Lonkero is a nickname to Finnish cocktail, Gin Long Drink. It is gin and grape fruit lemonade. Very simple but tasty drink. It was created to Helsinki 1952 Olympics and has been a cultural icon ever since. Lonkero literally means "a tenticle." During 1952 Olympics also a brady version was created, but that was short lived. Nowadays there are several different ones. Pineapple, cranberry, peach, blueberry, lemonade, passion fruit, vodka and lime and so on.

Such a simple ingredients and incredibly tasty. And easy to make if you have access to grapefruit lemonade. Just add gin and its ready. Long Drink has become a Finnish export that is slowly spreading even beyond our (and Estonia's) borders

Lonkero =Finnish longdrink grape+alcohol sweat and cool :) special stuff mostly sold on Finland and Baltics only. Now there is some brands in USA and Australia i think

Yes, it is the nickname for long drink, but Finnish people mean a specific Finnish drink. Not the general international meaning of long drink when they say Lonkero.
I normally say that Lonkero is to Gin, what Bacardi Breezer is to Rum, and Smirnoff Ice is to Vodka.
