I'm sure others have told you guys but Tim has a doo-wop album he has released 3 of them with video so far. He releases 1 a month. Austin released a few new one Bring Him Home from the musical Les Misèrables. It will BLOW your mind. Chance has also released A cover of Poncho and Lefty.
Home Free took this song back to its origin. It was in a prison movie the 1955 UNCHAINED. This was 10 years before the Righteous Brother created there classic version. The plot of the movie was a man in prison thinking about whether to escape and always be on the run or just serve his time and go home. Also he was wondering if his wife was still waiting for him. There do-wop style fit the lonely lament style of the movie. Tim has released a solo album of do-wop songs and 3 videos from the album are on you tube. Home Free cover of Lonestar’s AMAZED should be one of your next HR songs in your rotation. Stacey Smith is totally correct about Adam &Austins new songs. You gentlemen have a great night
Tim has released a 12 cut Do Wop acapella album and has dropped 3 of the tunes already. The song was written for a 1955(?) movie "Unchained" and their video reflected moments of the movie. Look for Chance and Adam having brawl wounds and Adam twisting his wedding ring. Stay safe guys.
Tim’s solo 12 song album, is truly amazing….his layering is too unbelievable 🥰👍‼️😵💫💥. He’s got his own channel too, & has done 3 videos from it…”COME WITH ME”….. “WILL YOU STILL LOVE ME TOMORROW/STAY”….&, “IN MY ROOM”…..&,MORE to come ❤️🥰‼️😵💫. He will blow your knickers off 😵💫❤️🥰‼️🙃
The Righteous Brothers had a big hit with "Unchained Melody" in 1965. It was considered blue-eyed soul. Home Free did such a beautiful rendition of this classic song. They did it in the 50's-60's doo-wop style. The video in prison is very fitting as this song was originally written for the 1955 prison film "Unchained". The film centered on a man who contemplates either escaping from prison to live life on the run or finishing his sentence and returning to his wife & family. The song focuses on someone who pines for a lover he has not seen in a "long, lonely time".
It’s so good to see you guys react to Home Free again. If you would, please react to some of Tim’s Doo-Wop songs. Like “In my Room” or “Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow/Stay.” You will be blown away.
I really like how the Home Free guys did this song. The Doo Wop is one of my favorite songs from back in the day. As already mentioned Tim did a doo wop album of 12 songs...Pieces Of Me...the three already released songs are...Come Go With Me...Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow/Stay...and...In My Room...(a Beach Boys song). All of these songs are Tim and other Tim's singing along with him. He is something else with the range shown there. When you have the time you will be amazed. Thanks guys.
The group that really got A capella back on people's radar was Straight No Chaser. They were a college Acapella group from Indiana University back in the 90's. In the middle 2000's, someone found a bunch of their old videos, and posted them on TH-cam. One, their 12 Days of Christmas video (a parody/medley) went viral, with millions and millions of views. A record company contacted the guy who posted the video and asked if they wanted to reform the group, which they managed to do. Guys who had been out of school for more than 10 years, and had careers, quit their jobs in order to go on tour and make some recordings, and they blew up. That kind of got people thinking that they could sell Acapella, and a few years later, they conceived The Sing Off, which brought us, Pentatonix, Home Free, VoicePlay, Street Corner Symphony, The Filharmonix and bunch of other groups, who, while not as much in the forefront as PTX, HF or VP, are still doing fairly well, and entertaining audiences all over.
The origin of this song was a 1955 prison movie called Unchained. There is a clip online of that scene. Austin's solo version of this song sound just as good. He dropped his video 1/14/21 while this one released 2/14/22, 13 months apart. BTW In the Still of the Night is found on Tim's Pieces of Me Vol 1. No video as of yet.
The Rightous Brothers probably had the biggest hit with this song back around '62. Elvis has done it too. Originally written for the movie Unchained backing the 50s about a man in prison who wasn't sure should he break out or wait and go back to his family. Hence the name if the song. And Home Free blew it out of the park. They did their homework. Thanks for the reaction
I agree with the folks who have suggested anything from Tim's doo wop album, as well as the Austin song. Tim's shows off his range, and Austin's will just blow you away. They have both also done their own versions of this song.
First, you would love Bobby Hatfield's version of Unchained Melody, second you would love Austin Brown's version of this song. They stayed true to The Righteous Brothers original. Hope you react to both of these. Bobby is the GOAT on this song.
I don't know if you know this or not, but there was a TV show that aired in 2009 called The Sing-Off that was made specifically for acapella groups. Pentatonix was on season 3 and won. Home Free and VoicePlay were on season 4, however Home Free won.
So glad you reacted to Home Free again! This one is one of their best! If y’all want more Doo Woo, check out Tim’s solo album “Pieces of Me (Volume 1) Doo Wop” He’s released 3 or 4! The whole album is excellent! Austin is still releasing new stuff, too! Also, Voice Play released their fantastic cover of “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” and it will blow you away! I will go check out some of the other artists you mentioned.
Love your analysis, and your humor. I have to admit, I NEVER thought that I would come to love an a cappella group. I found HF 3 or 4 years ago, and I think I love them because they approach their music as a vocal BAND. The other a cappella groups just don’t pull me in as HF has done. As for recent music by them, for Valentine’s Day they also released “Amazed”… Overalls has the lead and it’s fantastic… and “Make You Feel My Love”, beautiful vocals with a video that is a teaser for the female fans, with their usual humor.
Doo-Wop was mostly late 50's thru early 60's, what you were referring to regarding jazz was called Skat. Also, this song was written in 1955 for a movie titled "Unchained", it's about a man in prison who misses his wife and family and is trying to decide if he should break out of prison and go on the lam or serve out his sentence. That why they did the video with them in jail, it was an omage to the movie.
