Very nice. I've got a bit obsessed with Network Rail since watching another TH-camr's flying banana. I'd quite like the 121. It looks good. I joined an online auction today and ended up buying three sound equipped locos, 6 coaches and one off ebay, so I am not eating for a month to pay for them!

You aren't wrong about the heat, Danny. This heat has been way too extreme. I can't wait for Winter. Love the haul. I love seeing new purchases in big lots. 😁 Hornby can be somewhat spotty sometimes with quality but generally I find their quality to be pretty good. Same with Bachmann. The Excavator is really cool. I never saw one of those in real life until I visited the Severn Valley Railway. Not sure how necessary the tin box is but as a collectors piece it's really neat. Can't wait to see more videos. 😁

Great update Danny, really like the CAT Excavator. I've got a couple class 50's, just becareful when taking body off to fit decoder. Do not touch the Louvre Doors as they fall out. Well they did in the older versions, not sure if Ark Royal has these doors. All the best mate, cheers Kevin 🧏♂️🤝👍🛠

Hi. You have a nice collection of items for your layout there. I have 30x Hornby class 50's some fitted with the Hornby decoder you have next to the locomotive. Have you tried Rails of Sheffield RoS-218 decoders? I have found them better as they have "brown out" it's not a stay alive but offers some support. If I may offer some advice with the class 50, the installation of the decoder is this. The vents are easily damaged and I have found using cut up clear packaging from Peco points. I use these for the 4 points that hold the body on and very carefully the vents and loco chassis. Hornby used black tac to hold wiring to the chassis. This sticks to the vents and damages the vents using a piece of plastic helps. You might be interested as I have two spare Hornby TTS sound decoders class 50. Read my channel description if you are interested. Happy modelling.

The railroad Mk3 coaches were until recently Hornby's latest tooling, so very good value indeed.
