I own a ps4, don't have the money to spend on a PC ( life got in the way). Soley bought this for the physics and no dissapointment here. Just grateful to be part of the ACC community now

@@bodyblow yes. Great on a pad. You will still need to play with the settings to dial out over sensitivity on the left stick to suite your driving style.

Is it easy to find races online on PS4, multiplayer lobbies?
I got a 1:59.990 in the Ferrari 488 around this track and I thought I was doing amazing. You are getting 1:55's while TALKING. Damn you are good.

I did a qualification today on Silverstone. I managed to get a 1:58.455 which in all honesty is a very good lap with 44 cars on track, a lot of traffic, got me into P28. Jardier got pole with a 1:56.352. It's like a different league. I'm just happy to share a track with him though.
Car setup does make you faster or slower. I use the default aggressive setup with the Audi R8 LMS only put traction control to 1. On Nürburgring I took in the beginning 2.01s then 2s then 1.59s then 1.58s then 1.57s then 1.56,500s and now my best lap is 1.56.130s but I know where to go even faster so if I push more and practice more then around 1.55.500 is possible for me. 1.55.000 is extreme max I think. My point is: how more you practice in hotlap mode with 10 Liters fuel how better you gonna be. But always stay focuced and try to know where you can push harder or brake later and so on. For me it’s like: No sweat no laptime. But once you get a very fast time like the real record it’s really satisfiying.
I’m so happy this came out on console. I’m now finally in the sim racing world using my PS4 for under $1k for everything (Seat, wheel, game, console). That wasn’t possible before this 👌
It’s believed that any game released 6 months before the ps5 (on the PS4) has a contract in place to fulfill a updated ps5 version

First impressions visually are that my GTX 1060 is still quite capable on high settings when compared to the PS4, which I am quite happy about. :D

Yes the slow frame rate puts it on a downer a bit, but the realism and amazing sounds make up for that! Still find myself being battered about in the first corner though in online races which is a bit frustrating.
lights at night have improved and the fastest AI emerge at Paul Ricard in the Porsche.
I'm hoping they patch the game to run at 60 fps by sacrificing resolution on the Pro at least. Great review.

Thankyou for the honest camparison to the PC version. I only have xbox one x hooked up to my wheel set and sim rig...for now, so id like to get this on xbox for now.
To all ps4 pro owners with 4k monitors/TV to play ACC with 60 fps set your ps4 pro resolution at automatic start the game and it does not matter if you are at the menu or in track go back to ps4 settings and set it to 1080p and the game will run at 60 fps. This might work with the Xbox one X if any body owns one just give it a try.
Had every generation of PlayStation and Gran Turismo and made the jump to ACC. Oh my god what an amazing game. Took me a week to get up to pace with the AI on 85% so I’m a way off competetive and venturing online yet but I’m having some great races against the AI. Amazing game. You do notice the FPS at first but you forget about it pretty quickly the gameplay and feel of the simulation is so good. Had to tweak the setting in the Logitech G29 wheel and pull the rubber bung out of the brake pedal but it’s perfect now.
While I love this game, everyone is saying it's the first real simulation on consoles. Has everyone forgotten Assetto Corsa? It seems they have. It's virtually the same as the PC version, minus the modability of course
AC1 for PS4 is a great game. Suffered due to a lot of the contents arriving as DLCs and online lobbies also coming late
They're saying that because ACC is way over AC even PC, so the same in consoles
@ exchanging F1s, prototypes and road cars for even more GT3 cars is a shitty deal. I get the idea of a very detailed class is nice but it's the most boring one. I won't make the switch, not worth it.

I think Assetto Corsa Competizione overall is good, but it clearly isn’t optimalized for PS4 like Gran Turismo Sport is. This gives the game too much lag, which is unfortunate for a sim which has great physics and graphics. I hope they will fix this quickly. Another issue with ACC is that it has very few important settings (no calibration for steering wheel and pedals & no POV settings) or settings in which you can personalize your HUD. In fact the basics (physics and graphics) are great, but it needs to have a lot of updates to make this sim better to use and optimal for PS4. In any case, it’s great we finally have another sim on PS4👍
I have just installed ACC in my PS4. I started playing GT Sport and AC few months ago, it does feel like a a massive leap in terms of quality, feedback and realism. It's indeed more challenging, but I feel like it will allow me to focus on something to grow on instead of having a huge amount of possibilities. I only wish it had Interlagos on, kinda fan of my own home turf. And great content, mate, keep it up! Cheers from Brazil

Regarding the night racing and visibility, I'm wondering what screen type you used? As on console many would be using a TV and not a monitor, from that a lot more TV's are HDR so a lot more detail would probably be visible for nighttime racing when using a TV over a gaming monitor?
The problem for me is not the 30 fps
Is that the ffb is horrible on g920
Even at 100% i have no informations on the wheel he is too light

Sure that was perfect in AC... If there is something that I hate of AC in ps4 with g29 is the force feedback which is very too low... And it not the wheel since if you stay at 0 km/h and you turn the wheel is very hard, as sson as you move it is very light. In addition g29 with project cars 2 and dirt rally are good enough. Therefore it the use that kunos does of the g29 which is very poor... I see that in ACC is even worst!... I hope in a fix...
My G920 doesn’t even work
I'm using a G29 and have the same issue. It's not the FFB isn't there...it's that it feels inversed. It seems to pull you in to corners rather than offer resistance.

