He tried the late flip board slide roughly a dozen times between the semi finals and the finals in practice. He didn’t get close to landing any of them. Nollie late flip board slide at the end of a perfect run is the stuff of legends. I had to watch that 10 times on different speeds 😂 front foot!!!!????? Bonkers. New sheriff in town 👮♂️
Yuto has photographic muscle memory. He learns a trick once and then it's just there whenever he wants to pull it out. The dude is incredible, and he's still just a kid.
@@laughingman_confused He is definitely very picky about which flip tricks he’ll throw in comp. Funny enough, I think the tre flip 50-50 is the easiest flip-grind combo I’ve seen him throw in comp. The other ones he’ll do are nollie heel variants, or the switch tre lip.
He started out with quite a few flips.. then mellowed it down for a while to perhaps a tre flip in a run.. this was a good level of flips in a run for my liking
Thing is, a lot of skaters do flip in/out and he does the things that not many others can do. He has a strategy. Nobody is doing nollie 270 lips both ways consecutively. Aside from Gustavo, maybe the only other to do Tre 50-50 in runs. That’s a single trick attempt in SLS for Dashawn Jordan lol. Yuto is next level. That late flip boardslide was insane.
