Really nice and in-depth video review . I'm going to buy this monitor soon.
dont do it
Did you experience that long lag (about 7 seconds or such) before showing image that some reported with this monitor when it's turned on or when resumed from standby?
if you mean from sleep then yes this monitor does takes time to wake up. I have a fast boot time and I'm already on windows when the display shows.
Hi, which mode of monitor give you less ghosting, respond time fastest or MPRT?
I use reponse time on fast settings and not mprt, enabling mprt disables adaptive sync. I dont use fastest settings as it creates another problem which is creating coronas or halo effect instead. if you can't live with ghosting I'd just go for an IPS panel.
im still new with monitors so im sorry if this might sound kind of ignorant but i just bought this monitor and it has this small ish white lines. its really strong on the reds but not so visible on the blues. is this a defect or is the monitor just built like this? thank you so much❤
I think it might be a defect, you shouldn't see any lines that's not supposed to be there.
@@basicreviews6056 thanks, i thought this might be something that could be fixed on its settings but its unfortunate that it might really be a defect. i bought this online so i dont know if i want to go over the hassle of waiting for it to arrive again. thank you for the heads up
Can you use the monitor vertically if you're streaming so you can read chat and adjust OBS?
Yes, but you'll need a vesa monitor stand since the built-in stand doesn't rotate.
You had to test on mprt mode , it reduces ghosting
It does, but it disables adaptive sync so I don't use it. It also sometimes introduced flickering. I'll make a video comparison, thanks.
I purchase new one. But i can't fix display with given standard. Locking arrangement is not work properly . Could you help me?
I'm sorry, I can't understand your question. What is the problem? You could contact the store you bought it from if it's faulty.
how is the colours comparing to ips monitors
I don't really have the ability to test the color gamut, but generally VA panels can produce about 5% less than IPS.
Hello, how did you install the stand at the back of the monitor?? I am having trouble assembling the stand
@@cherryragmac5805you can see it at 2:55
is this good for gaming by its price range
Yes, at this low price it's hard to find something with better specs, unless you go with unknown manufacturers (Chinese brands). The only thing to be weary of is this is a VA panel, that means it's prone to ghosting. IPS panels on the same price range usually only comes with 60-75 refresh rate.
@@basicreviews6056 how is this Acer EK240Y 23.8-inch Full HD IPS Panel 1ms response time and 100hz
Hi, does it support amd freesync?
Yes it does.
How do you put it on 100hz? I’m only getting 60.
right click on desktop, click display settings, at the bottom click on advance display settings, change your refresh rate to 100hz
Also depends on whether your GPU can output 1080p 100hz. I plugged this monitor into an ancient Dell laptop from 2012 and could only enable 1080p 85hz
@@dr.hououin6638what was the hz of the laptop itself? Is it 60?
@@basicreviews6056what about console I can’t change it
You might be using the VGA port
Does this monitor produce sound
No, it doesn't have built-in speakers.
