Korean army stew); they do it with fashion; they clearly do it with music. BTS is thus uniquely Korean. Americans can obviously relate to that: it's the same way rock music was created. American artists took blues music (originated by Black musicians) and country music (originated by Irish and Scottish immigrants) and turned it into rock. Does BTS release music that sounds like something you'd get from One Direction? Sure. But they also release Latin pop, R&B, EDM, pop rock, and even rap with a touch of metal thrown in ("MORE" by j-hope). They also release songs that are pure summertime pop, like "Dynamite." So "boy band" is a pretty terrible category to put them in. If you want, you can find out how immensely broad and creative their work is. You could also just listen to their rap heavy tracks, if that's what you like: "UGH!", any of the Cypher series, "Outro: Tear." Those are all rap tracks performed by only the three rappers, leaving out the four singers. BTS is the biggest band on the planet. Not the biggest boy band; not the biggest Korean band; the biggest band, period. A couple of years ago they set the record for the fastest time for a musical group to chart four #1 albums, breaking a record that was held by the Beatles: www.forbes.com/sites/hughmcintyre/2020/03/06/bts-has-charted-four-no-1-albums-faster-than-any-group-since-the-beatles/?sh=7313cf674711 They're the most streamed group of all time on Spotify, and Spotify isn't even in the top five music streamers in their home country of South Korea: www.guinnessworldrecords.com/world-records/643081-most-streamed-act-on-spotify-group (There's a separate record for a female group, but their numbers aren't even close.) They're the only act in the history of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) to win Global Recording Artist of the Year for two consecutive years (2020 and 2021). This year they came in second to Taylor Swift. She released Midnights. BTS released an anthology retrospective in June of 2022 with only five new songs on it. variety.com/2022/music/news/bts-global-recording-artist-of-the-year-award-ifpis-2021-rankings-1235189520/ They hold the record for most followers for a music group on TikTok: www.guinnessworldrecords.com/world-records/689809-most-followers-on-tiktok-for-a-music-group They also hold the record for the most Twitter engagements for any entity on Twitter: www.guinnessworldrecords.com/world-records/471737-most-twitter-engagements-tweet-interactions Last year Billboard published the artists to chart the most #1 songs for the decade (not the year - the decade) and BTS was at the top of the list, beating out Drake and Taylor Swift: twitter.com/billboardcharts/status/1587128535289921536 And now you've gotten your first glimpse into why that is.
BTS LOVE Hip Hop. The reason they are so loved aside from talent and the music is their incredible stage charisma, their bond with fans and the messages in their music.
1.3 billion on Utube views. BTS are our Sensational King's. They bring all, different genres and Definitely positive vibes. With their music, BTS Lyrics are deep and reliable to most Army's (their fan base) I'm A Army here, all Ages. BTS are well known around the world. If you'll like Rap, gotta get in the RapLine from BTS, they got 3 Rappers and 4 vocals. Awesome reaction 👍
RAPPERS in BTS playlist. The group has 3 rappers (RM, J-hope, & SUGA {aka Agust D} While some have MV'S, some are even better live (be sure to find ones that have subtitles cc's) RM : 1 - Change ft. BTS includes 7 members (3 rappers and 4 vocalists). The 3 rappers are RM, Suga, & J-hope, and the vocalist are Jin, Jimin, Taehyung and Jung Kook. They are past being a boy band and have really reached the true Artist level. As an introduction you might want to check out Taylor's guide to BTS. There is also the "Rise of Bangtan" documentary in TH-cam which is great, but I think you would need to be expose to more BTS songs to appreciate it. Have a great ride discovering BTS. You will definitely not be disappointed.