I have no sense of grip or centrifugal on the wheel...thrustmaster t150..others whith dif wheels have the same problem... wheel on turns actually pulls you inside of the corner instead of pulling you out...insane...how do i fix that?..anyone noticed that??..
Hey mate new subscribers been having a crack at ACC have the ps4 pro and the GT wheel also play GT sport nations and manufacturers battling this set up but enjoying it so much at just on 66 yo never grow up lol

I can understand why people are comparing this to GT Sport, I have both and yes the graphics are better in GT Sport..however, ACC is such a superior game for GT3 content than any other driving game on the console. I have GT Sport, PC2, Assetto Corsa and none of them are anywhere near ACC when it comes to pure driving.....I love it and I'm more than willing to put up with the frame rate for this game. I run it on a PS4 Pro and it isn't that bad. None the less, hopefully as a community we can all play together on our respective devices in the future and have great fun doing it......get practicing people because Jardier will kick our asses otherwise!

I have it on PC. I just bought it on PS4 and tried it. IF YOU ARE GOING FROM PC to console... you're not gonna like this game much. There is quite a bit you lose if you make that change.
HOWEVER - If you do not a PC, Like many out there, and a console is all you have. I STRONGLY URGE YOU to get this game if you are a fan of motorsport. You will not miss anything. This game is TRULY amazing.
This is merely a PC vs Console issue. They just don't compare. But the game IS amazing on either

Man this game is a disaster with a controller. I’m in serious trouble with it right now. Been trying for over eight hours to get the correct Controls. But it’s nowhere near. The balance between High speed and low speed is just impossible for me to get right.

am i the only one having the pit stop bug? Every time I wait the 30 seconds of the pit stop and proceed to leave the pit lane, the game disqualify me from the race for "speeding" even tho I'm going at 49 km/h (the pit lane speed limit). It's very annoying cause I can't complete races with pit stops in it..
And another bug/error, whenever I try to join the multiplayer the game crashes and I'm forced to restart the game..I'm kinda disappointed

I cranked up to 100 the FFB Gain and the Road Detail and you get a lot of fight out of a T300. It's a real workout.

On ps4 pro is a mess. I can accept 30fps, but stable and with a good timing. As it is is only dangerous for my eyes

I was able to play and have fun on controller (PS4) with a feel tweaks on control settings
I can't see why they should wait to launch on PS5 if they only have to change de graphic seettings basically
The wheel lag put me off buying it. And i adore the original AC on PS4. Not being able to adjust the cockpit cam also put me off. If they fix that stuff I'll buy. Can you adjust FOV?
Also, this was the best review I've seen of the PS4 version of the game.
PS4 is also a 10 years old piece of hardware... so, can't expect too much of it. Give it break guys, it's not that bad common. About the 30 FPS nothing much they can do (priority is to have similar physics to PC! graphics is secondary)
Does the PS version have all the same settings which exists in PC? Are you able to fine tune the drivers screen view (seat height / distance)? Good review!
On the PS4 version there is no option to adjust seat or FOV.
So happy it is on console now! Got it the day it came out but man it is much more challenging than PC2. Quick question, do I increase my tire pressure to decrease understeer?

Please help. My graphics are absolute shit. I keep missing breaking points and apex due to quality. Cars in review Mirror are horrible pixels. Is there settings to adjust quality. On a PS4 pro.
Don't get me wrong dude but why would you try to do hot laps while explaining us something? What's the point behind that? Showing off your abilities? Don't get me wrong, multitasking is such a great ability for those who can do it but there's really no need for that in this case. You could have talked while looking at us and to play the game later or simply show a replay or something but not talk and drive at the same time.

