I think those bad comments are actually hurting Lia. because I'm a singer, not a professional one, but everybody experience anxiety, and when I feel anxious oofff my throat start to close and shake, and my voice sound terrible.

Its sad how kpop fandoms hate Jimin over a 2018 clip where he and V were sick, had 24 concerts each year in 2018-19. It’s obvious after so many continuous concerts their voice will break. Well as of 2021 Jimin got rest and his vocals have improved a lot like alot after Butter, atleast you can be relieved that he doesn’t break anymore. Please understand that BTS didn’t get proper rest in 2018-19, BTS was giving out concerts like mad(24 concerts in each year damn!)

Jimin was bullied by netizens and media for many days as they waited that moment for whole life. People still come up with this clip to talk s**t about him. He barely have bad performances apart from that old time when he was not in good condition. He needed to train? No. needed to REST. I am a singer. It's not easy to put your voice in the right position sometimes. It depends on the situation. Some days my voice sounds better than others, some days I can sing songs perfectly and other days I make mistakes. And it's even harder when you have to perform in a 2h concert where you have to sing and dance at the same time. Besides, these are very few videos of very specific situations, you cannot judge someone's vocal skills by just watching 2 videos of them. These idols have had great vocals moments too, as well as bad ones. Singing is a very hard skill to manage and I understand their voice cannot be great sometimes.
Yes you are right...i also sing , when i also sing the same thing happened with me sometimes it sounds soo well and sometimes it's not... Idols also have some hard time and difficulties too..it's really not a small thing that u are dancing and singing at the same time for almost 2 hours..it gets really hard sometimes to breathe while dancing but I don't know why they see these all things why they don't see the reality 😖

As I said these are very specific situations. I know they are not the best vocalists in the world and they have a lot of things to improve but still, they can sing. Although I gotta admit that idols' vocal training is usually very poor and it should be improved or something cause companies always focus on dance skills rather than vocals

Yes. Lia's voice went unstable cuz her mom was at the concert. It's totally reasonable to get your throat tight when you feel like crying. tbh JYP's recording/livestream of the performances really did ITZY dirty. Like literally look at the recording any fan who went to the concert and recorded the performances live and in person, itzy sounded wayyyy better and slayyed.
Itzy is not a group that need strong vocals, their focus is dance and rap so jyp might only have gave her the position to have at least one person that has vocal support, that’s why she sounds “weak” compared to other main vocalist, but you have to consider her role in the group, and you’ll see she fits perfectly in the description jyp wanted…

She has the best technique out of everyone in itzy but she's just not a very stable singer (as in when singing on stage and while dancing). Yeji's technique isn't as good as her but she's rather stable.

That Rose one was a bit serious. I don't know much about her vocal agility, she really messed up that one. But melisma is not easy stuff tho. Even well-trained singers struggle with that one.
They were just practicing backstage though. It wasn’t a big performance and it wasn’t even one with other idols I don’t think? I think she’s usually fine like in her Masked Singer or Busking performances she sounds great with Suhyun and Onew etc. but the example used was the other idols trying to help her hit her notes so they sang it and then she tried to copy it but was struggling I believe

I think rosé was just warming up her voice many idols do like that and Lia was singing without autotune and background music and after their group performance it's difficult to sound good and jimin's one his voice cracked during the performance and he cried after the performance so let's not expect idols to be perfect all the time
Thank you for this. I see so many people hating on Lia for hee vocals in ITZY. She's more comfortable with songs like her cover of Let Me Love You. And Rosè was still getting used to her knew technique. And I'm pretty sure Jimin was either sick or had some throat pain all in all. We need to not judge idols based off of years old clips, around debut. They're still learning and improving.

Nah, they actually doesn't have good singing skill. Lia has better support than both rose and jimin but still she is considered weak. Rose and Jimin both have nasally tone n high pitched tone . Sometimes it may sound very unique but most often it will sound very bad cuz they don't have any good technique and none support.

