    Indeed, when I was a younger religious missionary doctor in Africa, JESUS in me performed many surgical miracles in very difficult circjmstances saving lives. Made me very humble. Have CHRIST, will perform nearly impossible feats!! I always thank God for giving me the docility to say YES to His Call to follow Him. In my poverty I feel very rich.

    I love the beginning of the mass, calling to mind we are sinners.....! It would be awesome if it could be presented just as Fr. Pagano just did in this show. The tone and emphasis is so real and the human soul recognizes the truth of their shortcomings. And I love the distinction between actual hypocrisy and those who fail several times as they truly are working to perfect their walk with Christ. And oh how I love when a couple can be true to the strengthening of their marriage through prayer. It is something I’d love, and it is something I emphasize to others about the loss they will experience otherwise (spoken from experience). Keep up the amazing shows !!!

    Thanks for your amazing videos. By the Christians celebrate Pentecost on May 31 But all my family and Jewish friends are celebrating today
    "and the feast of harvest, the first-fruits of thy labours, which thou sowest in the field; and the feast of ingathering, at the end of the year, when thou gatherest in thy labours out of the field."

    I love your show and this episode in particular. I do have to do a rebuttal on the Pro-Life issue. The comment on the Pro-life is only for birth then they forget about the baby after, something o. That order. The retort was thats wrong. My problem with that is I know pro-life members who are against welfare and food stamps, especially for young unwed mothers. The unwed mother is an example of an unwanted pregnancy, but the mother had and kept the baby. The mother doesn't have any type of daycare for her child so she is on welfare with food stamps then the pro-lufe people I know complain about the mother on welfare and they are tired of paying for the lazy. I think we as Catho l is need to examine ourselves deeply, of how we can help the unwed mother who did not decide to have an abortion.

I was wondering if you can provide a talk about drug addiction and the impact on Catholic families and marriage. I’m currently going through a difficult time with my husband’s addiction. Thank you so much and I hope you are able to present a show focusing on this topic. I want my family to stay together in God’s grace and pray for his soul from this terrible affliction.

    What happens when someone is such a good actor they can play the humble role to get away with being hypocrites? Like saying “oh man I know I’m not perfect but I know I need my sacraments .” Then giving a someone a dirty look in church because their baby yells out loud during mass knowing they are breaking their own concentration to shame someone ... Some people say “oh man I know I’m such a sinner I’m trying real hard though but I realize I can’t be perfect” just because they know someone close by will then go “ oh but at least your trying .” Seems like they play this role of a humble person just to soak up all the back pats and praise . How can we tell who’s genuine at this point . Other than God himself we won’t know rite . This is what throws me off . I even see Deacons who have grandchildren in my church who teach classes on baptism and marriage which are based on respect ,following Christ’s teachings and applying them to our life’s then grabbing his 4 year old grandson by the hair and violently yanking him back because he won’t listen . Then this same person takes communion the next day , but if I had done that I’d have to go to confession or anger management and be shamed . So hears the kicker wether he’s human or not and shouldn’t be held on a pedestal let’s be realistic because of his title sometimes people overlook or seem to forgive that person much quicker . Age and titles seem to somehow give more leeway for forgiveness of stupidity and sin when it should be the other way around in my opinion. I see other parishioners pinching their children excessively in mass till they cry to shut them up but also give me or my wife dirty looks when my 9 month old cries for two seconds in mass . Like I’m a horrible person and they cannot believe I’m allowing it to happen . I’ve walked into mass early taken a seat and then had a family arrive late walk rite over to me and my family after mass has started and tell me that we are in the seats they always sit in , so we move over as to not argue and have to give peace to these people sooner or later that comes out half hearted and hesitantly . I want to have a positive experience and it makes me upset when I reach out to shake someone’s hand while we are giving peace and they turn around cause they know it’s coming and ignore you on purpose till it’s over like most of us have done at one time or another ... I’m pretty sick of it . I feel like these little things that happen almost help us sin in a way because at that point we get upset during mass instead of focusing on praise .
    Eventually it becomes rage the more we hold it in and here I am a week later going to confession sounding like a lunatic and stone caster because I do my share of dumb stuff on top of confessing that I complain about others.
    Example I scolded my son out loud for throwing a toy monster truck that’s pretty hard at his mothers face in a restaurant and this older guy comes over and says I’m verbally abusing my son before he even gets the whole story . He then involves the manager who is his friend and his wife to try and turn the situation into more than it was . The manager started to say I was a bad father and he didn’t want yelling in his restaurant meanwhile he’s yelling at me in front of all the other customers . I waited till their rant was over and pointed out very loud that I was a paying customer and that he as a manager failed to notice the older guy who started all this had been served his sixth glass of wine going on seven and was extremely inebriated . To the point he was slurring and reeking of alcohol . At that point I also pointed out the fact he would be driving home with his slurring buzzed wife and possible kill someone which was was worse than verbal abuse . I also said I’d call the police and have him be given a sobriety test if he did go out to his car so he didn’t ruin someone’s life or kill any families . He and the guy went from pointing fingers and lecturing me to immediately backing off . All this was based on the fact he was in his 60s a parishioner at that and high standing person in that part of town . So you see titles and age like deacon or Father or even big contributor long time church parishioners get away with a lot even if we shouldn’t hold them on a pedestal it sure doesn’t seem fare how they get more leniency in many situations.
    BTW Mr . Rogers was a killing machine in the Marine corps little known fact haha .

