I saw her in Boston 4/26/24 - when she announced she was going to "play a bunch of song's from Tiger's Blood now," everyone went wild. It's so unlike most concert experiences, when new songs come on, the crowd goes quiet. She thanked us for "so many of us" listening to her new album.
Great record yet again from Katie, Right back to it is worth the price of admission alone , a little bit of magic right there .Top quality song writing and musicianship.
This album bent my crowbar back around on itself 🤯, listen constantly, love to sing, love to play, it makes me glad 🐅🩸🎸❤️ and high school, Tim heidecker, what an album 😁
She’s a lot more comfortable than in any of the previous interviews that I’ve seen with her. I hope she gets more of a bigger following from here! Such an underrated talent ❤
i love katie and i love bonny doon and i love MJ BUT there is something incredible about this group supporting waxahatchee...clay's stage presence (ala twin peaks) adds something to the live shows (caught them at salt shed in chicago) and clay + eliana + spencer backup vocals to katie is unbelievably special
Miss Raina, you are such a blessing ❤👑❤ . Thank you and the folks at World Cafe for your work and Good Gawd!!!!! Thanks for bringing on Katie and Waxahatchee. I do hope to see them live some day. 🙏🏽BTW, Loved the Missy interview and show. I'm so stoked, I'm catching Mannequin Pussy Monday here in Santa Fe.🤘🏽🤘🏽🔥🔥🤘🏽🤘🏽🔥🔥🤘🏽🤘🏽🔥🔥
Hi WC! Katie was great. Just found Waxahatchee a few weeks back and the songwriting OMG!! I am a recovering singer/songwriter trying to do some renovations on my old craft. Enjoyed hearing her thoughts. Open for advice, offers, helping others and I'm just going to keep writing, playing and being inspired by writers who seem like kindred spirits. Thanks. Post edit: Hahahaha could I have that with a little Morissette Sauce!
@@mathewpennington8919 Clay Frankel from Twin Peaks / Grape Tooth / Hazel City. Super talented guy that is touring with them for all these live shows. I believe MJ does his own thing so he can't be there for every show.
In the description content, you've called the album 'Tiger's Blood'. But on the record itself there's no apostrophe anywhere in the titling. Was it intentional to correct the artist's grammar - and were you tempted to ask Katie about the missing apostrophe?
Depends on whether Katie is talking about the blood of many tigers (no apostrophe required as it is plural) or just one tiger's blood (apostrophe needed to show that the blood belongs to just one tiger)
@@moonshiner3146 That's not quite correct, if it's the blood of many tigers it should be Tigers' Blood. So there's still an apostophe, it's just in a slightly different place for the plural.
To have all 12 songs played in concert from a month old album, and the crowd loves it….rare. Concert the other day was fantastic
seeing her tonight in toronto, can't wait
@@oboylerules1981 Going up from Mexico to see her in San Diego in May.
@@DD-bu1kg You won't be disappointed. The band is great, she's a star. Amazing show.

Kevin, you are a lucky man, cherish this woman!
Katie has a great way with words. Always so clear.

Tigers Blood s a really beautiful, sincere album. I hope it gets a lot of attention! Been listening to it on repeat for a while now.
Such a great band. Great songs, but they are even better live. Love the drumming, and someone give the bass player a medal.
That’s the son of Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy, Spencer Tweedy on drums.
@@DJToneZone Yep!
Eliana Athayde on bass!! She's rad.
holy heck what a band.

I heard Lilacs on one of my tv shows and that brought me to TH-cam to find more from Waxahatchee. LOVE her voice!!! Hope to see her live one day!

Great interview, Katie is so well spoken. Really like to listen to her talk about her music/song writing.

One hell of a song writer ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Great to see Jeff Tweedy's son Spencer on drums with Waxahatchee. As well as being a terrific drummer he's a super nice guy and super-smart.
Thanks for such a great interview mixed with Tiger's Blood songs. This hit the spot!
Waxahatchee is a wonderful band

Great interview, great performances and excellent engineering / mix job!
Good blend and the slide fits in very nicely.
Seeing them in London in July, really excited. Still hoping they will appear at Glastonbury too.
Tremendous
"Right Back To It' just makes me happy
What is her old band from Out In The Storm up to these days? As much as I like her new stuff I will admit to missing the edge that band had.
and spencer tweedy on drums ya'll

Enjoy. For you. She’s so Ricky Lee
