- This week at Ashville, we dismantle the gym. Loft Work continues at the Refurbishment Project. We have problems with deliveries due to bad weather and a machine goes into Limp Mode. Daniel flies to Germany, to see a new Electric Truck, dreams about opening up his own Ashville Gym, and goes to the Boxing with the sticker man, whilst Terry is STRESSED at the yard dealing with issues by himself.

Surprised they haven’t gone down diesel hybrid route. Still only a small working capacity for electric only vehicles. Still can’t double shift the vehicle or risk it on long haulage due to the uk infrastructure.

Terry, don’t use grease on the rail switch use Dextron 3 automatic transmission fluid it has detergents to keep the dust and grime from sticking. FYI 😊

I am surprised the likes of mercedes havent yet come up with the idea of truck batteries being inter changeable to minimise downtime for big haulage conpanies. Instead of having to charge it and the truck isnt making money, a smart stow and load system would be awesome

There's land for let in erith with a jetty on to the Thames, great for bringing in aggregates might be worth a look if you want to get another BSE on the east side of London
Most of the other manufactures are going towards hydrogen or ammonia engines now. Also noticed a couple of tipper operators in my area have got in house tyre fitters now.
Daniel. Look up Edison Motors out of Canada. They just completed a diesel electric logging truck that I know will blow your mind. Build extremely heavy duty. And parts to fix it at any truck parts center. You will be very impressed.
Thanks Daniel. Another interesting video. For electric trucks we need the system they use in Australia - take the battery out at end of day and slide in a full one. They can do it, why not UK?
Regarding the timber Bifolds.. tell your client that they won’t have problem with timber if they use “accoya” , one of the most stable products on the market, pretty sure it comes with a 50year guarantee. I’ve got a 4x panel set and they’re as good as the day they were installed (approx 10years ago)

There is tech being made that is essentially a big battery you can swap out on trucks, like back in the day when you had two batteries for your blackberry, if the truck gets low you just swap out the battery pack and now you got 'a full tank'.
I was sad when Daniel got rid of the London Taxi, it was great fun. He should have had a double decker in Ashville colours with their logos on the right.

For a quick fix get the Sticker Man to overlay old Livery on the Vehicle with the Ashville Logo, then in time when you have a break in schedule for it get it sprayed - not perfect but get 6 months of revenue - another great video and insite into the Business - have a good week MODEL BOY 😂😂😂
When loading sticky clay you just have a load of sand on the side then you take you exavtor and just cover the bottom of the lorry with 3 cm sand and the clay will not stick

In regards to the eActros, there’s a company called Gridserve that has charging capabilities for eHGV’s. Could probably get a few chargers from them for the yard

I wonder what resale values on electric trucks would be and that large battery is going to be interesting to insure. I am very sceptical how green these batteries really are.
Just a thought having watched some transport videos, is there anything stopping the drivers from sweeping the dregs of the muck away out of the trailer before type 1 or any other load being loaded? A better solution than just doing a one load trip? I’m not in the building industry, so apologies if this seems a daft question!

I agree for trucks local makes sense. But long distances there is already a solution: TRAINS as you shown far efficient for bulk movement. But they need more capacity and need good planning for rail to road transfer. Funny how history repeats