    i loved this show's topic because its waaaay overdue! A lot of times Christians do not practise what we preach and it becomes very daunting for people to trust and believe us. I love Ennie Hickman's approach which is what Jesus taught and lived. Jesus would mix with everyone and preach His message without any judgement and get to the heart of the matter. Unfortunately, we live in times where everyone wants to show off how much they love and follow God and come down with a hammer on those who don't or have questions. Love remains the only way to reach out and live. Also, yes, Ennie, in Africa we dance for the Lord! I am Kenyan. Curious question, is there anything inside your mugs???? Be blessed and thanks for the show.

      And Catholics do not practice what the Bible preaches! Thus,
      All Catholics are 100% LOST, from the Pope down to the pauper in the pew, and that's because they refuse to be saved by the merits of Christ ALONE. Therefore, they are headed for hell, I don't care HOW since they appear.
      The false gospel the RCC pushes consists of trying to be saved by the law (CCC 16 & 2068)--which is directly contrary to Galatians @; and puts all Catholics under a CURSE as Paul says in that verse. They furthermore hope for heaven on the basis of good works (1821), sacraments (1129) and papal subordination ("Unam Sanctam"), none of which are biblical, and all of which proves they are 100% LOST.

    People from all backgrounds are capable of hypocrisy and using double standards. For most honest people, being guilty of hypocrisy is a cause for re-examination of ones positions and increased skepticism, because hypocrisy is a tell tale sign that ones worldview includes logical fallacies, excessive bias, or even willful ignorance.
    For those who wish to defend a tradition or cult however, it is a cause to seek out mental gymnastics and apologetics that defend, obscure, and sugarcoat their ideas and allow them to continue hypocrisy and double standards without feeling the dissonance or guilt which is natural to experience when the brain detects inconsistencies. Far be it from religions to consider skepticism as a proper response, instead encouraging adherents to double down and resist doubting anything they've been taught.

    • @martinhealy2755
      @martinhealy2755 ปีที่แล้ว

      Excellently written. Like all distorted cults, Catholics can't face themselves objectively in their own behaviours potential harm to others. And a completely inability to question the validity of what they are really indoctrinated into. They will become extremely angry when challenged on proofing any of their religious claims as factual. The herd conformity that catholicism thrives on makes it hard for members to leave it completely. Many people would rather stay pretending within it such is they're cowardness. It's irrelevant to a fearful brainwashed ego what harm it might be supporting or involved with. The acceptance of the perceived " normality" of the herd is all a frightened ego wants.
      It's the world's largest cult, a cult in the same way scientology is a cult.
      A real religion be it philosophically true or not, will endorse it's standards and idealogies and turf out pretenders.

