@@johnwoa Going off of the baseless theories associated with the island, everything should be related to Oak Island, right? Every lost treasure is supposedly buried there.
@@TheNBKiller I agree with you regarding the "baseless theories" that are presented on this sensation-oriented "Entertainment" Reality TV show. However, there are indeed some sound theories about Oak Island but many of the ridiculous outlandish theories presented on this show drive me up a wall! As for the alleged Roman sword, they need to enlist a better expert--- preferably someone from Europe who is more well-versed in ancient Roman antiquity. Even if the sword is genuine, it is only a ceremonial sword. As for an ancient Roman connection, Marty Lagina is a highly-educated engineer and even he stated that the rock roadway uncovered in the swamp looked like an ancient Roman road. That sword was snagged on the bottom of Mahone Bay by fishermen back in the 1940's and was kept in their family for decades until it was turned over to this TV show. Today, it is illegal under Canadian law to scavenge, remove or retrieve any artifact, etc... from the bottom of Mahone Bay. That is because of all the many thousands of ancient shipwrecks that dot the bottom of Mahone Bay. In fact, the name "Mahone" is derived from the French word essentially meaning "low, long boats driven by many oars".

They find ancient roman artifacts... old spanish coins and trinkets and incan rings... it doesnt add up...its as if some of this stuff is placed there to be found..

The first question should be, is this sword some kind of reproduction made for tourists, in some other location? I think people should google it. There might be more information available then what is presented here.
I lost my Job during this pandemic and decided to Start a Star Wars Channel to keep other's happy and for entertainment. Stay Safe everyone . 💚💚🤍🤍🧡🧡
Daithi Sammon - If you can, power to you. Obviosuly, sorry to hear about your lose, but soldier on.
It's hard to see that as a Roman sword. Did any Roman forger/smith make swords out of copper? Hard to see that either.
they could have sorted treasure boxes and discarded the sword at sea?
The man could be wrong about the sword also. Always get a second opinion.
So why is the expert holding that with no gloves...?
Because clean hands are usually enough, and the tactile sensitivity of your fingers is dulled by a glove, making it more difficult to judge if you are damaging the object.
Because he reached the skill level that unlocks the ability to not wearing gloves anymore? Idk... Oh wait this is real life...
@@themodernmedievalmaker2794 I would think that it should go beyond just damaging it from physical touching though, I'm also referring to chemical imbalances that may occur upon being touch like that. You would think damage on any level for a piece like this whether it was a real used sword or not should be avoided, hopefully tests were done prior to filming this so they knew.
It’s obviously something somebody planted to be found.
Apparently, these gents haven't heard of Neoclassical art, quite popular in the 18th and 19th centuries.
*who would fake that *
PRODUCERS "NOT US THATS FOR SURE, NOT LIKE YOU NEVER FIND ANYTHING!"
Has the new season started? And have they dug up the money pit yet?
November 10th. I cant wait.
Who would go to that trouble? Someone who wanted to sell to a market where consumers wanted decorative swords for their walls. Those things are mass produced. Roman swords were made of steel. That type of junk is all over the place.
Is it possible? Could it be?
I don't need to watch to tell you....... The origin is.......Yes the history channel prop-room.
How has this show not been cancelled
"Roman Sword" with fake patina... fake news...
Ya cuz no rust and was in ocean
Bronze doesnt rust....
@@zack94attack1 - and Brandon, I know a bit about casting. If we are talking about the same sword, it is a casting, as an ornament, not a real weapon. Not to say you couldn't kill someone with it, but that would not be the standard.
Why is he handling it like that if it's real?
So is it antique or its a fake ?
yes
The true curse is this show.
I watch this show for my own amusement 🤣🤣🤣
Why would somebody "fake" a decorative show peice (sword) its possible that it was a symbolic peice. There are millions of "fake" crosses all around the world, how many ppl have mason rings or memorabilia of certain followings that are representations of older real artifacts.
Do dna want to see if someone got cut up
I'm just waiting for them to say they found jimmy hoffa's wallet....should happen any day now.
They find ancient roman artifacts... old spanish coins and trinkets and incan rings... it doesnt add up...its as if some of this stuff is placed there to be found..
I could listen to the narrator's voice all day long.
Honestly is there any one who hasn't been to fantasy island ???????
Next island tunels
Maybe the sword was a replica and not a fake?
If something is worth a lot of money and they can’t put a price on it, and if they can’t have it,….they will most likely downplay it as a fake…they do the same with authentic art pieces also.
Where was the swrod found which country