I loved Project cars2. But it looks like they sold out big time for PrC3 and just made a grid game for codemasters. Are there any Project Cars 2 players that bought this and how does it compare. ( I'm aware of the lack of cars and classes offcourse)

Physics feel a lot better than GT Sport to be honest. And also Competizione give a much better sense of speed. Really surprised how good it is on the ps4. One thing that bothers me is the steering wheel in cockpit view while playing with a DS, it then looks ridiculous. Really needs to be patched. With my G29 wheel it's fine, but for a quick game I don't want to bother with setting up my wheel :)

did you launch the game with the wheel? if you launch/start the game with the pad, the wheel won't work in the game
Cri Fra yes I’ve tried launching the game both with the wheel and the pad and nothing seems to be working. The buttons on the wheel are working in game but the steering and pedal inputs aren’t doing anything

@@Jardier Tried moving it, stripped and cleaned it, have 2 external fans blowing on it, still can't do more than 2 laps before blue screen and overheating warning, other games are ok, hopefully will be better on PS5
@@trevorwaite6848 Same issue. Really annoying but will see as its very hot atm where I live so maybe thats a factor and hasnt been a factor until today which was very hot outside.
A quick update...the heat sink between fan and PSU was clogged with 6 yrs of dust! All good now.
People slating the game hasn't anybody heard of updates every game on ps4 releases with flaws the only gripe I have on some tracks the game looks nice and on other tracks it looks fuckin shite bit like the original ac another thing is I don't think it's as good as project cars 2 in any way id say if you have the original ac and project cars 2 I wouldn't buy this tbh

PC is total winner.
PS4 is a low - mid setting on PC, and have only 30FPS(my eyes it hurts, on my PC i have usualy 100-120 fps with this game), but sounds, physics, etc..., is very good.
For me wait for PS5.

its better on ps4 pro..standard ps4 not so much....im even playing with controller i beat my roommate and he using the wheel. the night time with rain is perfectly fine on ps4 pro.plus we need to remember that this game just came out on consoles. they will fix the game up (or patch) to make the game look better. i love this game.

The steerimg lag and brakimg lag and who knows what lag makes this game rubbish . umtil a proper update . which is a shame cause this game has awesome potential. i looked forward to this sim on ps4 to but i cant stand the lag so back to gt sport
The standard PS4 and Xbox is about 130 Euros now. This zoomed in cockpit for faster lap times that most sim racers use is a disgrace. You want simulation and you cheat a realistic view. Your PC is about 20 times the money. Does anybody have a PS4 Pro or an XB1X doing these horrid reviews. Esport? There is the problem. Games are for fun and not money or ways to cheat.
Zoomed in? It's just proper perspective. This form of game isn't designed for console. Just be happy you're getting a version of it. There's no cheating going on on PC, it's just realism.

Most of the Negative criticism is coming from toxic pc players. For those who have an original PS4 and don’t want to spend over 1000 on a new pc when the next gen consoles are about to be released. It runs smooth, the graphics are the same as pc2 but the feel of the game is just incredible. This game is amazing! PERIOD!
That's exactly my situation man. I have the money in the bank for my PS5 but I need to wait.. In the meantime this is getting some glorious last days out of my 7 year old PS4.
30 fps. Everyone is making it's like a big deal. I have a slight corrective for my glasses. I rarely ever wear them. I think the graphics are amazing. Just like almost every game I see. I think it drives and sounds incredible. I love the game!!!!!
I don't see anything bad about the game at all. PC elitists just love to disparage console racing sims. It's funny how quick they are to tell you how bad the graphics are, even though they are 1000 times better than iRacing and rFactor. But when you bring up the topic of iRacing and RF2's crappy graphics, they tell you that graphics aren't important.
For me the game doesn't look bad at all. It's the input lag on ps4 that puts me off. Feels like i wasted money if they don't fix this.

No assists (of course ABS and TC), 640 degree rotation, 90 Force feedback strength, 90 damping, rest default :)
You should try on Xbox One S. Unfortunately, it's not good. constant frame drops, graphic is terrible, the old Assetto Corsa has a better graphic than this one. I can not see taillights of the guy in front if I'm standing 20 meters behind. The marble on the track are a constant pain; no realistic shadows; no good render of the rims, rearview mirror useless. At the end, not a pleasant experience for the eyes.
I hope Kunos will give us quick answers and fix it as soon as possible.
(of course, there are other problems like: FOV, no possibility to adjust wheel and pedals etc.. but it's part of the game and everyone on every console have them, but the graphic I've seen is different from console to console, hope this helps)

@@justfox4606 i am on xbox S and works perfect, i think FPS drops depend on your TV, most of people who have issue is who owns qled tv. I have a 55 hdr 4k Phillips ambilight and i can tell you with the picture of tv set to monitor or game i did not had a single fps drops or lag, so you should try change your tv picture setting, remeber the tv do post processing of the picture so if is not set correctly you will have lag and is due the tv not the game.