those bell-like tones are such a great idea! I like that Austin didn't try to imitate Bobby's ending. Both are wonderful, its not a competition, lovely
This is so good. It’s a cover. Home Free went back to the original written for a prison movie Unchained in 1955. It was a huge hit for the Righteous Brothers in the 60’s. If you love Doo Wop you must listen to Tim Foust (bass) sing Will You Still Love Me/Stay (a mashup) and a Beach Boys song In My Room. Those songs are so good and Tim does all the voices. He shows off his 5 octave range which is amazing. He has a whole album of Doo Wop. Good reaction boys! 🥰😀
Y'all introduced me to Tom Macdonald, Upchurch and went uphill from there, lol. You guys do a great job breaking down music - and enjoy your enjoyment of our acapella groups. It is really easy to burn out on certain music so I appreciate the variety. Thanks for the reaction as always!
This song will always belong to Bobby Hatfield. But no one has come closer to dethroning him than Home Free. An absolute gem. Oh hell. I changed my mind. Home Free owns this now.
Tim came out with a new doo wop album of 12 songs called, Pieces of Me, in which he sings all parts. Three of them have already been released: Come Go With Me, Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow/Stay, and In My Room. They are awesome. Maybe you can include Tim separately in your rotation of artist reactions. I mean, where else are you going to get your doo wop fix?
Home Free and their harmonies!! Such powerful visuals and a remarkable version of the song ❤️ I know it hearkens back to the mid-century movie and they portray it spectacularly, but I do hate seeing our guys behind bars. 😕 However, they can definitely "emote" through their music/videos better than just about anyone else out there!! ❤️🎼🥰🎶❤️
And Make You Feel My Love is awesome and has their fun humor. Thanks for any you do of Home Free. Love them of course, but it's your channel and you do what you do. Any time you do Home Free, be there!
I’m playing catch-up with you and happy to see this one. It’s such a haunting song, and their setting really shows that. Austin is trained musically in theater. He sings some very difficult songs, but he places the notes perfectly. The harmonies are always so tight and beautiful. By the way Matt, your pants look comfy! Thanks for this reaction.
Thanks for the reaction, I really enjoy you two. I am not very good at taking time to listen to others. But…..that is how I found Home Free, so I will make an honest effort. Thanks again!
Great Reaction guys! As many have already stated, Tim has dropped an album of doo-wop. Need to check out “Will you still Love me Tomorrow/Stay”! I do understand spacing things out but doing this one will not disappoint! On another note, I will be seeing these guys live tonight in Tifton, GA! Austin Browns’ home town!
Welcome back guy's... WHEN you have the time, please Check out Tim's new Album videos. He has thus far, 3 videos out off his album. I have it and have to listen to it every day. Tim does ALL the part's on this album.. You won't believe what you're seeing and hearing.. Thanks for your reaction
Check out Tim doo-wop album on his TH-cam channel. Austin's channel is also a great one to look at. Austin has also sang this song and many other. This song was song by The Righteous Brothers in 1965. Was nice to see you back with the guys again. Truly enjoyed watching your reaction to this song.
Every decade has its music movie... West Side Story, Grease, Saturday Night Fever, Flashdance, Dirty Dancing, High School Musical, Pitch Perfect (and probably some I've missed).
You guys should definitely check out vocal sampling cover of Hotel California. You will be amazed!!! And also Angelina Jordan, she won Norway's got talent at age 7. She is now 16 she sings in English like an angel and possess raw and pure talent!!! It would be cool to see you react to both!!!!
Like many songs, I love this one from Home Free. They just give it a twist that it will be a real Home Free song, but still respect the original. The whole thing is so amazing again. The leads, the background (doo-woop), the bass, the harmony, the emotion, the video where they bring back the "original" story, the black and white image, the shadow of Adam on the wall etc.
For more Home Free Doo Wop goodness check out stuff from their Kickin It Old School album. Songs I really I like include Under the Boardwalk, Blue Moon, Stand By Me, and King of the Road. Note that this from 2009, so it before Tim, Austin, and now Chance joined the group. The sound is a little more raw, but still great.
HELLO GUYS i think Home Free can sing almost everything they just cant be better then they are now,💞💞your reaction to Austin was very fun hope to see you again soon hugs from Norway 🤘
I had missed you guys and thought, "Oh ok they must have had a falling out with them" but now I get it and I appreciate you coming back to them, but I understand why the blocks of time in between the reactions to them.
Side note The Boys HF Have a bunch of new vids coming out in March as busy as they are they still find time they have been teasing Us Fries about secret videos and such we're a bit frantic right now *chuckle* more like foaming at the mouth LOLOL so batten down the DM Hatches when they drop it we are going to be excited to share with you. We Love our Reactors as much as we love HF so , it is what it is , Chris/Matt we Love what you do, I'm not sure Distance is a thing you'll ever get back 100% but optional leashes ??? I'm down *chuckle* Be Good Stay Safe !!!!!!!
Love your reactions and insights. If you haven't already, HE'S version of Folsom Prison Blues is fantastic. Also, I think you'll really enjoy their " Butts Medley" . Pure fun with a lot of things for you all to discuss. Plus how can you go wrong with Butts.
Great reaction breakdown fellas. I would love to see your guys' reaction on the "doo-op" songs put out by Tim Foust on his album titled "Pieces of me."
LOL I love you Guys I've still plugging away on the back catalogue Wow you guys are Busy so I've been keeping busy waiting for the HF You ALWAYS make it worth the wait !!! Love you boys ! Home Fry from WI
Home Free did funny one - make you feel my love 😍 the arrangement is awesome and the video is hilarious 😂 voice play just dropped recently We don’t talk about Bruno from the Encanto movie 🍿 😂
There's also a Big Band era sorta flow to this. Like as if they are doing it with a five piece or more orchestra from the Glenn Miller Orchestra days. Nerding out with you on this one.

