Watching this was the highlight of my day. Used to bowl against Himmler in Junior tournaments, great final match and the greatest show on turf was the next day according to the ad! (Seriously, these old ads are fun to watch!)
Pete is always exciting on the lanes; getting the ball down on that first step so as to get it up in the second and third step in the 5 (five) step approach. Pete is always the no. 1 on the lanes in my opinion i.e. he has the right character in a competitive scenario.
53:05 for all of his bluster, Pete respected his opponents, especially Norm. He always praised everyone from fellow players to the workers and score keepers. "The act" wasnt who he really was.

One of these days they'll be back to Louisville, I hope. Many of the guys were bitching about the lanes here so I guess that's why they just never come back anymore. This is where I bowl in my league, I like em. But I'm no pro...
@@connorallen9711 Yes he has cut down on his speed and rev rate even more lately but even back then he would usually throw it around slower for the big hook, he just seemed more amped up in the early 2000s and late 90s.

The best final match I have ever seen
Pete's 18 strikes in a row is a record that I believe still stands.
Ive had 26
@@gixxergarryon tour on a tv final ? Didn’t think so house bowler.
Wholly cow. Weber vs Haugen. Wat a matcj. Very very intense
I always thought Haugen would go on to win a bunch of titles. Loved watching him back in the day
@Swat Katz. Yuck 🤮! I would have preferred Ryan Shafer playing Norm Duke in the final match.
@@trevorprzepiora7926 I couldn't stand Michael Haugen, Jr.

Pete Weber Has the Most Beautiful Stroke in the Game
My 2 favorite bowlers in this tournament are definitely Norm Duke and Ryan Shafer.
These lanes at the airport are high scoring lanes, bowled the. Louisville open there for lots of years.

What a Great Ending Wow

Pete Weber: 260
Norm Duke: 227

Weber Wins!
Thomas McCarrick Asshole.
J. Smith Clutch is more like it. 💪🏼
@@SlimJimJoey I was talking about Thomas. Not Weber. 🖕🏼
@Thomas McCarrick. That's funny what you put that Pete Weber said when he won the championship match against Haugen!! Lol.
Shoutout to the teardrop ball return ball racks. 🤙🏼
And Vulcan Vultex pins. A shame about Brunswick's monopoly.
One thing we all can agree on...he most definitely is P-D-W !!
What is the hand at 30:38 ???
Weber never disappointed his entire career! Gave it all and talked shit the whole way 💪🏻beast !
Jason Couch looks like the type of guy who watches college football, screaming at the television.
And stuffs his face the entire time
52:22 Pete Weber Advances
52:24 Pete Weber saying I AM PDW!!!
Pete Webster Jr. is the greatest bowler of all time. I am his biggest fan.
1:01:24 omg Pete even talking smack 😆😆😂😂😂
1:08:53 Pete was like going nuts
Lol 2 heavyweights going at it, with a combined body fat % of 5%, I love this match
Those days are gone ! Now it’s weeble wobbles woth bellies flopping everywhere! No wonder bowling died.
You couldn't have asked for better Lane conditions, pins were flying everywhere.. Roll a 279 and get beat to Pete Weber who rolls a 289. 😯 😎🎳
The right lane im sure i can see a hand in the back pushing pins around.
Watch the 1996 Flagship Open
1:10:01....this ball is left the whole...excuse me Randy
Look at 9:10 there are hands in the pit!
Much earlier at 4:43
Probably had a guy back there to immediately remove any stuck pins or balls to keep the telecast moving
@@godbelow good eye man!
2022 and haugen still doesn't know the lane has more than two arrows.
All these guys look like used car salesmen’s lol
This is 2002
what a fuckin match 👏
Pete Weber is a funny guy and you have to respect him. Anyone who doesn’t show respect for Pete Weber is a fool.
Sometimes his arrogance is a bit much; but he saved the sport of bowling throughout the 90s
@@Pyrrho_ then what the fuck would you consider me for respecting Pete Weber
Haugen turns me off. He looks so creepy. Having green hair and earrings looks extremely childish and immature for Michael Haugen, Jr..
he ain't gonna be the first one to get me no way
Nah he said, he ain't getting his first one against me, no way. :)
@@PandaQuixote77 Same difference. He’s still a dick.
If he hadn't gotten so wound up making that comment, I wonder if he would have shot 300. Pete's gonna be Pete but you have to wonder.
the 2 semi finals and title matches were exciting and very close
I truly admire both of these bowlers but don't believe Norm has ever threw a ball 20 mph. They must register it at the bottom of the swing. Lol
Storm has the best bowling balls on the market. Because of Pete Weber I bought Storm and Roto Grip equipment.
The best players in the world bowl with storm except Parker Bohn. He's been Brunswick forever
289 Weber
279 Haugen
Those are high scores

Since when did PDW throw at 20mph, always thought he threw less than 18mph
He threw it fast when he was younger. You have to think about the fact that PDW is in his 60's.
