    How’s the power cup 2 on the street? I haven’t picked mine up yet & idk if I should have the dealer swap them out for power 5’s since I’ll never see a track

      I like them a lot surprisingly . I’m very used to q3 and q4 pluses and then having the bikes with these and experiencing them is completely different. For a street tires there really not bad

    Thoughts on this as a first bike? About to get my MSF. I see it’s got a ton of safety features like wheelie control,corner abs,regular abs,etc.
    I was going to plan on keeping it on low power mode. Coupled with the very tame stock tune that has the dead spots in it. 26 Years old and very mature. Wouldn’t be flooring it at the first chance I get. Thoughts or tips?

      It’s a big bike for your first bike. I always recommend starting on a 600cc. The s1000rr is a lot of bike for a new rider . Yes the bike is very safe and can practically drive itself but there’s a lot of things a rider should learn before hopping on a 1k.

      If you plan on keeping it in low power mode and driving responsibly because you're "very mature" why even consider this bike and not just get a 400-600cc bike? That would be the actual mature decision to do instead of having a track bike and not actually using it as such. You'd be better off with a BMW f900r or something like that, same features, more comfortable, tops out at about 130, much cheaper, etc. This bike is an advanced performance machine, if you will not be using it as such, dont bother.

      @@iRickcast1 some people like to not have to buy another bike over and over. I’ve been doing tons of research. Going ti bite the bullet and start on a 636 for 2-3 years and then move to a 1k.

      @@PMPINSINCE Except thats a misconception. You dont have to keep upgrading to higher CCs. You literally never need to buy a 1k of this caliber unless you're HUGELY skilled in the racetrack. 99% of people do not fit that. In fact, skilled riders on 400/500s will run laps around the rookies on the 1k on the track, thats just how it goes. A 600 will easily get to 120+mph and thats more power than you're likely EVER going to use unless you just like to go really fast on a straight line in the freeway like most of the guys that end up wrecked and have no skill. Moral of the story, dont get caught up thinking you need a 1k. You'll never need that much power unless youre a pro.

      @@iRickcast1 to each their own. I like to roll race. Have a 900 whp car for it and now want a bike. You can enjoy taking twisties and track riding etc. but some guys like me like doing some 60-160s in Mexico where traffic is low and roads are straight 🤷🏻‍♂️
      You’re not even in the 4s 60-130 where most cars are competitive are doing that at around the 900-1000 whp range. In order to be competitive. You’d need at minis 1000 with mods.
      Say it’s stupid all you want. Everyone likes what they like. Just because you think it’s stupid doesn’t mean that’s a fact. All of it is a matter of opinion.

    How is the dead spot between 4k and 8k rpm?

    • @lsmtana
      @lsmtana  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It due to how bmw has the bike stock . So pre tune the bike doesn’t hit power till 8k and pre limiter removal the bike is limited at 9k rpm for break in
