How to Cut Arabica Coffee Old Stems using Grafting Tape and Eiger Platic Grafting Knife Iced Wax.
See you again viewers, this video let me share about how I learned cuttings on arabica coffee trees. where we will try entres cuttings with an insertion graft system on old stems, in the sense not on entres or young shoots.
Stem cuttings are tree propagation techniques by grafting between the top of the trunk and other branches of the coffee tree. Coffee plants that use the stem cutting technique are Robusta coffee because of the vegetative propagation technique.
The stages are more or less as follows:
1. Selection of Trees to be joined
The old tree that we choose is coffee that has been produced more than 3 times with an age of about 5 years.
2. Coffee Plant Cutting
As entres I chose from water shoots from robusta coffee. we cut the selected stems along about 10cm,
3. Grafting or pasting process
Done in a short time after cutting the Entres so that the Entres are still healthy and avoid decay and fungal attack.