Yea, BTS! I initially wrote these guys off and had no interest, figuring they were just a bunch of pretty boys with handlers and deep-pockets training. I had no idea their come-up story from underdogs to kings, or that they are notoriously good people who have been so humble and caring toward their fans -- and that THAT is what has earned them such a following. Not to mention their lyrics and desire to connect with fans on a more real level. Mic Drop was a clapback at the people who had bullied them (and had continued to at that point) when they were still underdogs from a nobody company. People often mention other groups in kpop as being big or the #2 or the female equivalent of -- but reality is that BTS accounts for over 50% of kpop success and interest given to other Korean offerings. That is changing a little simply because they've made such an impact and exposed so many people to Korean culture over the years, but there's no denying BTS are the ones who kicked this thing open. People who check out the whole scene realize they really are something different and transcend the kpop genre, to the point where they've rewritten the rules of the game and forced everyone else to catch up.
There are a few different version of this. The original is all in Korean, but it sounds pretty similar to the Steve Aoki Remix... his adds some more electronica to it and the guys rewrote the chorus in English for the remix. There is another version with the rapper Designer and then they've performed this a ton live and at award shows so there are versions with 1, 2, and 3 dance breaks.
Thank you for your positive reaction 💜 Looking forward for more reaction videos Please try to react IDOL 💕 Blood Sweat and Tears 💕 Black swan 💕 On kenetic manifesto💕 and more
You guys should check out the raplines solo's : RM- Joke, Do You, Persona, Change ( with Wale) J-Hope- More, Arson, Airplane, Chicken Noodle Soup ( with Becky G) Suga (A.K.A. Agust D)- Agust D, Give it to me, Daechwita, The Last, Shadow Rapline- Tear, Ddaeng, Cyphers 1-4
I appreciate your thoughtful discussion. I'm not the right demographic to know about most of the rappers you talk about (I grew up in the 70's); the little bit of rap I heard never appealed because of the lyrics. These guys write about things I can identify with and appreciate. Also, they appreciate the fans. They're always shouting out ARMY at awards shows, in music videos, etc. I'd love your to suggest someone here that's similar, would definitely give it a listen :) The talent transcends language and cultures.
Rap line of BTS is awesome. 'OUTRO: TEAR' Live Performance - Eng Sub th-cam.com/video/UDuaJGYe8EQ/w-d-xo.html ‘Ddaeng’ th-cam.com/video/JuZwvYDQ92E/w-d-xo.html ‘Ugh!', 'Cyphers 1,2,3,4'
RM the leader wrote this song after being inspired by President Obama's mic drop moment in his final speach. It is also a slap in the face to the many haters they have had to deal with over the years.
Here is a list of their past mv's/songs.... BTS MV's Playlist BTS was originally a Korean hip hop group. Since 2013 they have evolved into a "unique genre of their own". My personal favorite "other version" video is "DANGER (Mo-Blue-Mix) , featuring THANH". Thanh is an Australian-Vietnamese singer. This song has a R&B vibe with some great lyrics added by Thanh. There are loads of their other songs including some of my favorites: “Dionysus”, “Ma City”, “Truth Untold”, ”Outro: Tear”, “House of Cards”, “Lost”, “Dimple”, “Butterfly”, etc. and their solo, rapline, vocal line, short films, comeback trailers, etc. not included.
Others said it, you need to check out Taylors guide to begin to understand why theyre so massive. Theres no comparisson with any other band or boyband. Theyre not a boyband, they no longer fit in that category. Also, unfortunately the songs that they did in english, like Dynamite or Butter, are their most 'poppy' happy songs and are the ones that made it big in the US, leaving people to think exactly that, that theyre just another boyband singing pop songs. And they have so much music, for all tastes, theyve been around for 10 years. And they not only dance and sing, they compose and produce their own stuff. I appreciate you giving them a chance. Just be careful not to fall in the rabbit whole like most of us did haha.
If you want to know their Hip Hop influences and why they rap in their songs, I suggest listening to Hip Hop Lover, there is no MV so you can look for a video with lyrics translation. It may also be called Hip Hop Phile. Thanks for your reaction, you won a subscriber from Brazil.
Baby metal has been around since 80s. America became aware of them then. Great Rock band EZO album produced by Gene Simmons. BTS's started out to be rappers. Cyphers!

