As Salaam Alaikum The problems that we have are within our power to solve as a ummah of prophet Muhammad (SAWS). Until we understand this with complete tawakul we will continue to struggle. When we can’t even give Salaams to one another when we see each other walking on the street we aren’t ready to criticize our leadership. It all starts on the ground level with how we treat each other regardless of what our ethnic backgrounds are. If a kafir comes to me with words of wisdom or advice on any subject, I am to assume that he KNOWS I am a Muslim and as a consequence he KNOWS the position of Islam on that specific subject matter correctly. The problems that we have are within our power to solve as a ummah of prophet Muhammad (SAWS). Until we understand this with complete tawakul we will continue to struggle. When we can’t even give Salaams to one another when we see each other walking on the street we aren’t ready to criticize our leadership. It all starts on the ground level with how we treat each other regardless of what our ethnic backgrounds are. According to our scriptures you must believe in The God "The One and indivisible" not Trinity or other polytheistic beliefs.
2- Believe in All books (which we know about and which we do not know).
3- Believe in All prophets (which we know about and which we do not know). For example Jews rejected Jesus & Muhammed (pbuh) and christians rejected Muhammed (pbuh) and took jesus as a deity.
4- All Angels. For example: The jews said to Muhammed (pbuh) who revealed to you the message? He said: "Gabriel". They said: If you said Michael is the one who descends with mercy, rain, and plants, we would believe you. As for Gabriel, who descends with war, fighting, and torment, he is our enemy. We do not believe in a revelation that he brought.
(iike if Gabriel was doing it from his own self and not by God's order) this is what is disbelief.

According to Our scriptures, Every people should follow the prophet of their time. In time of Moses (peace be upon him) people had to follow Moses. In Jesus (peace be upon him) time people had to accept him and follow him. In Muhammed (peace be upon him) time you must follow him.
If a prophet is from The God of Abraham and all prophets and all creation is sending you a prophet, you can not reject his messanger for your X & Y reason.

Some Muslims, in their own right and ancestral traditions, believe that the right of some people on one side to speak freely presupposes the duty of the other side to listen.
Except for the domain of formal teaching/learning, It's totally wrong in modern society to think so. You do a favor by listening and out of respect for moral human values; and only when you decide it is in your interest. The more critical a listener you are , the better things you get to hear.

If a kafir comes to me with words of wisdom or advice on any subject, I am to assume that he KNOWS I am a Muslim and as a consequence he KNOWS the position of Islam on that specific subject matter correctly. As a consequence I must assume that he knows Islam and yet chose to refuse it which to me, as an honest believer, is absolutely unthinkable.
So before he shares any wisdom or advice I am already questioning his sanity and he better start explaining how it is possible to know and understand Islam and still reject it.

Listening certainly does not mean agreeing - listening should be an aid to knowledge and understanding - even if this means listening to an enemy because to know one’s enemy is surely beneficial to oneself and others as well (as it helps in defence against that enemy)…This is why the Islamic Republic of Iran’s leadership have a policy to listen and engage with all nations, even those hostile to Muslims, except for the false Zionist entity…
In addition IF Muslims do as one of our early exemplars (Peace and Blessings be upon him) stated then no amount of deception or untruth could cause us to deviate from following The Truth - and he said (English translation) : Use your intellect to understand something when you hear about it - the intellect that examines, that is, and not just the intellect that repeats what it hears, for surely there are many who repeat the knowledge that they hear, and there are few who examine it.
In addition, our beloved Prophet Muhammad (Peace and Blessings be upon him and his family) used to listen to many different people who wished to speak with him including, Muslims, Christians, Jews, Hypocrites, Polytheists, unbelievers etc.
