  • This is a traditional dance of Paweny people. This dance is also shared by subsections of Padang, such as Ngok Lual Yak, Alor Kuany Kuot , Luach, Thoi, Rout and Panaru. It is rich in body synchronise movements that can easily deceive some viewers prom
pting them to try, but in reality, you will need some practice in order to perform professionally. This particular video is realised in memories of those who are still performing in this film, but actually no longer with us. May their beautiful RIP. To Paweny young men and women who didn't have an opportunity to see it live or didn't have the an odd to actually perform it, it is now your chance to practice it. Though the video is not of the best quality, the music is. My profound apology for any inconvenience that quality of the video and the editing may invite. It is me sincere hope that will enjoy this amazing traditional dance.

I am very proud about art and tradition of our forebears. This video, to the contrary, proves that no force, humans or otherwise, shall deplete and wipe our people off the face of the Earth. May those who put their lives before evil Dr. Riek and his mindless tribesmen, find eternal peace in the next world (afterlife). Posterity shall always follow our brave men and women wherever they are and may they find a peace of mind they deserve with our ancestors!

Our similarities in culture, traditions and norms have been always the blessing that we all shall never lose apart in our lives and fundamentally strengthening our society as padaang community of one fraternity and that is almost fueling the current relationship, cooperation between the three of us Atar, Panaruu and Aloor are from one flesh but separated by their geographical status.
    Greetings: Wuorrial.