BTS Debuted in 2013 as a Hip Hop group, and has a large discography spanning many different music genres. If you want to hear more rap from them, please react to Ugh! And Cypher 1-4. Most of their group songs have some rap in them. Their main rappers also have their own solo and collaboration works as well. RM recently released his album, INDIGO. SUGA (AGUST D) is well-known for his solo Daechwita. They are a great rabbit hole to jump into!
I'd like to see another "boy band" sing, rap and dance like BTS. BTS is definitely not a boyband. Thanks for checking out our boys. There are many other Kpop bands, and they don't have the achievements that BTS does. It's like in the 60's with the British invasion. There's a difference between The Beatles and a lot of the other groups that came out at the same time. Please check out more. BTS has a rap line with RM, Suga and J-Hope. Outro Tear, Ugh, Daang, are a good start. Put the captions on, or read the lyrics ahead of time. They rap faster than I can read. All the rappers have solo stuff that are more raw than when they perform with BTS. Great reaction!
I think you guys reacted to "Ugh" before which is a BTS song but that one was done by just the rappers (RM, SUGA, J-Hope) which may be why you thought there was less of them. Anyway, good reaction!
Bts is big bcause of their attitude That attitude is so rare in this world espc from someone who so famous yet so humble .. Its them, they did their best, down to earth, sincere and never ever act like so high, check another artist response every time they met them, they always said that they so humble despite of their famous, they spread love yet haters gonna hate 💜
BTS has been around for over 10 years. They have been rapping for over 10 years, and the members all have bachelor degrees & working on their masters. They have endured so much to get where they are today. If you really want to get to know them individually please react to A Guide to BTS Members: The Bangtan 7 by Taylor Mari. BTS love their fans (known as ARMY). BTS is a very caring, humble, & multi-talented group. If you go down the BTS rabbit hole I think you will see them differently & you'll never regret it. They really care & BTS ARMY are protective of them. I am so thankful my daughter introduced me to them 3 years ago. They have definitely made my life happier. We have ARMY in our family from ages 4-89! 💜
Food for thought- If you think about it, what could you call these hip hop/rap groups WuTang(9-11), NWA(5), Cypress Hill(5), Bone Thugs(5) ect. They technically can be called boy bands. Which is where it kind of started but in the pop genre instead. BTS broke the barriers and can’t be put in a genre because they are artists that continue to push limits and expand their knowledge of music without limiting themselves. I feel like the definition of the term boy band needs to be reevaluated. Especially since these men haven’t been boys Since the youngest became an adult 5yrs ago (Korean adult age is 20,7yrs by American adult age) and the oldest will be 30 this December.
Well said. Definitely NOT a boy band!
They are a boy band but, much more
@@jagentertainmentkc7718 maybe when they first started but they left the definition of Boy Band long ago they are just a band
@@mawbast1 Not even when they debuted were they a 'boy band' they were a hip hop group
"Outro tear" Live Performance is a must watch..

