APP was a British prog band that used interchangeable musicians like Steely Dan in the US. I would have preferred CD only. Nice review of one of my favorite AAP albums.
I only want the Atmos and 5.1 surround remixes, but I feel like paying the $175 just to support surround remixes in any form. I’ve waited 44 years for this. 😺
Great Review, I like APP, I think they should have issued the vinyl and cd separately kind of a Van Halen type move though no way near the bonuses, but I feel the Vinyl inflates the price here at least 40-50 dollars, but it is what it is. I love the Inclusion of Eric Woolfsons work, he to me was a huge part of the "project" and to me it's not a "project" without him. His vocals are huge to the sound, I know they had some hits without his lead vocals, but their biggest works "Time" and "eye in the sky" and "Dont answer me" all have Eric and his haunting vocals, he just had this eerie sadness to his voice that to me was "the project" not taking away from Alan who is a genius and craftsman, engineer and to me the best at that, I loved the last record under Alan Parsons because it had some elements of that sound but now that Eric has passed 15 years ago, its not the same. But glad to see his inclusions in this box, their was friction at times with them, but on some of the cd remasters you get Eric's guide vocals which are incredible how he lays the bed to create the track they were a good team.
The proliferation of the box set will alone keep the cd alive. Something this detailed over so many discs would never work on vinyl. I don't think even the most gullible of the "audiophile" would be dumb enough to shell out $300.00 - $350.00 for what would take maybe 14, 15, 16 vinyl records to carry all this material. Then again... Anyway, here's to The Alan Parsons Project! I remember them well.
I wish they would stop putting different formats in the same package. I don't want the LP's. Especially 45 RPM! Please release JUST the CDs of this set. Sell the Blu Ray as a separate item also.
Awesome review ❤as always
I’m glad you enjoyed it! 👍
Another brilliant album and a Brilliant cover by none other than Hipgnosis
As with all these other APP releases, I'm just gonna wait for the stand alone Blu-ray
My favorite of his!

I want the LP.
No discussion of the 5.1....a lost opportunity.
I don’t have a set up for it and it’s not something I’m interested in. My reviews focus on my interests…hence the name of the channel 👍
