    What a deep shock experience. So glad he was rescued just in time. They learned a valuable lesson, if grandpa says no there's probably good reason.

    Holy crap! How terrifying! This one was especially thrilling! And as a mother of 5, as soon as their grandfather said "Don't go in those woods," i said "Oh God, they're gonna go in those woods." ... I was on the edge of my seat the whole time! Great story! And I'm so glad it had a happy ending! Whew!

    Having had a "family" sighting of a Bigfoot outside Water park I'm inclined to believe all you told in your story.
    My adult daughter had seen her Bigfoot numerous times from a distance in the same location.
    When he appeared at the crest of a high hill beside us, he stood as a sentinel. At times hands on his hips, then shifting to folded arms against his chest.
    My daughter has spiritually innate skills and after abt 3-5 mins admiring him, she said, "we are not supposed to come back to see him ever again". We didn't. She did'nt, but I'm grateful for the experience. Even at a distance he was majestic.

    • @wh8085
      @wh8085 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Geri Acheson . . . . " majestic " interesting choice of an adjective . They usually incite more fear than admiration . I suspect proximity would have a strong influence on that perception . Just a thought.

      I could see the whole village going after it like they did the Frankenstein monster only armed with big automatic weapons, NV goggles instead of pitchforks and torches!
      The question I keep thinking of is why would there be a deep hole that goes off into caves right in the middle of the floor in the tool shed in the barn......guess ya just dont question some things. Maybe the thing tunneled it himself.

    This story made me cry. Thank the Lord Jamie pulled out of his state of emotional shock (I can't even begin to imagine his horrific experience!). I have had a very close encounter with Big Foot up in the Desolation Valley Wilderness in the CA Sierras. With my lifelong experience of the great outdoors/wilderness, extensive animal husbandry education & years of deep sea diving (the main rule here: "NEVER, EVER PANIC"!) & Tactical weapons training under heavy duress/STRESS, I believe that my years of experience got my friend & I out alive. People, these creatures ARE far less than friendly, and they can, and do, lose their tempers in a nanosecond! I was able to keep a clear head which I believe saved our lives (we got out safely with minor injuries). Do I still go back out into the woods? You bet I do, but I go armed for very large game. I would NEVER shoot a Big Foot (that would surely create a deranged BF!). But, they do understand warning shots. Be careful out there, and ALWAYS pay attention to your surroundings.

    It has to do with a haunted river bottom here in comanche County Texas, all my life I have been able to sense things, have seen things since I was a small child. My granny was Scotch Irish, my grandpa, full blood Cherokee. My grandmother told me I had what her family called, second sight. It's not always been a blessing, I promise

    • @lisaannkeith5480
      @lisaannkeith5480 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Don't I know the same thing, bc I have that same "second sight" myself. I'm not as courageous as I suppose I should be. That was the scariest story I have ever heard & I have listened to this at least once or twice a year. I had my own encounter ~ 14 years ago & I know that some of those creatures are "people eaters" & I would not want to end up on their pages for dinner. It scared the bejeebers & some other stuff out of me & I hope I never have another encounter of that magnitude ever again.
      I hope to make myself perfectly clear. If you have the type of encounter the two boys had with that Man-eating Alpha-male, & had been rescued, I would never ever look to see one in any way after that. They are extremely dangerous creatures, & that boy was luck he only had scratch marks & aa broken leg from the fall. The PTSD that he had after it is typical of having gone into shock & stayed that way for the amount of time he needed to come back from the horror of what he had been through. In other words, people, when you are told NOT to do something bc of the consequences, DO NOT turn around & do it. You may end up wishing you hadn't gone against the what the authorities told you. You could end up dead!

    What a great chilling story & well written to boot - can’t believe the kid was in shock for so long - he should have been told the truth from the beginning- glad he recovered - don’t mess with Bigfoot’s shelter, there could have been a whole clan deep in that cave with their babies we just don’t know - thanks for another fab story Cam 👍🏻❤️👏🙏🏼 I will never forget your stories!

I would put my head on my desk, close my eyes and I could be right there with Tom and Huck. Great job Cam. Keep’em coming.

    I can only imagine his PTSD and night terrors. I had them too for years and years after my encounter. And I still don't go in the woods unless absolutely necessary.
    Mine was briefer and not physical, and yet it still profoundly changed my life. I wonder how often Jamie thinks of his today.

      Matthew Duvall could it be that it, the thing, is in mental contact with you? I was night watch in a alternative sentencing foster program. two of our houses are in squatch territory. we had regular visits, mostly benign, however, I could feel when they were around, in one of the houses, they could see in through certain windows... knocks and bumps and rubbing on the outside walls... once a door opened inward from the garage... against the spring loaded hinges... we had alot of paranormal activity in one house in particular... including dreams that may have come from Sasquatch to the boy(young man)...one young lady was sitting on the porch considering running away, it was dusk, she was crying... but decided to come inside because there was a really tall man, as tall as the neighbors she'd, staring at her... swaying... I even think these things may have come to our own home... we live on rez, my husband is native and worked nights for the program as well... they can touch your mind... one house was in markleeville, Cali, one above fredricksberg, Nv. , we live on Stewart community in Carson right on clearcreek. they're real.

      as the door opened, I was crossing the room after a bed check... I lept at the door and pushed it shut with both hands and all my weight and dead bolted it... similar things had happened to other night stall, like door knobs turning, etc... to the degree that that staff would push the couch against the front door when she was there, lol

    Your story brought so many happy and sad tears. I spent most summers growing up running wild around my grandparents farm. Just like them, I had a close cousin with me. Just like them we did a lot of hard work (chores on a farm are WAY different than chores in the city) Best times of my life. My Grandfather passed away 3years ago and my Grandmother 3 months ago. This story brought back so many memories. My Grandfather told stories about a crazy voodoo lady who lived in the big woods across the street from their farm. He said that she would get cadavers from the collage in Minneapolis and would put organs from live animals she caught into them to bring them back to life. He would tell stories about finding bodies and skeletons. It kept us out of those woods!
    Fast forward 20+ years:
    I swear this is true;-
    The city made a curvy road through the woods. I had 2 experiences on that road. First, one night, my then to be husband and I were driving home super late from Christmas on the farm and (I swear!) a creature with the top of a man and the bottom of a goat ran right in front of our car through the headlights. We both got a way better look at it than we wanted to. Next, another night we were cutting through the woods on that road about a mile from the goat man spot, I had slowed way down for a sharp curve in the road. A woman came running out of the woods screaming help. She was running so crazy that she slammed into the.side of the car. Then she vanished. We called 911, but as far as we know nothing came from it.
    Side note. When I told my grandfather about this stuff he said the voodoo lady had been deported.
