I bought one of these a couple of weeks ago. I agree with it not being suitable for spitting larger logs. What I have found it ideal however is for chopping medium to small bits of timber to feed into my portable wood stove / heater. Its also good for making kindling.
Awesome video! The Otacle A1 is a cool tool! Might not be a great outdoors hatchet, but an excellent tool! Thanks for sharing and enjoy my man! Keep it up!
I was blessed as a teen with my neighbor Nigel. He was the senior LeMans mechanic For Jaguar in the 59s. Taught me how to shift non synchronized gear boxes, break the rear end intodrifts around hairpin corners And could tune twin SU carburetors with a shilling by ear. So, wer’re trying to free the drive shaft on my latest acquisition; a Jowet Jupiter, Nigrl says , without thinking ‘ pass me the big Irish screwdriver. I hand him the biggest screwdriver. NO! The HAMMER! Then a low Sorry lad, forgot where your people are from. Your screwdriver needs dome TLX Chris Kavanaugh
Not convinced that I would give up my small forest axe for one, but good to leave in the back of the wagon - just in case. Assuming you can get it MoT’ed in time for the zombie apocalypse….😂
had several thoughts of getting me an A1, but the small saw comes in more handy; in a zombiepocalypse the A1 might be usefull against doors blocking the way for the antizombie-stuff, but not for outdoor i think... gotten me the carabiners (also otacle) - they are very neat, sturdy and usefull.. (but wooly - that standard-hammer could need some TLC...)
