- Today we going to work on this BMW E39 525d with the complain of no crank no start after stalling out . The car had blinking battery light , which have leaded to a dead battery . After quick look , it turns out that we going to work , with the immobiliser system of the car aka EWS 3.2 . Let's see , why the EWS doesn't want to engage , the starter motor . This type of headache can be seen also on BMW E38 and BMW E53 X5 .

i quit all the navigation system and install an aftermarket with no issues, but i can tell you a big problem i had due to water entrance the data buses were corroded and broken under left footwell due to water entrance so i couldnt enter the modules, airbag light was on, fe, and i couldnt quit it that way the car wasnt able to drive in spanish roads.
1 big question - where to get this code from? I have similar problem with my E39.
yes i do have enough pressure,,, my point is no voltage to injectors that my problem Mr. Crank

nice one. Im about to sell my e39 touring, and get my e61 on the road, not sure its the best idea as the e39 is awesome!
Not a big difference actually , except the interior and exterior :) The suspension is the same , the engines are pretty much the same , except on the newer petrol ones . It is not an bad upgrade . If you can afford to maintain E39 you will be able to own E61 too :)
yes, i bought this one damaged, so its not worth that much, a lot of the parts look the same, and parts are in the same locations.

По надеждно от това е само м50б20 :D Ако не те притеснява , че ще гори и няма да върви е супер . Както съм споменавал и друг път тези мотори търпят само оригинални датчици ( ключовите такива ) . Което е малко скъпичко , но като цяло са корави машини .

bmw x5 e53 3.0d crank but no start no fault code but no power is send to injectors mb ews blocking power
There should be fault codes if that was the case . Check the live data in the ECM , do you have enough fuel pressure ?
you can just short out the pin 1 and 2 of your ews. I did this to my e39 works fine.
What year? My 99 540i is doing same thing
@@chadb4537 mine is 99 528i. EWS modules should the same on 540i
I have a 2000 540 manual w the m62tu engine. I have a no crank no start. Battery’s good spark plugs are good. Starter is good. Can’t tell what it is, I open the hidden voltage meter on the dash and it reads 11.5 but with a new battery. Gonna check grounds and connections next and alternator if anyone knows anything Lmk please.