Here are some recommended songs for you to discover BTS' discography. Please don't forget to TURN ON THE SUBTITLES/CC.

Each member also has some solo stuff. If you are interested you can just search them and see for yourself.
Rap Lines:
Kim Namjoon (aka RM)- Wild Flower, Still Life, Joke, Indigo
Min Yoongi (aka Suga / Agust D)- Seesaw; Daechwita, First Love, Agust D
Jung Hoseok (aka Jhope)- Jack in the Box, Arson, Chicken Noodle Soup, Day Dream
Vocal Lines:
Jeon Jungkook- Dreamers (2022 FIFA World Cup Theme Song), Euphoria, My Time, Stay Alive
Park Jimin- Serendipity, Lie, Filter, Promise
Kim Taehyung (aka V)- Singularity, Stigma, 4 O'clock, Christmas Tree
Kim Seokjin (aka Jin)- Epiphany, Astronaut, Awake, Yours

Welcome to BTS!
Another recommendation is BTS dance practice videos so you can see the whole dance and appreciate the choreograpghy.
You might want to see the Mic Drop dance practice, MAMA dance break version for the 2019 FESTA which has the original Korean track. Very impressive.
But they cannot lipsync ;)
Watch Taylor's introduction to BTS if you want to know why truly we love them. It's more than surface things or even just the music. 💜 🙂
RM & suga were underground rappers before they became idols. Glad you liked it
Worst intro, it was only favorable for certain members, no wonder about army, their ot7 is so 💩💩
@@aidegarcia7461 can you expand on that pls? Admittedly I'm pretty high right now so maybe that's why but why are ARMYs shit? I know there's toxicity and solo Stan's out there but I don't think the majority of us are shit 😭. What didn't you like about Taylor's intro?
Thanks for your reac, if you interested with their rapline, you can check their live perform, like ugh, chyper, killer, tear, d daeng, etc, but their vocal line are the best too,
They already reacted to Ugh!
BTS has a song out with Coldplay. Chris Martin has been singing some of the Korean lyrics.
highly recommend their song "Run BTS" live and the dance practice, Outro: Tear live, Black Swan, On Kinetic Manifesto Film and if you want some other rap stuff or vocal stuff just ask! (They are not a boy band haha we like to call them a group because they are not like any other boyband!) Also a guide to BTS by Taylor Nakamato is highly recoommended if you wanna know more about our boys!: th-cam.com/video/huV_yIdxZPY/w-d-xo.html
Check the Rap line...
BTS Cyphers 1, 2, 3, & 4
RM - Joke, Do You, Persona, Seoul, Trivia: Love, Closer
Suga (Agust D) - Daechwita, Seesaw (live performance), Moonlight
J Hope - Day Dream, Airplane, Chicken Noodle Soup, Outro: Ego, More
BTS songs that have an r&b vibe...
Jimin - Serendipity, Filter (live performance)
V - Singularity
BTS - Black Swan, Home (Jimmy Fallon performance), Make It Right feat Lauv
If you guys really want to know why, check out a guide (like Taylor’s or Rice Squad’s). There’s such a unique connection they’ve formed with their fans that we can’t help but go along for the ride. When I’m asked why I like them, I tell people it’s because I paid attention to them. Lyrics, beats, personalities. It’s all a plus.
I don’t think anyone cares if you keep up with the lyrics when you are obviously vibing. Loved the reaction!
BTS is not one of the biggest bands in the world, it is the act of the biggest band in the world, and thank you for your response ♥
Steve Aoki did the remix...he just made it more EDM... but the original wicked beat is all BTS! Thank you for your great reaction 👍
a talented "boyband" that consists of 3 legit rappers and 4 legit vocalist, who not only create music (each member contributes to songwriting /producing and can easily be huge solo artists), delving into multiple genres, multi-lingually, while performing/dancing hard, who also do solo projects AND their group projects...? nope. sorry guys, one would be hard pressed to find an American group willing to break those kind of boundaries and expectations these days (and yes, i'm American). that's partly why BTS is so huge. sure, they look like models (they're all brand ambassadors; Louis Vuitton, Dior, Valentino, etc.) and have their own popular variety shows and series (made popular via youtube, coming up from nothing, before they got famous), webtoons, animated series (characters they themselves created)...it's an endless rabbit hole of content to delve into. but their albums also have thought-provoking story lines attached to them within their lyrics and movie quality vids (kind of a hook all in itself). anyway, i'm into a band that's not afraid to mix genres and languages with meaningful lyrics/messages (globally relatable) - like addressing social anxiety, depression; philosophy, etc., as BTS is known for within their fandom. they weren't some highly funded, manufactured boyband either ("Big Hit" was once a near-broke label when BTS debuted; BTS's artistic success fundamentally grew the company to be THE biggest in the industry today), they are a group of respectable, talented guys true to their individual selves, who found a way to vibe (complicated and layered as that is for a group of 7), who became loyal bros in the process, while always staying connected with their fans. they grew organically through genuine hard work, good natured character, perseverance, integrity, humility and gratitude... and their music slaps!
thanks for reacting to BTS.
Oh my goodness i want yall to react to their cyphers and all the rap.
Check out Rice Squad’s “Most Beautiful Life Goes On Story (2023)” video for an audio visual documentary and Taylor’s “7 Members of BTS” for text based visual documentary. Both are great; if you have time I’d recommend watching both of them.
Really cracks me up. Every rapper starts off with mic drop and never any of the Cyphers...
Quick introduction for you:
RM - Kim Nam-joon (age 28) - Rapper, Leader
Jin - Kim Seok-jin (age 30) - Singer
Suga aka AgustD(as a solo artist) - Min Yoon-gi (age 29) - Rapper
J-Hope - Jung Ho-seok (age 29) - Rapper
Jimin - Park Ji-min (age 27) - Singer
V - Kim Tae-hyung (age 27) - Singer
Jungkook - Jeon Jeong-guk (age 25) - Singer
If you watch their live performance of Mic Drop at the 2017 MAMA (award show) or when they performed on SNL, the drop comes where they do a dance break which is awesome. They definitely do it during the Speak Yourself Tour, so video or fancams of Mic Drop in concert they do it.
Guys, I forgot to mention that this song is played a lot at sporting events like football, basketball, etc. Very popular!
They actually reacted to Ugh! 4 months ago!
New Edition I think is the start of the modern day boy band and they rapped in their songs too. I’m glad New Edition and BTS met.
Next... Fire as it is literally 🔥🔥🔥
Dope...is literally dope 💯💯💯💯

