Am I the only one who first met Barack Obama on the Oprah Winfrey show? He was a senator at the time. I was very impressed by his dignity, class, intellect and ability to verbalize things. Oprah asked him if he would consider running for president. And he was a bit bashful at the suggestion. But she ask her audience what they thought and they were all for it. As was i. So I wonder now, is her pushing the idea what propelled Obama in that direction? Did she plant the seed that grew us our first black President? Here's hoping she's a lucky charm and can get the first black WOMAN president elected. I'm a white female boomer. Just in case you'd find that pertinent or something.
