    4:38 This right here is the most important piece of advice for any musician! More important that what DAW, what controller, what plugin, all of it, any of it.
    It's so easy to get overwhelmed by the shock and awe of watching a perfect performance that we can forget the hours (days? weeks?) of practice that may have gone into it. Practice and dedication is how something challenging turns into "You make it look so easy!" Coming from someone who's played music over 30 years, every day is still a learning opportunity. Embrace the journey, learn to love the process, and the wins will be all the more rewarding. Kudos to you for showing not only the end product, but the process and the stumbles along the way!
    Subscribed!

    Hey Taetro - Big fan of your videos man! I think everything you talk about towards the end of this video (6:30) is so important, and bravo for bringing it up. It's so easy to look at a polished video or someone else's performance and forget how much preparation goes into it. You also mention being able to nail a session in 2 or 3 takes on a good day... but it's also important to realize the years you've dedicated to your craft and the countless hour of practice you've logged to be be able to perform at that level.
    In life, we want things to be easy and comfortable, but any skill or talent worth having takes years to develop. Anyone reading this who feels discouraged... every musician has felt exactly how you feel. Stick with it! The the journey is the best part. Every feeling of accomplishment and joy is on the other side of perseverance! Keep at it guys!

    • @Taetro
      @Taetro  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      well I’ll say this...most producers are not showing off to make you feel any type of way. They’re putting their best work out there as all of us do. If YOU feel a type of way after consuming that, it’s on you to be in a realistic frame of mind, know what it takes, and have an understanding of the process. Has nothing to do with the artist making you feel a certain way, has to do with you letting yourself feel a certain way.

    Often we see people do something and think we can't do that. Even if we are professional or experts. This is often imposter syndrome. We're looking at others' highlights and not the cutting room floor. But when we compare ourselves to them we only see the cutting room floor. thank you for these outtakes and letting people know you too have a cluttered cutting room.

      I was just thinking the same thing--but here's the sort of funny thing. I've been playing fighting games competitively for years & years, using ONLY these Sanwa buttons on my sticks (joystick controller).
      The last stick I had I tried the Sanwa SILENT buttons, and they were great. I thought the little pad they silence with would mess with the responsiveness, but it did not. I'm excited about this controller bc normal pads on controllers feel sooo weird and... squishy to me, I don't think my rhythm would translate.
      Anyway if they're standard sanwa buttons they should have quick disconnects and be braindead easy to swap out. This coming from someone who never--I mean never--does any DIY projects or modding or taking anything apart really. I'm gonna see if I can contact them about it.
