Thank you Chris. I choose you first as a reliable resource for all my song that I will be Cantoring for mass. You have a clear, pure and beautiful temperature. God bless.
Thank you for the kind words…I’m glad my work has been helpful. :) I adore this song, and use it when I offer concerts and even used it at my own dad’s funeral.
This is my first time going over this......singin it for an upcoming funeral.......its just beautiful! Thanks for sharing this & your gifts, Chris! Bright blessings!
Chris. I read the narrative you wrote about your dad’s passing and that you sang this to him shortly thereafter. God certainly gave you the strength to do so. I am very peaceful right now after hearing you sing this again. It was more meaningful today knowing that you sang it to your dad as his soul was entering heaven. Peace to you and your family as you go through the “firsts” without your dad. 🙏
Well, at my parish I usually plan to do it once or twice during November as a meditation or even presentation or gifts. During that month we remember our loved ones who have passed away and we have an altar of remembrance in the corner of the church that the pastor will incense at the end of mass.
It's funny, I got the notification about this comment on my phone about 10 minutes before I was going to sing this song at a funeral yesterday. Love this piece
I am forever grateful for your beautiful, true to original music, renditions of all these songs I must learn for choir. I have learned so much from you already? Is there any way you would consider also doing the alto (or other) harmonies?
The song was written by Rick Modlin (music) and Owen Alston (lyrics), just a couple of years ago. It bears a resemblance to the older song “Going Home” so perhaps that’s what you’re thinking of
❤❤❤. Beautiful, and no doubt even more meaningful now.

Awesome. This was sung at my mom’s funeral. Brought a tear to my eye.
It’s a gorgeous song. I’ve been privileged do make music with the composer many times.
It's so nice to look up a song and see you performing it. It gives me confidence the I'll do a good job with it.
Thank you. It’s a wonderful song, I just sang it at my dad’s funeral after Easter.
Beautifully sung. Love this song so much. Thank you for this.
One of my favorites!
Anyone else have an opinion on when this could be used other than a funeral?