BTS! The biggest group in the world 💅💜
BTS was started being formed as a hiphop group, and the singers were added to the group probably 2 yrs before they debuted
A couple of years ago they set the record for the fastest time for a musical group to chart four #1 albums, breaking a record that was held by the Beatles: www.forbes.com/sites/hughmcintyre/2020/03/06/bts-has-charted-four-no-1-albums-faster-than-any-group-since-the-beatles/?sh=7313cf674711
They're the most streamed group of all time on Spotify, and Spotify isn't even in the top five music streamers in their home country of South Korea: www.guinnessworldrecords.com/world-records/643081-most-streamed-act-on-spotify-group (There's a separate record for a female group, but their numbers aren't even close.)
They're the only act in the history of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) to win Global Recording Artist of the Year for two consecutive years (2020 and 2021). This year they came in second to Taylor Swift. She released Midnights. BTS released an anthology retrospective in June of 2022 with only five new songs on it. variety.com/2022/music/news/bts-global-recording-artist-of-the-year-award-ifpis-2021-rankings-1235189520/
They hold the record for most followers for a music group on TikTok: www.guinnessworldrecords.com/world-records/689809-most-followers-on-tiktok-for-a-music-group
They also hold the record for the most Twitter engagements for any entity on Twitter: www.guinnessworldrecords.com/world-records/471737-most-twitter-engagements-tweet-interactions
Last year Billboard published the artists to chart the most #1 songs for the decade (not the year - the decade) and BTS was at the top of the list, beating out Drake and Taylor Swift: twitter.com/billboardcharts/status/1587128535289921536
And now you've gotten your first glimpse into why that is.
The beat drop you’re waiting for at the end is in the live performances
You should check out the introduction to bts videos they're awesome and they go into detail of each member and important facts about them 💜

Thank you for your positive reaction 💜
Looking forward for more reaction videos

You guys should check out the raplines solo's :

Suga (A.K.A. Agust D)- Agust D, Give it to me, Daechwita, The Last, Shadow
Rapline- Tear, Ddaeng, Cyphers 1-4
I appreciate your thoughtful discussion. I'm not the right demographic to know about most of the rappers you talk about (I grew up in the 70's); the little bit of rap I heard never appealed because of the lyrics. These guys write about things I can identify with and appreciate. Also, they appreciate the fans. They're always shouting out ARMY at awards shows, in music videos, etc. I'd love your to suggest someone here that's similar, would definitely give it a listen :) The talent transcends language and cultures.
Rap line of BTS is awesome.