THANK YOU! Finally someone talking sense about this game. Great review Jardier, personally as a console player I'm enjoying it so much and I can't wait to continue to push and get better at it. The game is a load of fun and perfectly playable and I haven't experienced a single bad frame skip that so many are saying is constant for them. Playing on an Xbox One X and having next to no issues performance wise. They just NEED to fix the wheel compatibility issues.
One of the things that struck me are the insanely fast loading times, I have a 1tb m.2 nvme ssd and we are talking between 3 and 4 seconds.
I hope they add the FOV option in the future for consoles but I'm happy you guys have got to play ACC it's a fantastic game especially on PC and I hope the console versions get an fps fix.

I think that everyone who is used to playing with a controller will still enjoy this game. However, it will take more adjustment in settings to get it just right. Still the best sim on console by far! Thanks for the review Jardier.
This game would be perfect on ps4 if the frame rate was improved my first impressions of this game is the physics and driving is amazing very similar to iRacing and rfactor it’s just the frame rate

You won’t understand unless you played on a PC enough. After always getting 60fps+ sometimes even 100+. Going to 30 you can easily tell the difference and it feels so slow

Anyone haven't noticed the big big problem during night sessions?? Guys its impossible to play it on night time cause the car's flashlight doesn't work properly... We need to report this very big issue to devs, they must fix it, this is an Endurance sim so its unacceptable that problem....
Absolutely mate, that's the biggest issue for me on PS4, the headlights during night driving.
Assetto Corsa Competizione has great physics very good graphics and most importantly the best engine sounds of any simulator out there, however; the AI is terrible. Completely unacceptable. Why do I say that? As you may know; there are two changeable aspects that contribute to their performance on the track which are the "skill level" and the "aggression level". Beyond a certain point neither of these two would be something realistic and let alone acceptable for a simulator. When it comes to the skill level; once you pump it up to 96 and beyond you will notice that the AI will perform in an unrealistic way, so much so that I would go as far as saying that their performance will match that of GT2 cars. This is simply ridiculous. On the other hand; the aggression level takes the term aggression to a whole new level because aggression to the developers means that the AI has the right to push you out of the track if they are trying to overtake you. On countless times the AI has pushed me from behind on Barcelona because for a miraculous reason they take the final chicane like Formula 1 cars do, at light speed.
And no I'm not new in GT3. I've been racing in GT3 cars all my life and I know with absolute precision what is each car's performance on the track, not only that but also each car's weaknesses and strong areas.
Another major problem with ACC is that it is biased towards PC consumers. Physically the game looks good, it has reasonable graphics however, certain details on some cars are simply unacceptable. I'll give you a few examples: the shift lights on the Porsche 911 and the BMW M6 have a very weird look. If you look carefully at them you'll see that they are either hidden or each LED light was chopped from the middle. It just looks awful. Go give it a look yourself. It's hard to describe it here but you'll see what I mean. Another example is the McLaren's GT4 display. That one simply looks hideous. Somehow they managed to stretch out the text and numbers from the display and it looks practically unreadable. Another problem is that you can't adjust the cockpit view. For a reason that I will never understand they thought that it was a great idea to only allow PC players to adjust the cockpit view. How marvelous for a simulator! Because of that I had to add books to raise my TV so that it would have an acceptable field of view. We console gamers also don't have a complete formation lap. This was another brilliant idea from the Italians. Only PC gamers can have a full formation lap whereas we console players can only warm up the tires for a few seconds before the race starts. Can you believe that?
My conclusion is simple, the game still needs a lot of work despite of the many updates it has already received. I'm not sure how exactly they see us console players but definitely we are not their priority.
I like this game, I play +-200h in pc, but my pc is very bad (Nvidia 1060 3gb) and I play in 30 fps, all graphics ulta low. ACC PS4 it's better > my pc ACC. Anyone having problems connecting to multiplayer with PS4 or Xbox? Seems to be a pretty widespread issue on console.
Are there any differences in LapTimes between PS4 and PC? If so, which one would have the pace advantage due to patches?
The game is great on the Xbox one X,the only ppl whining about it is the ego driven PC users who don't even play on console and then you have the casual players who play with a pad in chase cam who are used to arcade racers like Forza and GT Sport etc...
Is there a similar comparison of Project cars 2 on PC vs console....for physics, ffb, options etc? I notice menu items and car setup items are missing on the xbox one version.
I’m using a G920 on Xbox (top model console), loaded up game, game wouldn’t recognize wheel or pedal inputs. Found a quick fix but it’s a big issue on Reddit. Almost everyone using a G920 is having the same problem. ACC fix this please!

I’m really enjoying this on PS4, but I haven’t found one quick join lobby yet which is annoying. Hopefully that’s fixed in a future update :)
Joined a random lobby yesterday and it was total carnage and slow. I hope the safety rating is sorting this out with respective lobbies, otherwise you can forget the lobby racing