    Father people who leave the church due to hypocrite people or they don't like something a priest says, which they don't agree and right away leave a church , I think that is for people not having strong faith,values which are thought by parents and parents responsibility to set an example ,if parents didn't brought up their children with religion,prayer are the ones that usually end up with kids growing up not being faithful...and no one should just leave the church ,just for seeing hypocrites or a priest not agreeing with them ..and I had friends who were both Hindu,Christian ,Jewish and muslim religion and who their pastor would sexually abuse kids and people never tell nobody and don't even tell police for fear to let their religion down and keep quite and that never goes to news.. people protect their leaders and for us catholic they publish us all over news and news papers and I don't think that's right ... And my friends had gone through that , but these religion leaders continue their position as pastor being a hypocrite and nobody knows what he did and these men act as nothing happened.. some girls told me , we can't let down our religion .. I was surprised ...so this is in every religious group out there .. I love my Catholic religion for all that has happened , miracles with proof and happening all over the world , but ofcouse that is not heard in news .

    The Church is a hospital for sinners. We keep trying, we fall, we pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off and keep going. We never let hope or faith die. All is lost when hope is gone. The perfect example of this is the Catholic Church itself - someone famous said the Catholic Church must be divinely protected, what other institution so badly managed and attacked from within and without by powerful people and nations would have survived for 2000years unless it was protected by God.

      @Kanikapila Ho'ohanai Haven't seen you state which religion is the true one to follow, according to you. If you reject God's son, his inspired word, and his Church, how can you follow Him?
      Btw it was Christianity that brought an end to child sacrifice in Pagan Rome and Aztec Mexico and many other places.
      I had to look up "chomos", never heard that word. Read the John Jay report. Pedophilia is a human problem, not a Catholic or Christian problem. No worse there than any place else. Public schools are actually the worst. The biggest problem the Catholic Church has had is gay mafia fake priests invading the seminaries and abusing seminarians and older altar servers.

      It’s not just in the Catholic Church it’s in every religious organisation across the board unfortunately..in order for these issues to be addressed society needs to come to the realisation that child abuse dose not just happen in some dark corner of a church.. it’s on every street corner in every home in every town city and country. If this happens then these issues can be addressed successfully. Repeating, this is not just a scandal of the Catholic Church it’s in every church in every religion when talking about this remember to include these fact. It’s also just as much apart of society and is a foolish and stupid notion to think it’s just exists in a church..it exists in everyday society and society for decades has swept this issue under the rug time and time again. I’m a survivor of abuse and am talking from experience it had nothing to do with the church or a priest but you only ever hear in the media when it involves the Catholic Church. They rarely report when it happens in the Mormon , protestant, evangelical Christian church’s and the list goes on. You can find many examples of every religious community being just as guilty of these evil crimes. Please Don’t struggle with your faith in the Catholic church Its the actions of these evil individuals that have done this not the church. don’t let there evil actions rob you of your faith unfortunately evil is in everything and everyone but Jesus is here for us and will save us from the darkness he saved me and through him I’m blessed And I feel the love of my heavenly farther every time I call out to him.

    Nice show as always, guys. But your topic really confused me this time. The title of this episode refers to "Christians", and your thumbnail even features Christian multi-millionaires. And that right there is an hypocrisy I have to explain to people all the time, defending CATHOLICISM and the clergy's vows of poverty and chastity. I wish Catholics and Protestants could be reunited during my lifetime, but for now let's face it: the term "Christian" has been hijacked, and it doesn't refer to us Catholics anymore. And what's more, we can't bear responsibility for their hypocrisies. The Vatican is correct in not considering Catholicism as a denomination of Christianity; Catholicism is the one true apostolic religion derived from Christ, and we, the body of the church, are the true Israelites.

      @ Jim Baron
      The Roman Catholic church no longer calls Roman Catholics Christians, exactly for the reasons you stated - there are SO many different sects of "Christians". They have all negated the three foundations of our Roman Catholic church:
      The Holy Ghost;
      The Immaculate Conception;
      The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
      These are Sacred mysteries of God, the Father and we believe them by faith - and miracles increase our faith and belief.
      I've asked protestants, how did Jesus come to walk on this earth? You believe He was an infant, born", (of the Blessed Virgin Mary).
      Not one of them will say, "The Immaculate Conception.". Apparently Martin Luthor didn't believe GOD CAN DO ANYTHING.

      I was hoping for a deeper dive into the hypocrisy of a multimillionaire pastor bashing the Catholic Church for having big churches while they travel on one of their private jets. People are literally leaving the true church to follow these guys that are absolutely full of pride and greed. I’m proud of the Catholic Church when it comes to charitable contributions and clergy that preach for people’s salvation, not to stack up more money to add another private jet to their fleet or add a new wing to their mansion.

