Great Vlog mate, I have been staying at the Melasti for years always been cheaper than most 40 odd Aussie dollars ,I was in the room you showed Great room clean Staff very friendly , the Place is run down (well was in 2020 & before ) but hey what do you want for the price The gardens are kept immaculate the breakfast is good. Thanks for the update..! PS; I used to take my breakfast up on that balcony & watch the surf
Thanks for the Vlog Murray. My missus and myself have stayed at Melasti on 2 or 3 occasions and are booked in to stay again in September and again in October for a week. It was great looking at the property via your video and seeing the maintenance going on. Keep up the good work and I'll keep an eye open when we are there to say hello if I see you.

We stayed in one of the suite cottages (the one right at the end overlooking the beach) in May/June '22 and absolutely love everything about the Melasti.. I've been staying here since 1996 when the restaurant was a little thatched hut right on the beach. It's grown and expanded but kept its old school vibe and the staff are wonderful. Suite cottage room 224 (first floor facing the beach) is the one we always book. Can't recommend this higher.. in the middle of the street action of Legian but a tropical oasis the minute you walk through the gates. (I'm not family, lol, but my name does come from the hotel.. long story for another day) :) Trish Melasti

Another great vlog Muzza, never considered staying there as seen a lot of comments on how run down it is etc and photos were old so didn't trust the place would be ok. Will consider this accommodation now for future trips after seeing this. Cheers

l have stayed many times at Melasti in the last 25 years. stopped going because it was getting run down, food at restaurant was terrible and staff were not very nice. you'll find this with alot of people. l really hope they have changed, as it's in a great location and big rooms were terrific. Property itself is fantastic, but the management wasn't the best. Fingers crossed it's all changed. 🤞🙏❤️

Hi Muzza, my wife and I are ardent viewers of your channel and one thing that we noticed or rather not noticed on your vlogs and indeed other Bali vlogs is, are there any service stations in Bali, I know motor bikes buy a bottle or two of petrol at roadside stalls, but where do cars and buses fuel up.
Love this vlog on the melasti, my wife and I stayed at the other melasti in Kuta, this one is pure luxury in comparison.

Stayed at melasti many times, a friend f ours who lived in sydney for a while then went home to bali is good friends of the owners wife so always gets us mates rates
I never usually comment on anything TH-cam; however I stayed at the Melasti January 2020 just prior to covid. The place was overrun with rats. Staff leaving garbage bags against the outside walls of some of the rooms and rats were scavenging. There was a kids fort that had so many rats under It I could not believe it. Laying on pool lounges and rats were scampering under your feet. Blood stained bed linen added to this luxurious Hotel.

Hi mate, would be good to do a story on your unfortunate incident. Haven’t been back since all the shut downs. I have been surfing over there countless times over the last 30years and seen so many changes. The sad change is the amount of thefts and violence towards tourists. Balinese are beautiful people so I’m sure it’s Indonesian from other islands but I still think collectively we should let them know it won’t be tolerated especially as they need us back visiting. Keep safe

there are very few people visiting farms in Bali where they have cows, so its not likely, but i would expect customs to want clean sneakers and clothes if there was any chance of contamination.
