And that's a good thing because there were dozens of people there who came to visit the place, not for a show of law enforcement effectiveness. Second, they restrained their aggression according to the threat, anyone can identify a simple guy "lost in his ideas" from a real aggressor and a real threat. In the end, the officers' actions proved correct because everything ended well, the guy left and everyone went back to their business.
You have to admire the calmness, patience and resolve of the UK police. We are so lucky to have people who put themselves in uniform and meet danger on a daily basis.