Yes to all of this, guys!
TODAY! ............... j/k ;-)

The lyrics makes so much more sense now that I have that origin story. Thnx!
@@loucatozzi7656 I agree, after I learned about the origins and the meaning of the song I can appreciate in different way.
Ohhhh! That's a cool fact. Literally "Unchained" Melody
I love the song, but I am LOVING the visuals. Adam, standing there at the bars, playing with his wedding band. Oh, the FEELS.
Tim has released a 12 cut Do Wop acapella album and has dropped 3 of the tunes already. The song was written for a 1955(?) movie "Unchained" and their video
reflected moments of the movie. Look for Chance and Adam having brawl wounds and Adam twisting his wedding ring. Stay safe guys.
Doo wop needs a massive comeback. They did a glorious job on this song.
It has a comeback check out Tim's new album Pieces of Me Tim is the new king of DOO WOP
He will blow your knickers off 😵💫❤️🥰‼️🙃
Joan... I leave Tims album in my CD player and listen to it EVERY day...
Doo wop is incredibly under rated and under represented. I may have mentioned on Instagram a certain singer who did a whole doo wop album recently 😉
The video follows the real history of the song.
It was written for the 1955 prison movie called Unchained.
It’s so good to see you guys react to Home Free again. If you would, please react to some of Tim’s Doo-Wop songs. Like “In my Room” or “Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow/Stay.” You will be blown away.
ye need to watch Tim Foust doing Love Me Tomorrow/Stay
Yes I completely second this! And third and fourth it.
Yes!
I also love the first one, "Come go with me", it's an fantastic rendition.
Incredible talent that guy has.
Absolutely agree.
The inspiration from their version came from the movie Unchained, which was about 10 years before the Righteous Brothers did it.
A must see doo wop mashup is Tim's will you love me tomorrow/stay that he released a few weeks ago. a true test of his range.
Tim’s Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow is awesome..🎼💕🎵🦋🎶
Tim Foust doing "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow " enough said.

Tim Foust's Do Wop album is FIRE.
These guys are so always on point. They seriously do no wrong! You guys are great. And we're here for any & all Home Free you can do. 🥰

Austin has a video of just him singing this too, it's amazing
Tim Foust all Tim, all vocal, Doo-Wop album includes Will you still love me tomorrow/stay that is a must see!

Oh hell. I changed my mind. Home Free owns this now.
Just beautiful! No words. ❤️ Thanks for your reaction.
The original song was made for a 50's movie called chained and so they actually have gone back to the original thought behind the song. Awesome.
Really, Really would love to hear your reaction to Austin Browns solo release of "Bring Him Home". Just beautiful !!!!
Peter Hollens featuring tim Foust dropped a new video recently too- Close your eyes. Tim Foust dropped In my room recently too.

Love this my favorite to watch are independent artist HOME FREE. TOM MCDONALD. JELLY ROLL. ADAM CALHOUN. UPCHURCH glad you do all
Like many songs, I love this one from Home Free.
