    I bought a BCS 605 back in 95 with a 30” tiller. Still have it and run it. Great machine and very strong.

    I drooled over the BCS ads in Mother Earth News back in the 70's. Troy Bilt also had a tiller called the "Horse", with a similar design. Sadly, both were out of reach at the time. A wonderful video that brought back good memories!

    I’m pretty sure BCS is an Italian company. So many interesting and innovative farming machines come from there.

      lol. You should see the ones in Asia. Think 25-30 HP diesels.

    My brother in law in Spokane, WA has worked on BCS equipment before...as a small equipment tech. He has high praise for the equipment, the concept, the whole idea. The first I have ever seen two-wheel tractors is from TH-cam videos of work being done in Africa and SE Asia, little diesel two-wheelers. The concept, the simplicity, and the ingenuity is amazing. I love the stability, and the ability to tackle rough and steep land for clearing and maintenance. I wish I could have seen a demo with the rolling seat and the flail mower actually taking on a brush field or sapling in forest undercover. Or trail maintenance.

      Jim has been using the same machine for 16 years with only basic maintenance
      The manufacturer has a some videos showing it doing some tougher work on their TH-cam channel
      Thanks for watching

    I've always been intrigued by these machines, I think it's a great fit for just about ALL of us that has a few acres and can't justify a conventional 4 wheel tractor. I'm really surprised these units haven't become more universal accepted ( Guys love their Compact Tractors ) !
    Eye opener Brock...great segment !

      They are very versatile, and price wise you could get the machine with 10 different attachments for the price of just a small tractor
      Thanks for watching

  • @todd9453
    @todd9453 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    I have looked at those in the past. If someone is looking for a compact solution or they want to try and stay in a little better shape by not doing everything from a seat these things are pretty badass. I have been impressed with the crazy amount of versatility.

    Gravely has been making these since the 50's I believe. I had one with a plow blade for Snow,a plow and cultivator for the garden, a mower, a rototiller, brush mower and sulkey to ride when you were mowing. There were others but it was back in the 70's that I had it so I can't quite remember everything I had.

  • @LittleCabin
    @LittleCabin 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    Interesting! Kinda reminds me of an old Gravely setup we had when I was a kid. Might not have been quite as robust as this, but had lots of different attachments and walk-behind or ride options.

    We have a 2 wheel, but not BCS (we have Grillo). As another commenter stated, it's a lot like an old Gravely, but with the joys of being able to rotate the handles. We use it with the rotary plow for our garden spot, then amend with the tiller, push stuff around with a blade, and we have a brush mower for it. The brush mower is a great companion to a tractor with a brush hog, for getting close to fence rows, or for blazing a trail in unknown terrain, to make sure it's safe for the tractor. Wouldn't dream of being without it

  • @rgd2598

    I’ve been eyeing a small rear tine walk behind tiller for my garden. Once the plants get up to about 16” then my small 2 series Deere doesn’t have enough clearance. So then it becomes manual labor for weeding and maintaining the rows. This would do this and help me clear the grown up fence rod and along my pond and creek. Would he sell to someone in East Texas? Halfway between Dallas and Shreveport La. ? Thanks Brock!

      For hills i would find a way to keep the implement down. Thinking bout getting one of these with the hydrostatic trans and flail 30 inch for brush, kinda like the 150 chipper but chute seems high. I wish these had a diesel.
