I'm also a newlywed, and I've also been watching TONS of organization and decluttering videos! I just feel like this season of life lends itself to a fresh start. It's been so helpful to watch videos of others with more experience, and it's also motivating to see how awesome it can be to have a finished product that's easy to use and beautiful to look at. Please don't get rid of the sweater you met Gabe in! I'm a huge fan of keeping nostalgic clothing because you see them hanging there so often, and they really do remind you of sweet times. People say, "Oh, getting rid of the object doesn't mean you're getting rid of the memories." Of course that is true, but seeing the object can elicit memories far more often than they would come to mind otherwise. I'm never going to get rid of the dress I wore on my first date with my husband. I think it's really sweet to have that type of thing for the rest of your life. It's also the type of thing that I love hearing about from my parents, and so if I ever have children, I like the idea of being able to show them and tell them about the object.
Jess, you are ABSOLUTELY STUNNING with your natural curly hair (instead of the updo) , you should wear it like that more often!