Cause if you know the REAL voice of Rosé you know she sing very well but in slow and deep song , but YG want here to sing nazal and high voice . Edit: I know rosé sing well , and sound pretty good in high voice , but if you listen to raw vocal of rosé ( youtube or even their documentary on Netflix ) you can tell that it's not the best way for her to sing like that , and she can be off tone pretty easily. She has a pretty voice but not a lot of technique. And I repeat : I LOVE ROSÉ ! The way the vocal trainers at YG teaches rose is a very somewhat old method and her voice isn't "naturally nasally" Its the way the vocal teachers are teaching her which can obviously strain her voice or in instance make her sound a little offtune. Rose has a really nice when she sing in her natural voice. Yall will disagree with anything lmfao if you don't know how the industry works then be quite.

Every singers are having their bad day. I'm a singer too and a musical theater actor, but I never criticized my fellow singers if ever they had mistake in a single performances. Because I know to myself that every singers are not perfect all the time. Even Mariah Carey had her own bad days in singing. It's just funny how these people who cannot sing at all, are brave enough to criticize these singers. Lol. Rose improved a lot, the clip was during her rookie days . Her performance with Chanyeol, Jihyo and 10cm in MAMA was so good. Lia is a good singer but she really seems nervous during the performance. Its also understandable that she might be exhausted too since it was a concert.

Not gonna lie, jimin is indeed a man with powerful vocals and dance skills within the industry already. His song Lie required high notes as the chorus. Hard enough while dancing. And the collab with Charlie Puth? The production entered the wrongs keys. His voice is high pitched, which can go great with certain keys live. But if behind the scenes, he can exercise his vocals to fit the tune. And later, we were able to see how Jimin's voice can fit an instrument ( guitar) with his song promise. Even if BTS disbanded, they have a promising future in the industry. And for Lia, she was visibly trying hard not to panic. And for Rose, she's strong vocals and that was just a rehearsal. I hope they don't get bashed like they did before

I don't understand the Jimin one tbh, I've been to 2 bts concerts in 2018 and also in 2019. All 7 members had amazing live vocals including Jimin. I don't recall ever hearing his voice crack or hearing him miss a high note even while dancing. I rly do think he's a great singer.
It was after bts’ world tour so their throats were exhausted. The award show fcked up that day too. You can hear that instrumental is almost unheard and weird. It’s not the original instrumental of fake love. Sound producer picked the wrong one. The show organizers apologized later. Not only Jimin couldn’t sing good there cuz of this but actually all members.
Bts are are really good at singing lives. It's just that mistakes can happen and voice can Crack while singing. It's perfectly fine and in this video jimin wasn't feeling well and he himself was so dosspointed in his performance. It's not just just jimin who wasn't great but none of the bts members couldn't give a good performance. And the frustrating thing is that whenever there is a disagreement ppl still drag this damn episode and sleeps on his other incredible performance and hate on bts☠️
He has messed up tons of times. There have been tremendous times where he has had voice cracks & he has the most voice cracks in bts and also strained his voice. He needs vocal lessons because he's also ruining his voice & throat like this. I don't know about you but it's not a lie that Jimin has had voice cracks more than probably any other k-pop idol.

as an amateur singer myself, i can tell you, people tend to forget that everyone whether professional singers or not, have off days or moments with their voice and it can be a number of natural reasons. (hasnt warmed up yet, vocal chords havent opened yet, not having taken a big enough breath before a high note, coming out/or starting to get sickness, etc). the voice is one the hardest musical instruments to play! one of the beautiful yes but definitely not easy! even for naturally gifted people, there will be off days! edit: also i forgot the add, all these idols are to admired for their hardwork and unique vocals. theyre human, they have off days too. doesnt make them bad singers though

Rose actually had a cold and a sore throat that day. She was apparently gonna come out of the competition, but still participated cuz she wanted to. She took medication for it to sing that day. Also, she nailed the part live, this was in the behind the scenes. She seemed to have a problem reaching high notes in the behind the scenes. (But yes there r times she sings off-tune, but she has improved a lot) Also this particular performance of Jimin, he strained his voice after so many continuous concerts. And this led to his vocal cords not being stable. Thus why he was especially off-tune that day.