    Pastors, preachers making hundreds of hundreds & billion dollars around the world of Christians around the world is this a blessing from God or business for them?
    As much as they receive do they give back?
    Or are they stealing from God?

    If we are willing to listen to the voice of God, He can definitely use us for good...He used Rahab . Sadly there are those who use the name of the Lord for their own personal gain...thus bringing a reproach to the Gospel of Christ. Keep listening to the voice of God...keep being awesome.

    "Is the pink haired lady a false prophet?", someone asked - I think the question was asked by a Hebrew.
    Sometimes I think you guys have little faith, or not enough, when it comes to Holy Water ....
    I used Holy Water that was in the bottle a LONG TIME. It was green. It looked like swamp water. It was Holy Water blessed by my Roman Catholic priest. I had no doubt nor will I ever, that however and in whatever manner I used this Holy Water, it will not hurt me. Holy Water no longer has the properties of regular water, when it is blessed by a Roman Catholic priest. In many ways it's like a priest. No matter what that priest does he is still an ordained priest and the only one who can touch the Host or bless items and the only one who can absolve us from our sins. God gives that to him and God doesn't take that away unless the priest chooses to dispose of what God gave him. This was explained in something given us from OUR LADY and I can only think it is from
    REVELATIONS LUZ DE MARIA.
    Point is your Holy Water will only be as strong as your faith. No matter WHAT SHAPE your Holy Water is in, do not be hesitant or afraid to use it. It will cure what ails you.
    God bless you

      I knew an old man that used to work at Lockheed over 50 years ago and he told me of a story about their scientists who took slides of water before and after it was blessed (holy) and said that the molecules from the blessed water were further apart than those that were from its original state. So there was in his mind scientific evidence of a change of state in the water after it was blessed.
      And all I could think of was what the word holy means; to be set apart!
      /:) ..have to make room for God.

      @robinfree God would not like that experiment, it'd be mocking Him. Its like when the devil told Jesus, "if you're the true son of God, then throw yourself down."
      Mathew 4:7
      "Jesus answered him, 'It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.'"
      What is it to put God to the test?
      The attempt to put to the test or make trial of one or more of God's attributes. This testing of God can be made by word, deed, or omission. It is formal when one says or does something with the express or explicit intention of putting God on trial.

    Amen brother! The Catholic Church will never stop being charitable to the poor, those who seek God.... and God's forgiveness and his kingdom through his son our Lord Jesus. Amen, Amen brother,,, All Catholics should scream at the top of our lungs to stop abortion. If every Catholic went to the Capital, screamed at the top of our Lungs to stop abortion. For my sweet baby, Ruth.....a baby who was aborted, given a name....who I promise to pray for her.. 60 million American children have been murdered. Planned Parenthood is planned abortion. Planned Parenthood is a for profit organization that sells our beloved unborn for profit. RIPING THEIR TINY BODIES TO PIECES. As a surgical nurse who refused to participate with the murder of God's babies still saw what were classified as products of conception. Father like you said during your homily 4/10/2021, all children of Christ must come together, through God's word, holy scripture. 60k Christian practices must come together.

    Catholics are not Christian.
    You kiss the Pope's ring 💍 if you meet him ( worship)
    You pray to Mary. ( Idol ) Jesus intercedes between God and man. Not a dead woman.
    You pray on the rosery beads,
    ( Talisman ) you confess sins to a person ( priest ) you didn't sin against. YOU ARE NOT CHRISTIANS. You are Catholic.

  • @TeXasDadBod
    @TeXasDadBod 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    So we shouldn’t hold people like priest on a pedestal when they do something thing wrong because it’s reserved for Jesus like Father said rite . So with that being said when a priest in his outfit gets pulled over for speeding let’s say as opposed to a teen or twenty year doing ether exact same thing , what are the chances he gets a warning simply because of who he is as opposed to the teenager. Because I’ve seen it happen so how come titles and age in some instances no matter if the offense is exactly the same have such different judgements??? We can’t hold people on pedestals but we sometimes do because they get more leniency . Some people get away with more because of who they are and their social ties with the community. Not to say when they do get into trouble in certain cases it’s amplified and made more public than a normal person but usually after many other instances are swept under the rug .
