Yea same I think he recorded it then put the sounds on the video so maybe that’s why it looks like he is not playing like ugh like lip syncing but he is not singing but you know what I mean
When I was 7yo I saw a bluegrass show in Carter Fold TN and I asked my mom for a jaw harp for Christmas. She got me one and I spent a week teaching myself to play it. Once I figured it out I played that thing everywhere. I need to get another one. This is amazing
I'm 70,..I picked up my first Jaw Harp in 1969. I was thinking of becoming a Blues Harp performer at the time when I was beginning high school. I still have that quirky thing,...it is across the room. It mostly depends on one's mouth cavity, to amplify the sound and shape it. The larger Jaw harp doesn't really improve the sound.
I'd be really cool to get this to one of those beat box fellas. They could probably come up with some really creative ways to incorporate this into a song
The large one has a sort of synthetic Mongolian/Tuvan throat-singing quality to it. I love it!
I think this was the instrument used for the title theme of the Lonely Planet travel series on TV.
it sounds like a very musical burp imo
It sounds like the Australian native peoples music
Both the singing and the vargan playing heavily use the obertones.
I feel like jaw harp goes hard with techno
There's a musician named Ummet Ozcan he does techno but combines it with traditional instruments like the jaw harp
It's basically ancient techno.
Probably why techno even had an appeal in the first place
I fucking dig it.
Metal over this.
I love the boing sound so much I can't decide if it is my favorite instrument
Yea same I think he recorded it then put the sounds on the video so maybe that’s why it looks like he is not playing like ugh like lip syncing but he is not singing but you know what I mean
My twin I have found you at last

Jaw harp players definitely have a look.
They have few brain cells honestly. Jaw Harps absolutely ruin your teeth.
The related video thumbnails confirm this😂😂😂😂😂
Who knew ancients could create electronic music without any electronics.
The big one sounds kinda like burping modified in postproduction
Smaller one is basically electro music unplugged
The big one looks like a medieval arrow extraction tool
Well what else would a mediaeval surgeon do on their off time other than drop a beat?

When you put it in your mouth, you feel like BEATBOXING
I never thought a jaw harp playing alone could sound so good. That's some serious skill 👏
The second one sounded like a legit beat!
Dig it!
Elemi, emeletes élmény téged hallgatni :) Nagy kalappal az utadra!

When Mongolian throat singing goes techno, it goes hard
It’s funny how the large one sounds like burping and the small one sounds like a toddler guitar. I love them!

First one be sounding like a splatoon story mode bassline lol
So this is the true origin of drum n bass
you can basically sing while playing it and make so many variations in sound combination
They actually both sound great
Back when dubstep was in the dark ages
It sounds like you could perfectly play Tetris theme on it
The 2nd one sounds like some dude with a cart is about to lose his cabbages 🥬🛒⬇️
