Hello Sir, saw you on TV and looked for this channel. I retired as an ART in Dec 2020 and now live in Montgomery. I’m researching between Paramotoring vs Ultralight’s, cost, rules, accessibility and such. Is there a club or local group you belong to. And we’re you ever connected to the 403 Wing at Keesler?
I was assigned as a chaplain at Kessler in 1997-2000. No orgs here. But we sometimes fly together. Paramotoring will be a good deal cheaper than an ultralight. FAR 103 is the rule governing Paramotoring. No license. No Certifications, no inspections required a. Just have to follow the rules in the FAR.
I seem to be following Mr. Gott this evening. Kind of cool. The last video I watched, Tucker made a comment just before me. I'm on a roll. Tucker is my hero. 😁
I am so very sorry someone did that to you!!! My kids absolutely LOVE when you fly over our house! I hope that young man realizes how dangerous and meaningful that was to do!
I think we’re all overlooking the fabulous recruiting job David has done here. That young man needs to be playing for Prattville Lions. Someone get his info to coach ASAP.
That was an accurate throw. Right into the bread basket. I can only imagine if it wasn't deflected just right. That was insane. Lesson here is to stay higher around teenagers. Frontal lobe has a few years to go. I am sure he wanted you to catch it and toss it back.
Interesting predicament. I don’t think I’ve had anyone throw anything at me yet, well, that I know of. I have slapped a hand of a stranger as I was flying by once.
You are loved by many in Prattville -- this is an isolated jerk I hope. We see you all over the place and since we're on the ground we can hear the positive comments.
I'm thinking you are at fault. The kids were there playing in the creek and you buzzed them. If you don't fly low and close to them, the football isn't an issue.
Ron, you likely pride yourself on seeing all sides of things. Imagine for a moment going for a pleasure drive? Nothing illegal but driving in a place that you just like to go because you are legally entitled to drive there? Maybe down along the beach, or next to a ballpark. Imagine further that out of nowhere some irresponsible person on that beach or ballpark throws a ball at you, hitting you in the head through your open window. Things like this happen. Would you or anyone else blame the guy out for a pleasure drive or would they blame the guy who threw the ball? Should the pleasure driver decide in the future he should just stay away from beaches or ballparks where people might intentionally throw things at him? Was it the driver’s fault for being there? I don’t think so.
@@ParamotorPrattville I think it was a good kid making a fun gesture without thinking what could go wrong. I fly without a camera, so I never would have captured such a crazy moment. This was a good video to post for the community to understand how dangerous that was. Someone was looking over your shoulder brother David.
@@ParamotorPrattville you make a good argument. Others on here wanted to castigate the kid for an error in judgement. There are some neighborhoods that I don't take a pleasure drive in due to certain danger i might come in contact with. The kid made a mistake but I think you shouldn't fly that close to unpredictable people. Just my opinion David. Ty for the civil reply and thank you for the awesome vids.
@@36054tiger I won’t be going anywhere near there again if I see anyone in the water, if there are people on the ground on the far shore I will fly higher. 😀 not going to let that happen again. Hurt! 😀
Not to mention he could have killed you. That is a criminal act and hopefully they will prosecute him for that. That is akin to aiming a laser at a pilot's eyes when he's trying to land the plane
good opportunity to turn around and do a quarterback foot drag
You waved he probably thaugh you wanted the football
Bad call to be that close. You are lucky

I bet if he were spoken to he would feel badly about it, but still a dangerous thing to do. Glad you are ok..
I think its fine
Ouch!! Glad you’re ok.
I saw plenty of room to land.... and kick some ass.

Wow, that was not cool at all! Hopefully he was just acting on impulse and felt bad after it actually hit you. 😕
I figure that’s right. No harm intended. 😀

Man that was dangerous. But a darn good throw! Glad nothing bad happened to you Sir.

I am so jealous, that looks so cool. Glad no one was hurt.

Don't fly during hunting season! Ha, Ha

If someone on the ground can hit you with a ball, theres a good argument that youre above an "open air assembly of persons".

I think he just wasn’t thinking about how dangerous it was.