I am a singer. It's not easy to put your voice in the right position sometimes. It depends on the situation. Some days my voice sounds better than others, some days I can sing songs perfectly and other days I make mistakes. And it's even harder when you have to perform in a 2h concert where you have to sing and dance at the same time. Besides, these are very few videos of very specific situations, you cannot judge someone's vocal skills by just watching 2 videos of them. These idols have had great vocals moments too, as well as bad ones. Singing is a very hard skill to manage and I understand their voice cannot be great sometimes.

As I said these are very specific situations. I know they are not the best vocalists in the world and they have a lot of things to improve but still, they can sing. Although I gotta admit that idols' vocal training is usually very poor and it should be improved or something cause companies always focus on dance skills rather than vocals

She has the best technique out of everyone in itzy but she's just not a very stable singer (as in when singing on stage and while dancing). Yeji's technique isn't as good as her but she's rather stable.

And Rosè was still getting used to her knew technique. And I'm pretty sure Jimin was either sick or had some throat pain all in all. Y’all gotta understand that BTS had 24 concerts in each of 2018-19 without proper rest. Continuous concerts can obviously ruin your voice(and we know BTS has so many hype songs in concerts which took a toll on Jimin,V’s voice). Look at Proof live performances, they’ve improved alot in 2021-2022.

Not gonna lie, jimin is indeed a man with powerful vocals and dance skills within the industry already. His song Lie required high notes as the chorus. Hard enough while dancing. And the collab with Charlie Puth? The production entered the wrongs keys. His voice is high pitched, which can go great with certain keys live. But if behind the scenes, he can exercise his vocals to fit the tune. And later, we were able to see how Jimin's voice can fit an instrument ( guitar) with his song promise. Even if BTS disbanded, they have a promising future in the industry.
And for Lia, she was visibly trying hard not to panic.

I don't understand the Jimin one tbh, I've been to 2 bts concerts in 2018 and also in 2019. All 7 members had amazing live vocals including Jimin. I don't recall ever hearing his voice crack or hearing him miss a high note even while dancing. I rly do think he's a great singer.
It was after bts’ world tour so their throats were exhausted. The award show fcked up that day too. You can hear that instrumental is almost unheard and weird. It’s not the original instrumental of fake love. Sound producer picked the wrong one. The show organizers apologized later. Not only Jimin couldn’t sing good there cuz of this but actually all members.
Bts are are really good at singing lives. It's just that mistakes can happen and voice can Crack while singing. It's perfectly fine and in this video jimin wasn't feeling well and he himself was so dosspointed in his performance.
It's not just just jimin who wasn't great but none of the bts members couldn't give a good performance.

as an amateur singer myself, i can tell you, people tend to forget that everyone whether professional singers or not, have off days or moments with their voice and it can be a number of natural reasons. (hasnt warmed up yet, vocal chords havent opened yet, not having taken a big enough breath before a high note, coming out/or starting to get sickness, etc).
the voice is one the hardest musical instruments to play! one of the beautiful yes but definitely not easy! even for naturally gifted people, there will be off days!
edit: also i forgot the add, all these idols are to admired for their hardwork and unique vocals. theyre human, they have off days too. doesnt make them bad singers though

Rose just singing backstage before perform she is nervous but sungjae btob as her senior /sunbae help rose give one trick singing relax, and after that rose never failed

when idols don’t perform enough they get annoyed
when they perform too much they get worried
when they lip sync they are fake
when they sing live and make mistakes they don’t have skill
How can someone improve when they don’t make mistakes and practice?
Performing in front of an audience feels different from a training room I hope everyone remembers that and be kinder or at least funny when giving critique

Rose actually had a cold and a sore throat that day. She was apparently gonna come out of the competition, but still participated cuz she wanted to. She took medication for it to sing that day. Also, she nailed the part live, this was in the behind the scenes. She seemed to have a problem reaching high notes in the behind the scenes.
(But yes there r times she sings off-tune, but she has improved a lot)
Also this particular performance of Jimin, he strained his voice after so many continuous concerts. And this led to his vocal cords not being stable. Thus why he was especially off-tune that day.
Uhm.. This wasn't when they had a competition 🤦♀️ its a collaboration stage in a big awards show🤦♀️
