If Karanja’s own composed music is heard over the radios, does it mean he doesn’t receive any royalties from those stations that play his songs? If Karanja doesn’t get anything to even enable him put a plate of food on his lap because he may not even have a table to put a plate on in the first place, the Kenya Music Association may be as corrupt as most of Kenya’s institutions. A talented musician must not die in poverty and therefore other musicians need to address Karanja’s problems.
