Amazing professional Video, really captured the moment, hopefully thumper will make a speedy recovery, in the mean time XH558's Last flypast 28th june, another one for the diary
Nice one. I saw them at Eastbourne, and a couple of times at Southend. When they first arrived at Southend, there were so many people out on the apron, that a directive soon went out, that only people on aviation business were allowed out there. I would have had a couple of decent pictures from the Lancaster club, but some kind gentleman with his kid on his shoulders, was walking up and down, in front of the photographers. As well as loads of screaming kids running around. The high fence also doesn't help :( I did manage some pretty good pictures of them taking off for Clacton, one of which I have framed and hanging on my wall. I also managed to get an Apron pass to get some close ups on the Saturday morning before they departed. Then got a couple of pictures later, of them flying over Hadleigh Castle.
Thank you too Jack, a memorable moment to cherish.
Great Video Ron. Another one of those moments that will go down in Southend Airport history in my opinion :)

Isn't it ironic that the colour scheme presently on the BBMF Dakota was on a wartime C-47 that is now owned by Canadian Warplane Heritage?
Yes, and now we have the Canadian Lancaster flying with ours
