    This video really helped clarify some of the complexities of crypto investing.

    The Dencun upgrade is what ETH needed. Now the Layer II's will benefit tremendously. This will be exciting for L2/L3 solutions like Loopring. Especially as Vitalik supports loopring and its fundamentals.

    Danksharding doesn’t decrease tx fees its sole purpose is to make l2s settling tx on l1 cheaper. A simple swap on a dex will b the same depending on demand. Danksharding doesn’t change the shit UX when demand is high

    Why do they make layer2 fees cheaper? Layer1 fees is the problem... They should make the layer1 fees cheaper instead of layer2 fees?

    Where did you get the data for the pie chart of L2 costs (mentioning more than 90% of costs go to L1 CALLDATA fees

    Great video!
    2:54 I think the "proto" in proto-danksharding instead signifies that this is a preliminary or initial version of the danksharding feature.

    What about reducing txs fees on Ethereum?

    • @TheBlockchainGuy
      @TheBlockchainGuy  ปีที่แล้ว

      The only reason transaction feeds would be reduced from eip-4844 as far as I understand is that L2s would no longer be competing for blockspace.
      However is an important step in full sharding which WILL reduce fees be an order of magnitude on ethereum mainnet

    • @wapane7721
      @wapane7721 ปีที่แล้ว

      Danksharding is concerned less with reducing transaction fees on the Ethereum mainnet and more on providing more data for rollups so that there is enough space for many to exist at once and all post their transactions to the mainnet for cheap.
      Eth's new roadmap is now a lot more rollup focused which unfortunately means mainnet fees will remain more or less the same for the foreseeable future.
      The idea is that in the future most transactions will take place on Layer 2 networks anyways so mainnet fees shouldn't really matter.

    Why devote resources to making L2’s cheaper when L1 fees are $7??? Ethereum leadership sucks.

    Can you do a show on what happens if Tethercoin goes the way of FTX and it's impact on the crypto market?

    • @TheBlockchainGuy
      @TheBlockchainGuy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I like the idea of a video like this but it might be a little bit before I make it. As of right now, it seems like Tether isn't facing any immediate threats. But that could change and if things start to get dicy again I'll def make one!