RM the leader wrote this song after being inspired by President Obama's mic drop moment in his final speach. It is also a slap in the face to the many haters they have had to deal with over the years.
since the re-mix in 2017 it has had 1.3 billion views
Here is a list of their past mv's/songs....

There are often several versions of the Official" music video.
The "Ioniq: I'm On It" is a promotional song for Hyundai. But you barely notice the car because the mv & song are so good; similar style as "Film Out"
"Come Back Home" was released on July 4, 2017 as remake of Seo Taiji’s song "Come Back Home" for Seo Taiji 25th Anniversary Remake Project.
“With Seoul” is a BTS song and film highlighting Seoul as a vacation spot. The original also shows them recording it. They have also done 3 other versions, including a “short” on 2020-09-11; a beautiful drone visual of Seoul (The Four Seasons of Seoul” on 2019-12-30, & an amazing drone visual mv on 2021-01-09.
My personal favorite "other version" video is "DANGER (Mo-Blue-Mix) , featuring THANH". Thanh is an Australian-Vietnamese singer. This song has a R&B vibe with some great lyrics added by Thanh.
There are loads of their other songs including some of my favorites: “Dionysus”, “Ma City”, “Truth Untold”, ”Outro: Tear”, “House of Cards”, “Lost”, “Dimple”, “Butterfly”, etc. and their solo, rapline, vocal line, short films, comeback trailers, etc. not included.
their live performances are even better
I liked the reaction! I might subscribe if you guys end up doing BTS content more often!
We appreciate new people react on BTS thanks waiting for more 💜
best BTS reaction ive seen in a long time, switch it up watch outro tear
you've got to do ddaeng and outro:tear by the rapline, and daechwita by august D. you'll love them.
Pl3ase React to BTS "Outro: Tear" live performance.
They're killing it as well. They are very good in everything they do. I think.
If you want to know their Hip Hop influences and why they rap in their songs, I suggest listening to Hip Hop Lover, there is no MV so you can look for a video with lyrics translation. It may also be called Hip Hop Phile. Thanks for your reaction, you won a subscriber from Brazil.
Hey TrashTalkers, you guys was amazing like ever I watched your songs and pls. react on BTS "Not To Day"
But pls the Choreography Version, their Dancing is Brutal Amazing
Baby metal has been around since 80s. America became aware of them then. Great Rock band EZO album produced by Gene Simmons. BTS's started out to be rappers. Cyphers!
Love the reaction❤ just want to say tath BTS is the biggest band in the world now😘

BTS is another level ..if you want to know more about our 7 kings ! please check introductions Bangtan7 by Taylor .thank you
I'd like to see another "boy band" sing, rap and dance like BTS.
I don't care much for music made after 2000 but I do think these young men have great talent. I love their dancing.
Ironically, in his UN speech, RM stated that music transcends language”.
I think you guys reacted to "Ugh" before which is a BTS song but that one was done by just the rappers (RM, SUGA, J-Hope) which may be why you thought there was less of them. Anyway, good reaction!
Best reaction, you really hit it hard and fking enjoyed the song. This is the 2nd hard core reaction. 👏👏👏👏💜💜💜
They have a very inspiring story "BTS from nobodies to Legends 2019"💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Bts is big bcause of their attitude
That attitude is so rare in this world espc from someone who so famous yet so humble ..
You better check BTS "hip hop Phile" and you'll gonna find out where their hip hop inspiration come from
Food for thought-
If you think about it, what could you call these hip hop/rap groups WuTang(9-11), NWA(5), Cypress Hill(5), Bone Thugs(5) ect.
I highly recommend BTS ROOM LIVE FESTA 2021 to get a taste of their diverse discography 💜 ARMYs, please give thumbs up🙏
Thanks for this BTS reaction and welcome to the beautiful and fun world of BTS.
