☑️ Fading Steps:
1st step, a guideline with zero (make sure it drops towards the back)
2nd step, a guideline with .5 (no guard lever open)
3rd step, guideline 1.5
4th step, 2.5 & 3.5 blends outwards
5th step, blend out top guideline w/ 1.5 guard open to 3 qtr
6th, step blend second guideline w/ .5 guard open to 3 qtr
7th, step continue blending second guideline w/ 1 guard open to 3 qtr
8th step, blend first guideline w zero, lever closed
9th step, open lever halfway, continue blending
10th step, continue blending with lever open
11th step, do any touch-up work
12th step, use trimmers to take out bottom hair
13th step, use an electric shaver

I would say faded culture is better for beginners because they have more of a specific system. Jeezy changes his methods often.

So I just finished self cutting my hair and after 1 year I’d say this video has made me cut the best one yet, I do have 2 words of advice for this video
9:11 you don’t need to re cut your first line you’ve made bringing it higher With the clippers fully closed, kinda wasting your time. Instead do 1 notch higher that close and blend out that first line you made and NOW you can continue with the rest of the tutorial.
Lastly Is when you are doing the line with the 1 guard earlier in the video and blending out with the .5 make sure to take extra amount of time on that part, my Babyliss hates cutting with the 1 guard and looks weird every time. And yes it’s 0 gapped

To blend the bulk line on the parietal ridge do you prefer using thinning shears, clipper over comb, or ascending guards? I assume depending on the hair you may do a combo of all the above correct?
